Larkey -------wonderful cheerful happy pleasant sociable larkey-- how often have I said that you can tell who's the DOG trainer by who has a perfectly trained dog..
****** I was doing pretty well there for a while but I have to admit that getting lacky through the two doors at the nursing home yesterday made me look foolish... or actually foolisher then usual .....as I held the heavy first door so that sizzles tail would clear without shutting and leaving jiminy in the nursing home... because in JIMINEYS panic of trying to find me he could start to run and become a 150 pound unidentified flying object through their dining room kitchen and anywhere else---- so I was very concerned that he make it through the door--- meanwhile I had to open the second door which meant the larkey got his eye on “where's the car” and bolted out--- happy as could be to the parking lot ..... if he could have grabbed it by the bumper and dragged it back to me he would have been very pleased to do it.. that was terrible and I honestly don't think I could have held him--- he knew where he was going and he was gonna go there. regardless of the fact it could have been across a four lane highway.. I was very comfortable with the fact that he was only going to our car.. but you have to look forward with this nonsense. he has no business running off like that dragging me behind without even noticing my more than 150 pounds. so if the definition of a dog trainer is someone who can alter the behavior of a dog I need to sharpen my skills a little.. Otherwise I'm just one more person walking around with a dog on a leash. which sometimes is adequate.. but it does not make for a well behaved dog. Bentley he AINT .. We have a ways to go. He is. sooooo pleasant.
Meanwhile the activities director was delighted with her boxes crayons and things.. Megan---wife of ira Toyota employee with moira -- went with me. it was her first time wandering into a place like that.. and she naturally zeroed in on the activities director and the other director and got all sorts of paperwork and a copy of their schedule of things that they had booked to entertain these people.... Alzheimer's or not Alzheimer's... that's a problem for me if I'm to be booked into somebody elses schedule.. I try not to do that because of my poor memory...seeing as we had to go by the Ipswich senior center.. we stopped there for more ideas.
I have to admit...... it was my first time out the driveway turning the wrong direction and having to make a u turn—so megan also got the picture of “ASSISTED DRIVING”. YOU. KNOW... THINGS LIKE. : THAT CAR IS STOPPING.... THE LIGHT IS RED/GREEN. ... DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE WE ARE GOING??? STUFF LIKE THAT... I TOLD HER I FULLY APPRECIATE ALL. TH EHELP I CAN GET.... MY SDP CO HORTS HAVE SAID... IF I HIT THREE THINGS IN ONE DAY I HAVE TO GIVE UP DRIVING.
WHICH BECOMES 2 DENTS AND CALL UBER....
