a trained dog is a wonderful thing.   -----bentley came and touched my sleeping arm so gently.. and i said" oh you need to go out.." and quicklky got my slippers on...while he went over and got back on the couch and said " i don't need to go out, i just made a huge puddle on the floor and

 i thought you probably wanted to clean it up before donna gets here" 

BETWEEN MOMMY NATURE AND FATHER TIME .. WE HUMANS DO NOT STAND A CHANCE.. ..... -- i can think of  no better example other than teh pregnancy tests that i knew from 50 years ago were 78% accurate-- but that 22% were that they gave a negative-- when indeed  EVENTUALLY FATHER TIME WOULD CORRECT THAT INACCURACY...   NOW   IN TODAYS WORLD.... may  i sue the government for cruel and unusual punishment???--  so yesterday---- i did hear from the

bank... on teh $87,000   LOAN...we applied for to cover payroll and utilities for 2 months.  which if we have the same number of employees at the end of june, teh loan becomes a grant and we do not have to pay it back,,,,,,   as i understand it.   couple kinks......  firstly the  bank person said teh form was minus my ssa#--  i sent it to him... and got back.... "we are not aLLOWED TO ALTER FORMS.. YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND ANOTHER. form  .. TO MY ATTENTION ...

 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE."

I WILL EXPLAIN--- DULL AND BORING... BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED....$87,000 IS ALOT OF MONEY-- LIKE A CARROT IN FRONT OF THE DONKEY I WAS DROOLING  AND PANIC'ED... not for myself, but 2 months of pYROLL IS MAYBE 2 MONTHS MORE LIFE FOR SDP....

HIS OFFICE WAS CLOSED DUE TO COV19..  I CALLED HIS CELL- WHICH IS ON HIS LETTERHEAD..  AND DUE TO PHONE COMPANY  BLAH BLAH BLAH   NO CELL PHONE... SO I CALLED LINDA AND ASKED HER TO TRY AND CALL HIM- AND I WENT BACK TO EMAIL IN PANIC MODE. 

WHEN HE SENT THE THING IN, I TRIED TO GET  printed copy ( just because  i am old and do not trust computers)  and teh link he had give lkinda and i was non functional... so in best  board of directors mode... i said to myself...." i have delagated it... i am not supposed to worry about it"  so i never got a printed copy.

NOW ...I NEEDED THAT...  SO I CALLED TEH BANK GUY WHO OFFERED TO SEND US AN ENCRYPTED FORM...  i had no idea what teh #$%^ that would mean but  since i had nothing , i said great.

i had planned a nice quiet rainy morning learning to use my instapot-- and had it set up next to my computer happily boiling water for practice. 

linda offered to come in and help--- encrypted???  you must download teh current adobe whatever which was a whole new layer of problems

passwords and paperwork .

finally we uncrypt the thing and he has sent us a copy of all my emails-- and did not attach teh form which we needed to correct.-- but we did not know if this  encrypting bit meant it was hidden somewhere in the  crypt. we spun wheels for hours --  finally tim got the emails i had been sending... abnd sent us the form to be resubmitted  which we quickly did--- and as teh "sent" appeared, teh number of employpees flashed in front of my eyes.   38?????   we never had 38 employees and if that is the number of employees we are to hav on june 30th or go to jail for imbesselment,  i was ready to pack my bags.  

more emails  to tim saying   ??38??   who by now was slightly less than teh dry  professional   accountant...... I DID NOT REALIZE HE THOUGHT MY COMBINATIONSO F CApitql letters  had some significance like yelling---  and you know that is not true.. so lack of that communication, he was a bit "off"  

" whaDDAYA MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WORK THERR? "  ... well,,,,, NOT 38  --  TURNS OUT... THEY WANTED TEH NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON PAYROLL IN THE YEAR 2019 -- AND -- PER OUR PAYROLL COMPQANY IT WAS 38--  WHICH CERTAINLY LOOKED VERY STRANGE, BUT AT LEAST I HAD SOMEONE TO BLAME IT ON---

  THIS IS  THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN DELEGATING. 

 SO THE PAPERWORK IS NOW ... ONCE AGAIN SUBMITTED-- I DID HEAR OF SOMEONE WHO DID GET THIS PPP

and i did hear it would appear in our bank account.

devin put in a long day yesterday... i hope she is alive and well today...   she is good to watch while she trains the dogs in teh arena--  we had a small problem yesterday ... the dogs ar e on tha 7am timetable and  she was not due here til 8... so i asked denis to go do a  "quickpik"  adn hand out cookies to eliminate the empty tummy of a dane....    we had a few volungeers here both sat and dunday...   sort of one per 1/2 acre  as tehy picked up each of the dog runs  all carefully fenced in from each otehr.  judy exhaused herself also trying to clean up the corners and crevices  ( and refrigerators...)   donna showed also... she is another neatnik.  

having trainers in thE ARENA  ON A VERY REGUOAR BASIS IS WONDERFUL FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SEE SOME EXPERT TRAINING... BOTH DEV AND MEG ARE A STUDY IN CONVERSATION WITH DOGS... AND WHAT BETTRE TIMNE TO  WATCH THEM AS THEY EXPLAIN TEH PIECES OF LIFE WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY BE PART OF THEIR LIVES WITH A BALANCE PERSON.  THEY BOTH ARE NSUPER TRAINERS..   DOGS ;OOSE FOLLOW THEM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FUN TO DO... PUT ON  COLLAR AND HARNESS  HAPPILY.. EMMEDIATELY GO INTO WORK MODE  SLOW.. FASTER  UP STAIRS..AND DOWN..   ON WALKWAY SEE THRU   LIE DOWN  AN DWAAIT SOMEWHERE.. MOMMY CHICKEN WORKS VERY HARD FOR 21 DAYS KEEPING THOSE EGGS TURNED  ON SCHEDULE... APLUUS A STEADY TEMPO AND HUMIDITY... THEY LACKED AND WERE NEVER INTERESTED IN THE DETAILS. IOWA ( or close to it) controlls the chick producing world.

never in my lifetime  department..   i hope i can attach a mobile market puts drove in  banks to shame... i don't know where it is filmed...but fresh fruits to dairy dept... it is all there,, run thru a reg and bagged  and teh driver never leaves teh car.but

then i never thought i would see an advertisement asking people not to drink lysol either.

i broke protocol with food ordered from the chef... i had been ordering only food that we would then heat  to a respectable temp.     i forgot..... peaches and creme crepe sounded good... that was last nights supper....   it sure was.... then..

in the news  there is a group of GI  doctors who are looking into  if there is any connection between upset tummy and  cov -- hopefully their statistics do not get screwed up by too much peach and creme crepes .

parts of this  economy are doing just fine.. we did manage to get a package overnighted from texas...  teh mail seems normal... supermarkets shelves are fine around here .. so i am told...but then... never in my life ....... i called teh board of health to see if they needed help with tracing cov cases-- which i couold easily do by phone ... in my car...  but he said they were "using" all he school nurses who were still on the payroll.. and just redefined thier job..  he took my phone in case... this is teh ipswich board of heeqalth... who  went on to tell me he had a list of the stores he was "allowed to open"  and he decided that the "grooming" shop was one of those critical stores because he once  took a cat there to be shamopooed with a special shampooo therefore it qualified as a critical medica l fqcility.

that -- along with THE tattoo places in georgia, i just don't know... there is something in me that says stretch out things like  money  as best i can  to keep sdp afloat  with our skeleton crew.... . this could go  on for ... how about next year's school year????

NOT BY ME. AND THEN OF COURSE DEVIN DONING DEVEN TYOE THINGS IN THE ARENA AREA..

SHORT VENT.....last night on tv  there werr 2 DOCTORS  sitting on the sidelines 

 the master of the ceremony kept  (3 times)  referring to them  as  " deb"  and DOCTOR fauchi

and we are told there is no sexual discrimination??? she too deserves her title.

elvis has his new "horn tips"  -i knew the electric grinder noise might be upsetting, so

 rather than forcably tie or hold him by nose pinchers , i opted to use anesthesia.  ok....

i was floored to see bryan shake some fluid out of the syringw so there was only about 1/10 of a cc left

  that is a couple big drops...   he siad  it takes about 3 cc's to knock a horse out  but only a drop to

anesthetize a cow/bull.  that made it much easier on him... those horns are hard and with teh electric grinder

and a horse hoof rasp , he got the brass tips to fit perfectly... with a little bit of plastic wood and one set screw

 they look great--- and should not eliminate a problem, but it should help--  those hor n tips are sold in 

aggriculture stores... tehy also sell some temporary plastic ones. but these are common  and don't seem to bother him a bit.

As you clearly a long time devotee of the loving care of all sorts of animals, I am troubled that you have chosen to  have holes drilled into the horns of Elvis/Zye, the popular rescue Ebru living at Crazy Acres, in order to have those brass balls you purchased installed. Regardless  of whether or not the procedure is painless, and I assume it is, why put him through such an unnecessary procedure? Why add that additional weight to his head? He has not injured any animal or person while in your care.  He has not displayed any signs of aggression; quite the contrary. He has shown kindness and affection to his fellow stablemates, to anthropomorphize it. You can tell me it is none of my business but I do think it reflects poorly on the mission, purpose, and reputation of the SDP.

 i forgot yesterday to mention cate and grace-  and got a note from grace.....who is doing a fantastic job as only a true farmer can..   grace may be an RN, but more important to us , is she is a welll ttrained farmer who notices things......and also does not quit...  whe you need to get the hay in before it rains, you need to get the hay in-- everything else can wait.

Regarding yesterday's DD,  the person who helped me with the leaf taking on Sunday was Cate.  She has service dog Bellow.  After we put away our raking gear,  she helped me close up the barn, refill water buckets in the stalls and check the hay bags. The chickens were still roaming about, so we put them away.   We completed the chores and left the farm at 6:30 p.m.  Cate has to drive of an hour and a half to get home. She is a dedicated recipient/ volunteer who works diligently when she is at the farm.

Yesterday afternoon I stopped by the farm.  I noticed the hay bags in the stall s were empty or nearly empty.  Two of the water buckets, in the large stall,  had poop in them. The rest were either empty or nearly so.  I filled the hay bags, washed and filled the water buckets and depooped the stall.  I noticed the chickens were still outside so, I put them away.  Ariot and I left around 6:15 p.m.

now...  i try and pass on  worthwhile information.....about the white tape on th e side of my head..   i never knew it existed......"cover roll stretch"  seems to be it's name...  a very thin? paper? porous?  pretty sticky but not dreadfully so.... wierd stuff  in a ? 10 foot roll...  beats bandages hands down....  the reason i have it on my head, is   so my hearing aid does not fall out... why wouold it?  it is teh left ear one which i have in my right ear, so it is not configured to stay there...   i lost my right ear one - but finally found it, just after i rolled over it with my car. it suffered badly---    i am told costco replaces thigs without too much confuslin... if i could just get to costco....

i am ...personally ...not doing too badly....  remember in my history, after my house fire, i have lived in a  house  trailer... with 2 small children with 2 electric cars, with a basset hound with 12 black pups thanks to a neighbors black lab,  with a husband with a ruptured disk,  with a water supply kept from freezing  most of the time because i piled it with fresh manure....and a heat system kept live with 5 gallon "jerry cans"  of keroscene  hand dumped  twice daily and a sizeable christmas tree. 
  so i have been trained !

now... the most difficult rule is, i must be fully dressed ... with shoes... before i can have any coffee.  One must keep up one's standards.

the schedule worked perfectly yesterday   ---   haley got things done she never thought of before....  i call this education...   it never occured to her htat the 2 tiny sticks with 1/2 inch of orqange tape had cost me $2500  to put exactly thre as a survey marker.

my to do list is on the fridge in teht tent  -- some things got done- i saw teh "air chair" swings got found and hung.... they are very comfortqble---  "air chair"  wwere  teh good ones in my opinion when i bought them they were $100 each... now they are $24  and have to be a best buy for comfortable  dozing    you need a strong tree or rafter.. a good buy.

other wisdom of the day.... she who falls asleep and forgets to put  her handy dandy water bottle on the shelf, will not wake up to a dry bed. and since evaporation is a cooling process... the wet sheets are not inducive to   "warm".

dog seeing ghost... i jhave a story.. making a movie about ghosts.... in a "haunted" bar...  i was called on to have a puppy run down a  sort of hallway \with a bar on one side and stairwell  1/2 way down on the other..  i  had an awful time gettign the pup to run the whole way... it did  not want to go past the stairwell... afteer many tries we finally got the shot... and  then the bartender said to me... the ghost is  most often seen in that stairwell.    that is a ghost "story" without human ingervention... that dog  knew sokething...

well last night jiminey did too.. in this case it might also be a racoon  in the trash out ther... but  who knows???

JUGGLING--  PERFECT THING FOR KIDS of all ages...TO LEARN TO DO DURING THIS  COV BIT  -

- ROLL A COUPLE PAIR OF SOX INTO A BALL, AND YOU HAVE ALL THE EQUPMENT YOU NEED.. BY THE TIME YOU DROP THEM 64 TIMES AND HAVE TO FETCH THEM FROM UNDER THE COUCH YOU WILL HAVE EXERCISE TOO.  ALL LEVELS... BEGINNERS TOSS ONE FROM HQAND TO HAND... IF YOU CAN ADD A SECOND ONE , YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO THE TRADITIONAL THREE.  BUT IT DOES NOT STOP THERE... 4 OR 5... GO FOR IT..  COOPERATION... GO  back to two between 2 kids...and get to 5 between 2 kids.-- by the time we get thru this we will have a bunch of  entertainment... none the worse for weAR.

WHAT  A STUPID WASTE OF TIME...?  LIKE SITTING AROUND DOING NOTHING IS BETTER????  THIS IS A CONCEPT I DEMANDED OF MY CHILDREN ... IT SOUNDS LIKE I WAS TREMEDOUSLU ORGANIZED... NOT TRUE... I SOMETIMES TALK TO MY ELDEST DAUGHTER ABOUT 5AM...BECAUSE SHE GETS UP EARLY TOO....   YESSTERDAY SHE AND HER HUSBAND WERE GOING TO THIER "SECOND HOME"  FOR VARIETY'S SAKE....  THAT BEING THEIR RV WHICH IS PARKED IN THE YARD.  IN TALKING ABOUT HOW FORTUNATE SHE WAS TO HAVE A JOB  ANd WHY THAT WAS TRUE,  IS THAT IN HER "INDUSTRIAL/ BUSINESS CARIEER" SHE HAD ON OCASSION --WHEN THE GOING WAS SLOW- TO  USE THAT TIME TO LEARN SOMETHING  NEW..  SOME NEW COMPUTER SKILLS, OR SYSTEM OR FUNCTION. what some other employee did... .. SOME SENSABLE SOME SENSELESS... AND SHE NOW FINDS SHE IS THE ONLY ONE IN HER OFFICE WITH SOME STRANGE SKILL THAT SHE LEARNED WHEN SHE HAD NOTHNG ELSE TO DO.

NOT TOTALLY UNLIKE ME AND ROPE SPLICING... AND HOW SP;ICING SOME  SHAGGY ROPE IN AN OTHERWISE BEAUTIFUL  HORSE STABLE AS I STOOD AROUND WITH NOTHING TO DO...., LEAD TO TEH $7500 DONATION  WHICH WAS A "VOTE OF CONFIDENCE" WHICH GOT SERVICE DOG PROJECT GOING. 

SO BACK TO THE MOTOVATION TO SUCCEED-- THIS IS A PROBLEM IF SUCCESS  ITSELF IS NOT ENOUGH..... ESPECIALLY IN KIDS TO WHOM SUCCESS AT ANYTHING  HAS BEEN ELUSIVE...   THERE MAY BE A FEW CHILDREN WHO MAY NEED ENCOURAGEMENGT WITH A PARENT CRAWLING AROUND THE FLOOR LOOKING FOR SOX TOO...  SO BE IT.  JOIN THE FUN !

MEANWHILE JANINE IS TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER AN NURSING HOME PARADE OF ANIMALS== LORD KNOWS WE HAVE SOME ---- THIS WOUOLD BE TO ARRIVE WITH A TRAILER LOAD.. TO BE handed  TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE ARRICVED ONE  PERSON TO A CAR-- AND THEN WALK AROIUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE NURSING HOME . AND GET BACKI ON THE TRAILERS AND GO TO ANOTHER..--  FOR TH e ORDINARY PERSON THAT IS AN IMPOSSIBLE CHORE.. TO JANINE WITH GOOD TRUCK ... GOOD TRAILER. SCHLEPING ANIMALS ALL OVER 1/2 THE COUNTRY IS  NEARLY AN EVERY DAY OCCURANCE.   DONKEYS, MINI HORSES ,, GOATS.. DANES AND THAT "BOY COW"  ELVIS TEH ZEBU.   it would be second nature.

  USTA'BE  TOWNS WOULD PAY ME $1000  AN AFTERNOON TO SET UP THAT STUFF  AT "HOMECOMINGS" OR THE LIKE.  CHOWDERFEST, HARBORFEST, RIVERFEST.. WE DID THEM ALL-- SO THERE IS NO ONE MORE QUALIFIED-- AND IT IS SOMETHING TO DO.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED IS WE NEED TO FIND HOMES WHERE THE RESIDENTS COULD LOOK OUT TH E WINDOWS...  JUDY IS WORKING ON IT.

CHORTLE OF THE DAY....   SOMETIME TEH BACKGROUND OF THESE THINGS WAS IN ITSELF ENTERTAINING... 

I REMEMBER....... REX TRAILER.. TEH PERSONIFICATION OF THE WORD "GENTLEMAN"  DID MANY PARADES AROUND BOSTON... HE WAS BOSTON'S ROY ROGERS AND HAD A HUGE TV SHOW   LONG AGO.  WELL HE AGED TO THE POINT OF NO  LONGER HAVING HIS OWN HORSE "GOLDRUSH" - SO HE WOULD BORROW A PALOMINO I HAD.. AND I  OFTEN SENT A DONKEY TO WALK BEHIND "GOLDRUSH" WHICH ADDED AN ELEMENT WITHOUT MUCH TROUBLE. ONE 4TH OF JULY REX HAD 2 PARADES SCHEDULED.. NATICK AND WAKEFIELD...  I DID NOT GO ... JANINE DID ... WITH A FEW OF HER COLLEGE FRIENDS.. IT WAS PRETTY ROUTINE...-- SHE CAME HOME FROM NATICK IN A GREAT TIZZY... REX HAD NOT FQLLEN OFF GOLDRUSH, BUT REX's BALANCE HAD DETERIATED TO THE POINT THAT HE DID NOT SIT UPRIGHT AT ALL... AND SO JANINE HAD TO HANG ON TO HIM BY THE  ANKLE TO KEEP HIM IN THE SADDLE AS HE WAVED TO THE CROWDS..... LITTLE DID THEY KNOW.

so on to teh  STAFF schedule-- i spent time  organizing skills, cov,,, commute time,, nearly full time..... number of people  on the 12 acres aqnd where they could be. and of course... teh cameras....... THIS SCHEDULE WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL WE HAVE TO CHANGE TI FOR SOME OTHR REASON...  WHICH WILL HAPPEN REGULARLY--- I AM SURE.

so starting monday...  i think you may find your schedule is about what it had been with the exception of the trainers which megan  has organized and   will rotate and care for qa small bunch  of dogs in the barn/ puppy hill area,  basically teh toto and disney litters which she feels coudl usea bit of direction. 

so around that, i have scheduoled teh "office"  bunch    linda, donna---- aNd then eh "upkeep" bunch -  PAM  shanna haley aND DENIS WITH SOME DIRECTION OF THE BEAUTIFICATION DEPT ... GRACE

NOW WHO IS ALLOWED WHERE???? A BIG ISSUE  OF COIURSE

TEH HOUSE WILL BE MINE... AND DENIS, LINDA AND DONNA  ---- ANYONE NEEDING TO TALK TO LINDA-- SHE HAS AN AVAIOABLE WINBDOW NEAR THE DEAGLE HOURS

BANG ON\THAT ---- MY WINDOW IS TH ONE BEHIND THE WOODPLILE- OR IN MY CAR WANDERING.

THE TRAINING ROOM IS FOR  DENIS- NO ONE IS TO GO THERE.

 THE GUEST HOUSE IS AT THE MOMENT  UN OCCUPIED-- NOT OT BE ENTERED...

 AND PAM GETS TEH CHALLANGE... IF SHE DOES NOT WANT TO COMMUTE, SHE IS WELCOME TO THE NORTH END OF THE ICU HOUSE AS HER PRIVITE AREA.. THER EIS A BED, ROOM FOR HER 3 DOGS,  HEAT LIGHT AND WATER... SOME EEVEN WARM... AND A COFFEE MAKER... I THINK.

TEH COMMUNAL AREAS--- ALL MUST MAINTAIN AT LEAST 10'  SPACING AND WILL HAVE THINGS LIKE CHOLROX AND GLOVES 

THE T TENT  WITH IT'S TABLES  REFRIGERATOR AND MICROWAVE, AND STOVE   ETC....

THE REST ROOM IS IN THE  LAUNDRY BUILDING . WHICH IS HEATED  

 TEH WELCOMME TENT ( AKA SMOKERS TENT) IS A SHAMBLES-- 

MAIL DROP OFF AND PICK UP "SHEDS" 

THE YELLOW TOOL SHED...

 THE GENERIC NOTICE BOARD SHOULD BE IN THE T TENT AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE AWARE OF WHAT IS ON IT... JUST AS EVERYONE SHOLD BE AWARE OF WHAT IS AAT THE BOTTOM OF THE DAIOLY DOGGEI.

YOUR JOBS WILL HAVE REPOSITIONED FOR THE MOMENT-- I HAVE STRUGGLED TO GIVE YOU  NEARLY  THE  FULL TIME HOURS YOU HAD BEFORE.

MEGAN WILL DEFINE EH DOGS  WITH THE ONE EXCEPTION , I  WILL NEED TO HAVE  DEVIN SPEND A FEW MINUTES   OFF SITE WITH HENRY,,, HE IS HAVING A WONDERFULL TIME.... AND I WOULD RATHER WE NOT BRING HIM BACK HERE FOR THE MOMENT...

SO WHAT WILL THE REST DO?   IF THERE  SEEMS TO BE NOTHING PRESSING TO DO...  THE UPKEEP BUNCH   SHANNA  AND HALEY ( SOMETIMES PAM....)CAN WORK DOWN THRU TH E 2 LISSTS I HAVE SO FAR PRODUCED...  VINES INTEH DRIVEW ... WASH TEH SIGN ON THE ROAD... MOST OF THIS STUFF WILL BE OUTSIDE.. SO YOU SHOUOLD COME PREPARED TO BE OUTSIDE. AND THE GLOVES YOU WILL NEED TO ROLL ROCKS AROUDN CAN BE FOUND INT HE BACK IOF THE PURPLE MAIL SHED.

TO GET IN OUT OF THE COLD... IT WOULD BE THE LAUNDRUY BUILDING... AT WHICH TIME YOU COULD ORGANIZE THAT... IN OTHER WORDS..
