DEAR CARLENE,

I RECENTLY WENT BACK TO NEW YORK CITY FOR A SERIES OF MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, THE FIRST SINCE SEAGRAM AND I WERE PAIRED TOGETHER. I HAD WAITED BECAUSE I WANTED TO GIVE US TIME TO ADJUST TO WORKING TOGETHER -- BUT THERE WAS NO REASON TO WORRY, SINCE SHE BEHAVED SO BEAUTIFULLY. I COULDN'T HAVE MADE IT THROUGH ALL THE DOCTOR VISITS, PROCEDURES, ETC, WITHOUT HER HELP!! PLUS, I RETURNED TO CENTRAL PARK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS. IT WAS DELIGHTFUL TO GO THERE AGAIN, AND TO SHARE THAT LOVELY PLACE WITH HER. LIFE IS STARTING TO FEEL MUCH MORE NORMAL WITH HER HELP.

my car---i have decided it is  way tooo tech savvy for me to do anything except sit in it ...

janine had to leave  for teh airport at 4am and since i am up before 4  i said i would drive her..

so----- i had time to sit and drink coffee in the driveway at 3:30 and decidedt to reead the manual "how to drive your new car"  it is no wonder i am terrified of it... 

first page-- there are over 40 tiny little circles with numbers in them to explain how this miracle of modern engineering is set to function..  bravely i started--- should be simple....the clock  has had the worng time for over a year.-  it isn't even close.....it  should be a simpletask to change it ( just before daylight saving nonsense when i have to  change it again) 

..i would have started except i noticed a tiny button in the vicinity of the clock which was labeled  something about " "prohbits engine from starting."   i knew  it... the thing is set up to have me fail and have to call toyota for a road call so they can push that button and charge me $200.

we are sooooo helpless when it comes to dealing with someone who has studied  what we innocently will do without thinking.... pushing a button in the vicinity of the clock should make the clock do something????  no  those clock 

 buttons are down by your right ankle...

which started the discussion with janine-- who is really quite enjoyable to talk to when trapped ina car and can not go anywhere...

she said--- don't know if it is true yet.. IBM   is buying   the weather channels--- because this  "ALL KNOWING WATSON IN THE CLOUD" IBM computer that has been gathering stats on all of us for years, has found that weather  is the #1 basis for making decisions.... janine has a way of knowing odd facts like that...

i know when i go out the checkout in the market and pay by credit card- all is well..... if i pay by cash, they ask for my zip code...now if there is someone somewhere that is keeping track of the fact that i bought a can of sardines  while it was raining out, i fear that the person does not have enough to do...

however.....then she got into  ,.... it is a fact that whoever becpmes president will have the  ability to turn off teh electricity of  entire sections of the country with the help of only one or two other people.    that was teh scarey part.

i have always known that a   blizzard in  january  will produce a bunch of children in october   it never occured to me that the science had progressed... or that anyone needed to have it progress.

so i went back to concentrating on those things over whic i had some control....  like slowing down to 80 mph--

nice car... 4am.. no traffic to suggest any particular speed...... pedal offererd no resistance as i pushed it down--- so until i looked down at all these lighted dials and such , i had no idea that spedometer  pointed that direction....  i slowed down to 80 and it felt like i was crawling home.

the donkey walk today  should go off normaly-- we have several people here who  know one from the other... like tanner... he is very experiwenced now.... having been kicked  3 times in the last waalk... experience comes from bad experiences...-- but these kicks were happy kicks.. not mean ones.

i don't think we have a mean donkey -- that doesn't make it hurt less.. it is much thee same as  a happy toy chewing bite of a great dane-  it can still make holes in peolpe- we never encourage  tugg of war withthe dogs for that reason.

and the week of prepared meals on schedule  is over... ingrid and her friends are leaving... the laundry is a beautiful shade of turquiose-- as is that  cute little jack russel "wanda" .. i will sorely miss teh "lunch will be served at 12:20"

the fact that they are leaving ..might.. make dieting easier...

back to chinese food and pizza.

we are over the hump--( the hump being half way on the sale of chicken bricks)and it is this way almost every month--yet we thankfully  sell out in the long run....   i do see many new names-- and toward teh end of the month the heavy hitters do seem to swing into action,     but rest assured every single $10 chicken brick is vital-- because there is no way i can make the monthly payroll without it.  so if you can,  figure every $10  as a "making the payroll"  without which there would be no service dog project.. and all these great dogs would have to be given away as perfect pets....   yuck !  

if you can't afford it, you can certainly introduce someone  else to the  miracle of modern technology of these cameras from explore.org.

i certainly understand not having $10..... i remember when my kids were little- and my income and theirs was totally from  the distribution of a magazine called the want advertiser--- which was a printed version of ebay...- we lived on teh income  mostly  IN COINS--  ... and  i had a $40 charge account at the local grocery store that i  had an awful time paying it off.... so i know.....  my morgage was $305 a month so that got paid first... and the hay bill second.

 whatever....we made it...  but i had no extra $10 then.

now i need a good $30,000 a month for the payroll-- and believe me... i don't have that either..  so i am totally dependent on the lot of you to keep  us going.

i am also dependent on you all for my external memory device.... i am never offended by people reminding me to do things.  the latest funny one was-- the post surgery  eye drops... 2 kinds.. 5 minutes apart   --- at mail call someone reminded me to put in the eye drops-- and 5 minutes later called back to say you forgot the second drop.... which was true...

maybe.... just maybe, next month.....,,, i should try to  offer a bonus brick deal--- where if you buy a brick before the  19th of the month ( cake day)  i will assign you a  number in the purple division... might make it easier on my nerves.....

there are alot of  readers of this  DD who have trouble figuring out the chicken bricks inthe forst place...  try explaining that !!!

  we had an overnight comment about taking a cardboard away from sizzle which bears discussion...

if you are sittingin my offive/living room?- balancing  your dinner on your knees-- which happens often-- and a dog comes along---- do not lift the plate away from th edog's nose--- just take 2 fingerws and snap them across teh nose and say  something approptaite  like "don't touch"  or "this is mine" there is no point in trying to lift your plate out of the reach of the dog... these guys can reach 7 feet in the air... it is far better that they learn to think twice  about stealing food off you r plate. point is... leave the object there and make the dog understand it  is yours.

now if they are chewing  what they consider a toy-- like a perfectly good shoe- the instinct to grab it awayis great, however -- to be polite in dog language you want  to " swap that for a cookie"    because  if you dotoomuch snatching, you will not be able to catch the dog  next time.... i have seen the scenerio too often " he has my best pocketbook and i can't catch him" . dogs come preprogrammed  in the "keep away" game -- so you don't want to even go there.

EYE LOOKING GOOD-- BLANKETS IN TH HOSPITAL ARE NOT TAN, BUT WHITE--  WOW COUPLE MORE WEEKS OF HEALING AND I CAN GO GET NEW GLASSES... I HAVE TO COMMENT.... THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BOUGHT GLASSES FROM WALMART INSTEAD OF THE  OPXXXXXXX WHATEVER  - AND I DON'T THINK THEY HAVE EVER BEEN RIGHT.   I WAS SORRY TO MIS INGRID'S BREAKFAST-- BUT HAPPILY I WAS BACK IN TIME FOR LUNCH.. THESE 4 WOMAN ARE A  CASE... THEY ARE FORTIFYING MY CONCEPT THAT THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE HAS BEEN TIMES WHEN  I HAVE BEEN WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO  WERE FOCUSED ON SOME  RELATIVELY MINDLESS CHORE AND TOOK THAT TIME TOGETHER TO  ENTERTAIN EACH OTHER WITH CREATIVE CONVERSATION   IT HAS TO BE A TIME WHEN  NO ONE ELSE IS TRYING TO ENTERTAIN YOU WITH MOVIES, OR ANY KIND OF SHOW.. NO RADIO BLARING.. TO DISTRACT YOU FROM PROVIDING YOUR OWN ENTERTAINMENT  OF MOSTLY PURE NONSENSE..... .. THE CONCEPT WAS PURE ENOUGH IN SCOTLAND WHEN THIS GROUP TO WHICH I BELONGED-- THE PHYS SOC ( PHYSICS SOCIETY) DECIDED TO HAVE A MEETING.  THE IMPORTANT PART WAS  IT WAS TO BE HELD AT 2:00AM  AT THE TOP OF SOME HILL IN EDINBURGH.  A GRASSY HILL- A WALK UPHILL TYPE CLIMB... NO ONE BROUGHT ANYTHING BUT THEMSELVES-- NO LIQUOR- NO ARTIFICAL  ENTERTAINMENT.. ABOUT 20 PEOPLE SHOWED UP....AND WE SAT ONTHAT HILL FOR A FEW HOURS -- TALKING ABOUT NOTHING SERIOUS.. THEN WE ALL WENT HOME. TO GO FROM THAT TO THE COLBY COLLEGE CONCEPT OF ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDED FROM A BEER KEG.  WAS A SHOCKER.. ANOTHER TIME I SPECIFICALLY REMEMBER WAS AT MY FATHER'S FUNERAL- WHEN WE HAD  50 PEOPLE COMING TO THE HOUSE.. AND TEH CATERER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT- SO WE ALL SWUNG INTO ACTION - BUYING AND PREPARING A MEAL FOR 50 PEOPLE. MOST NOTABLEY WAS NEICE  DEBBY  IN THE BATHTUB CUTTING LETTUCE INTO A BIG PLASTIC BAG, HELD UNDER THE SHOWER THEN ONTO THE CLOTHESLINE IN THE YARD WITH HOLES POKED IN THE BOTTOM  TO DRAIN...... IT IS TOO BAD MY FATHER MISSED IT... HE WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. **** SO BACK TO THESE 4 WOMEN-- THEY ARE COOKING/PROVIDING   MEALS-- AND NOT JUST PIZZA AND CHINESE FOOD EITHER...  I HAVE SERIOUSLY SUGGESTED THEY PUT IT TOGETHER IN  AN "INGRID'S COOKBOOK" -- I TELL YOU WE HAVE HAD SOME PRETTY STRANGE THINGS-- AND SOME OF THE SALADS THAT ARE ON MY PLATE  HAVE BEEN  MEMORABLE--- WHO REMEMBERS A SALAD????  WELL.. THESE YOU WOULD...  WHICH IS WHY I THINK THEY NEED A BOOK..  I WOULD CERTAINLY PUT IT IN THE DOGGIE BAG FOR  A FEW BUCKS... THEIR NEXT GOAL---THEY WILL CONVERT THE LAUNDRY ROOM FROM BILOUS GREEN TO   A  LIGHT TEAL... ***** PERSONALLY I COULD NEVER GO ON A VACATION AND SIT ON SOME BEACH WHILE SOMEONE FED ME MARGERITAS OFF A TRAY. WITH ALL THAT INACTIVITY,  I WOULD BE SLOSHED BY NOON....  THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH ASPRINS IN THE WORLD TO MAKE THAT A PLEASENT VACATION.  PLUS  AIR TRAVEL IS POSSIBLE BUT STILL IT IS HOURS OF NO FUN AT ALL---  FROM TRYING TO PARK YOUR CAR-- TO  CROWDED SECURITY-TO WAITING ROOMS- TO WONDERING WHY WILBER AND ORVILLE EVER GOT THIS IDEA INTHE FIRST PLACE....ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS PERFECTLY COMFORTABLE AT  HOME... COMFORTABLE YET CHALLANGED... ******* AIR TRAVEL-- GRACE IS UP AND AT IT  ARRIVING AT 5PM TODAY-- DONNA IS TO RETIREVE HER...  I DON'T KNOW  HER FLIGHT NUMBER .. Update Brian & Crimson Bio:

who was videotaped abusing his husky, Sarah. This was my response to Sandy's post:

"Sandy I talked to him a few times outside North Station. He told me he tried to get a Dane from SDP and that Carlene turned him down. He got his dog Sarah on his own and claimed he was training her to be a service dog on his own. I am disgusted but once again, Carlene White ROCKS!!"

WE HAD 2 TRYS AND THEN HAD TO GO WITH A FAKE TURKEY LEG.  SHE WAS A BITER-- AND THAT LEG WAS HER'S - I KNEW BETTER THAN TO TRY AND GET IT FROM HER..

And another positive about the things we learn from Crazy Acres...another dog's life was saved because of something I learned at the farm.

Everyone at work comes to me as a "dog expert" though I'm very clear with them that I am far from it. Anyway, a co-worker has a mastiff puppy that she was intending to show & breed.She called me over last week to ask my opinion. The puppy is 9 months old and had finished her first heat. About a week later she started dripping red again. I told her to watch her very carefully and any odd behavior-vomiting-diarrhea-seeming out of it-get her to the vet immediately because it could be pyometra. It was. They got her into surgery in time and she should make a full recovery.

 BELLA AND GEORGE. REPORT

Well they did it! And they lasted all day at school. Bella went to the nurse once and did get some tylenol but said she didn't need to lay down and rest. She started off in her wheelchair but Bella said she also crutches around and held onto George for the first time. She said he did really good and didn't even   pull her! They make a great team. Maybe she will drop one crutch soon. Then tonight she made it up the stairs on her own. No crutch she just went up on her bum and then got to the top turned around and crawled over to George. Of course I didn't have my phone to catch any of that. But she is doing amazing and I am so very proud of her progress!

THERE ARE CAMERA PEOPLE NEEDING TO GET TO THE AIRPORT VIA SHUTTLE.... AND 2 BUNCHES ARRIVING BY CAR???  ONE IS  OUT CP FROM FLORIDA WHO TELLS US THAT WE HAVE MORE DISNEY BLANKETS ARRIVING TODAY  - ? WINTER SLEEPING CUDDLES?? 

WE WRE RE-DOING OUR  WINTER CONCEPTS OF BEDDING...   IF WE CAN USE ONE OF THOSE IN  EACH KENNEL AND SOMEHOW PROVIDE A TOWEL FOR  TEH BLOTTING OF FEET AS THEY COME INSIDE, THOSE HEAVY SLEEPING CUDDLES MIGHT LAST  QUITE A FEW  NIGHTS??/  WITH  OUTDOOR AIRING????  

WE PRIDE OURSELVES IN THE FACT THAT THE PLACE DOES NOT SMELL DOGGIE... WELL AT LEAST IT DIDN'T WHEN WE COUDL WASH EVERYTHING... WITH TIS NEW CONCEPT, I THINK WE CAN PUT INTO SERVICE THE  WATERLESS SHAMPOO WHICH I USED SO OFTEN ON THE ANIMALS I USED IN TEH ADVERTISING PHOTO WORLD..  A QUICK WIPE OFF WITH A DAMP WASHCLOTH.. AND THEY SMELLED BETTER AND THE WHITE WAS WHITER...

AS  THE TRAINERS TAKE THE DOGS  INTO  CLOSED PLACES LIKE  ELEVATORS,  THEY HAVETO SMELL GOOD TOO.

 EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY IN DESIGN MODE... UNTIL THEY START TO DRAG STUFF AROUND AND OUTSIDE...

I DON'T THINK THE LOCAL SCHOOLS HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THAT NOW --   IT WAS ALSO AN AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITY..  TODAY I ONLY KNOW OF ATHLETIC SPORTS AFTER SCHOOL- ACCENT ON  COMPETITIVE AND VIOLENCE.  FOOTBALL-- BANG THEIR HEADS TOGETEHR ENOUGH AND THEY WON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING BY THE TIME THEY ARE 65,

I AM VERY QUICKLY BACK TO KENN ROBERTSON'S TED LECTURE  ON CREATIVITY.  WE ARE RAISING FACTORY ROBOTS AND DON'T HAVE ANY FACTORIES ANYMORE.  IT IS  THE MONEY I AM SURE.

NOW WHAT IS TH BARGAIN..?  THEY HAVE NO TOWN WATER-- EVERYONE MAINITAINS THEIR OWN WELL- THEY HAD NO TRASH PICK UP -- TWO HUGE THINGS IN MY WORLD..THINGS LIKE  VOLUNTEER  OR PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT..  AMBULANCE.. STUFF LIKE THAT.. BUT ALSO THE SCHOOL  I REFER TO WITH NO MUSIC PROGRAM IS THERE. .

.  I CERTAINLY KNOW ABOUT THEIR TREE TRIMMING-- AS THE ROUTE 97 WHICH WE TRAVEL DAILY IS IN BOXFORD  AND THE OVERHANGING DEAD TREES AND LIMBS ARE AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN... OH, THEY ARE QUICK TO COME CLEAN UP A TREE THAT FALLS ACROSS A ROAD,  BUT I THINK I WOULD PREFER TO PAY  A BIT MORE  IN TAXES AND HAVE SOMEONE FIGURE OUT AHEAD OF TIME THOSE DEAD TREES COULD EASILY KILL SOMEONE....

  BASIC PROBLEM IS REALLY THAT WE PAY TOO MUCH  FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO  SIT BEHIND A DESK AND  TALK ABOUT  THE CONCEPT OF DEAD TREES WHILE THERE IS NO MONEY LEFT  FOR  THE ACTUAL  CUTTING DOWN  OF THE TREES.  SMALL TOWN... TOWN HALLS   ARE INHABITED BY PEOPLE AND PAPERS AND FILE CABINETS...  IT IS WHERE THE BUILDING INSPECTORS RESIDE TOO...

you gotta pick your battles---is sooooo often told to me.. and the pipe in the woods is one of them..i realized i was being trained to  panic at the concept of  using  the words "culvert in the forest."   DON'T TELL ANYONE- DON'T MENTION INTHE DAILY DOGGIE...THE POWERFUL PEOPLE IN SOME OFFICE WILL FINE YOU  AND TAKE YOUR HOME AWAY... well...  i put the thing there-- and i wrote to the forest management department and told them what i had done, and asked them what they would like me to do next.... including take it out of there.... - and they told me to do nothing---   so i am not paniced.. at least yet... it is one of those situations where some well meaning person at the age of 8 missed teh lectue in class about water ... it will flow downhill and there is not a darn thing you can do about it.-- that ditch was made prehistorically by a glacier- and i am suer at some point will have some water in it--  that pipe will  just help it across teh path ----- at 15 " diameter- that would  let  alot of water pass by... and  if in some spring deluge the 15" is not enough, it wll just flow over the pipe...  water is like that - it's gonna do what water wants to do.. somebody said   "nae man can tether time nor tide"-- if that 15 " pipe is not enough i can guarentee you i will be looking at the 40 day weather forecast and starting to clear a 300 x 50 cubit space for construction. i am definitely a water worshiper-  at a young age i wondered if  there exists a place in the rocky mountains where you could pour a gallon of water over a peak and ½ woud land in the atlantic and ½ in the pacific. this concept was discussed at great legnth with a  college  friend of my daughters... Bob---bright guy---kenyon college...who's mind  is not impaired by conventional thinking.. he pointed out  that  the propbem witht he united states was that    a huge percent of the food in the USA  is grown in california, shipped east, chewed and swallowed and those nutrients landed in the atlantic ocean i bet none of you ever worried about that. You plug along and before you know it months have gone by. We will try to be better at this. We received our new harness yesterday, thank you so much to the angel that sent it! Lola and I did a test run with it this morning going to a doctor appointment and again this afternoon going to the vet and we  LOVED IT! It is very sturdy and the handle is nice to grip. I attached the extra bags and it held my keys, a bottle of water and my wallet. Great idea!    Lola has been doing wonderful. I recently started physical therapy and Lola is the star of the facility. Initially she had a hard time understanding that I didn’t need her to run and help me as I was lying on the floor stretching or walking along the balance bars. She kept trying to nudge my physical therapist out of the way to come help me walk or get up off the floor. She has finally settled in nicely and is loving the attention she gets while I work out. Everyone remembers me as “Lola’s person”. I am just fine with that!   We continue to learn and grow and encourage each other to do new and exciting things. We miss you all very much, the farm was a sanctuary for all three of us. ----Michelle, Melanie and Miss Lola ******** LET US PRAY...

i do have a PHD  in murphy's law -- yeterday i ran into 2 new "ones"   in the innocent mistake department.

twan did out th epedigrees of liani and kiara with all the  m/f notes..she had teh mother on the top line ( akc usually puts the male on the top line..)-- and there you have the error..  the top m was the mother not male  and the f was not female but father....

then there was a note on my desk  "alex- dryer" -- i knew alex was the person due to be inthe guest huse---- i assumed he found something wrong   with the dryer,   so i asked bud to have a look at it.  turns out "dryer " is the dog alex  is with.. in the guest house...( i am told they are doing well...)

i visited wilbur yesterday at his new home... where he lives with  a chinchilla ,2 turtles, and a wanda type dog....he is having a grand time....judy explained that  one of the turtles is starting to hibernate under teh dining room table as she did last year..  extremely different..

it was really a goldie trip...  the cement block building guys had just todl me they would need more "normal" blocks for teh corners,,, and judy had a bunch in her  garage she needed to get rid of... looks like a perfect number......

those 2 turtles are very strange house pets  to have-- the "big guy"  she got 17 years ago when he was the size of a 50 cent piece...  he now is a beautiful 40 pound.. slow moving pet-- probably alot easier to care for than alot of other  more typical house pets... her husband is a  pilot... and i can see a photo in the future about getting on an airline with that beautiful turtle...  we ought to be able to do something with that combination of things....maybe in teh loading/waiting room  area  with a  tiny donkey too

along with  an article about people abusing this service animal  concept...

kiiiittttttiiiiiieeeeeee.....   can you find a place that looks like an aiporrt... -- somebody do somethign -- that would be a very good article to write...

SO I ALSO SHARED IT AND PUSHED  THE FACEBOOK FUNNY "F" LOOKING THNG.I UNDERSTAND ZERO FACEBOOK   "DOINGS"   --- SO IF  SOME OF YOU HAVE A PICTURE OF A PIECE OF CROCHET BEDSPREAD- I'M WHERE IT CAME FROM.....  LORDY... DID THE CHEVY DEALER'S COMPUTER  BLUETOOTH A MESSAGE TO HER CAR AND SAY STOP RUNNING RIGHT NOW.?

SOMEWHERE I SAW TH CEO  OF IBM EXPLAIN HOW THE NEW SYSTEM-- CALLED WALTER...OR  MATHEW OR SOME SUCH...WHICH WOULD TAKE ALL POSSIBLE INFORMATION OFF THIS CLOUD BIT AND MAKE THE DECISION ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT YOU GET A PILL TO CURE  YOUR  UPSET TUMMY.  COUPLE THAT WITH THIS RFID CHIP FOR PEOPLE ( WE ALREADY DO DOGS CHIPS THAT WE CAN READ---) I BELIEVE THE RFID'S YOU CAN WRITE INFORMATION  TO... TEH SIZE OF A PIECE OF RICE....

SORT OF AN EXTERNAL MEMORY DEVICE...

I PLAN TO HAVE  6 OF THEM INSTALLED IN MY POSTERIOR SO I CAN FIND MY CELL OHONE WHEN NEEDED.

I wanted you to see the how far we had to walk in the one photo. Cars are parked by the buildings in the background. Dolly was amazing! I certainly would not have been able to get there without her! She also did great with her down stay on the metal bleachers with kids running, which is very loud! I am so proud of her! There were also several other dogs there and she did so good waking past them and having did walk past her, they were not behaving like she was! People were commenting on how well trained she is. You would have been proud of her! O certainly was.

STEVEN AND I  ( MEATCUTTER STEVEN) HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A WEIGHT LOSS CONTEST.. AND . INSTEAD OF POSINT WEIGHTS....TO START IT WE DECIDED WE WOULD BOTH BE AT GROUND ZERO AND  THE WEIGH-INS WOULD EITHER BE PLUS OR MINUS FROM THERE...

THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT CONCEPT....  WHEN I BOUGHT THIS PLACE IN 1979-- IT WAS PURE FOREST... A FEW STONE WALLS AROUND TEH PROPERTY LINES. BUT .. FOREST.  SO  I PLANTED MYSELF HERE AFTER BULLDOZING, AND CUTTING TREES AND THINGS LIKE THAT...  

THAT ESTABLISHED WHAT IN MY MIND WAS  "TEH NORMAL"  .-- ....SO TO HAVE A DEVELOPER  CLEAR CUT ALL THE TREES FOR A DEVELOPEMENT WAS ANNOYING TO ME, AS THE TOBINS AND I STOOD AND LISTENED TO THOSE MASSIVE TREES FALL WITH A THUMP.    BUT IT  WAS NOT MY PROPERTY AND IT WAS   ACTUALLY THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A  NORMAL FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT HOUSES THERE... PROBLEM COMES WHEN ANY CHANGE- HOWEVER MINOR- GETS NOTED ON THIS  GRAPH OF PLUS OR

 MINUS.   SO WHEN I CUT  EVEN THE BRUSH AND STARTED TO USE MY OTHER DRIVEWAY,  IT BECAME A HUGE PROBLEM FOR THE DEVELOPEMENT-- AND I WAS FORGETTING HOW THE TOBINS  ...MUST HAVE FELT WHEN I MOVED IN IN THE FIRST PLACE.  

NOBODY IS REALLY THE ORIGIONAL OWNER OF ANYTHING..

SPEAKING OF BRIDGE REPAIR  TIME MAGAZINE CAME UP WITHT HE PROJECTS  WE ( AMERICANS) ARE FACING... AND ONE WAS  INFRASTRUCTURE--SAYING THAT 20.9% OF ALL BRIDGES IN MASS AND RHODE ISLAND ARE  IN  SORRY NEED OF REPAIR..  THEY DID JUST FIX THE  RT 95 BRIDGE OVER THE MERRIMAC RIVER ( A PRETTY GOOD SIZE RIVER)---- MAYBE 10 YEARS AGO A BIG CHUNK FELL INTO THE RIVER- AND "THE OFFICIALS" SAID WE COULD CONTINUE TO USE TH BRIDGE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A NECESSARY CHUNK......

HOW IS THAT  FOR REASSURING??

SEEMS LIKE HAVING ALL UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE  GET JOBS DOING SOMETHING W/R/T FIXING NFRASTRUCTURE STUFF...BY THE TIME WE REPLACED ALL TEH  "YOUR CALL IS IMPORTANT TO US" MACHINES  WE COULD CURE TEH ENTIRE UNEMPOYMENT SITUATION...

AND IF I GOT TO PICK.... I WOULD PUT AT THETOP OF SOME LIST, THE FACT THT THERE ARE NO TRAIN TRACKS THAT GO THRU BOSTON..  EVERYBODY HERE IS TOTALLY USED TO THE FACT THAT IF YOU WANT TO GO FROM NEW YORK TO PORTLAND MAINE,  YOU RIDE NEW YORK TO SOUTH STATION- THEN GET OUT AND WALK ABOUT 2  MILES TO NORTH STATION, AND GET ON A TRAIN FOR MAINE.

WHEN I WENT TO SCHOOL IN MAINE, I USED TO BREAK THE TRIP AND  STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE MADDISON HOTEL AT NORTH STATION--  SO I COULD GET A TRAIN TO MAINE.

THAT IS BEFORE I STARTED FLYING TO MAINE-- IN 4 INCH HEELS- CLIMBING UP THE ANGLED  AISLE OF A PLANE THAT HAD ONE SEAT ON EITHER SIDE... DRAGGING MY MATCHED LUGGAGE MYSELF.

"WE GET TOO SOON OLD AND TOO LATE SMART."  (? AMISH?)

NEXT TREMENDOUSLY UPSETTING IDEA.. WHEN I WAS DEALING WITHTEH BUILDING INSPECTOR AND ARCHETEC I BLITHELY SAID 8 FOOT WALLS. AS 8 FOOT IS A FAIRLY NORMAL NUMBER.  I SAID THAT KNOWING I WOULD BE STANDING HERE WHEN THEY DID IT AND I THOUGHT I COULD MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AS I SAW FIT....  WELL 7  OR 7.5 FOOT CEILINGS WOULD BE FINE... AND USE LESS HEAT.  SO IF I TELL THE CEMENT GUYS TO QUIT AFTER THE  NEXT FEW ROWS, IS THT GOING TO CAUSE  AN ACT OF GOD TO GET THE BUILDING INSPECTOR INVOLVED... OR DO I HAVE A RIGHT TO STAND HERE AND SAY "THAT IS TALL ENOUGH"  

HERE WE GO AGAIN....

TODAY MY BE TEH DAY THEY AR E AT THAT HEIGHT.

ACTUALLY,  THE CEILINGS IN THE HOUSE ARE 7.5 FEET  SO I COULD CHANGE LIGHTBULBS WITHOUT NEEDING A STEP LADDER...  SO I CAN'T DO THAT IN MY DOG HOUSE???

Bellas afternoon was better than her morning. Finally around 1 we got her pain under control. Dr Karlin had to stop by and open her cast up to give her some room because Bella kept saying it felt like her heart was in her foot. So the swelling was a bit to much so thankfully opening the cast an inch helped the situation.

I am a long time ghost CP and heard that Lanie came into heat. I know that people keep asking who you are going to breed with her. I know you want to breed her to Bentley but when someone mentioned Jasper I looked him up and a few of his kids just graduated (which is very exciting, and you must be very proud). These are the possibilities that I found for both studs. I don't know if this helps you but I figured I would send it to you. I hope that they will come in handy. 

 

The work that you do to give away service dogs to people is absolutely incredible. We are all so grateful for the work that you do.

GE... (general electric)  did get some of the trail opened yesterday--  hopefully a bigger group will arrive today  and make it all the way around  the 45 minute loop  cutting back brush   clearing some footing, and burrying the conduit over that  ditch...

then janine can try that trail   tomorrow at 10:30 's "donkey walk"  --- i did a bunch of short heavy lead ropes for safety puropses... the people doing this are all beginenrs and are inclined to wrap ropes around their hands... so i made ropes only 4 feet long out of 1 inch rope--  that will make for alot of loose donkeys as people let go-- but that is alot safer --   being a herd animal, i would not expect them to go away from the group....  HA !

Hard  to believe the books are still selling-- but they are...  

as are  tina's project of harness management...  we have almost sold enough to  order that second variety os an adaption of the planet dog ones... that planet dog did not want to  make changes i though would help as servbice harnesses.

why are we buying in china?   it is easier than  buying here... 

china  has an entire mr moon department-- i don't think the usa has any such organization to make the manufactue easier...  i bet i could request a special toothpick and within a week he would provide 4 manufacturers who could do that. and would have 4 samples in the mail/. 

it happened before  if you look way back in the daily doggies....  to when i was needing 27 cm and 30 cm rubber balls for  my monkey fist mfg depattment here.... it was like someone in china was assigned to my account to be sure i got what i needed... then followed thru for a few weeks-- not enough  to be annoying.. but just to be sure all went well with my china purchse.  and was there anything else??  

china has devised  sort of teh amazon of manufacturing-- they have it down pat... we don't. 

i would not know where to start to buy the harness here.

. i just did google dog harness mfg  and got a contact Global mfg source  ---clicked on that--- and ran into  the name 

YANGZHOU --- small chance that is a n imagrant in san francisco  , but i bet it is this chinese source of  whatever you want....  and when i called one of them, there was no  "your call is improtant to us" routine.  there was a person.. very pleasent an very helpful

they are also capable of demading you do nothing else but cater to them at inopportune times.

you are rendered helpless as you sit listening to how important your call is to some machine.
