 july 15 2022

i forgot to post yesterday... sorry......

beware the ides of july? it was not just march you know.....  but also. may, july and october...-  it had something to do with the 15th if the month  -- the other months it was the 13th??????( i think...) so much for my 2 years of latin-   i can not think of a bigger waste of time than 45 minutes every school day to sit in  latin class-- the purpose of which was to help me with spelling and grammer--- and we all know about that.... furthermore i am sure my latin teacher either  drank-- or had narcolepsy-- as he would nod off- and was very bleary eyed when awake.
as for a second language i heavily vote for sign language--- i wasted 4 years of spanish and came away with one joke  about socks and esso ci que  es.

and.... somebody fiddled while rome burned?   why do i think that might be more applicable currently?
****
moving on. to immediate problems... gretchen had eye surgery for cherry eye--- and has  one of those cones on.  her head-- in spite of that -- or because of that   she began to bleed last night- pretty significantly-- but it was not spurting ( my criteria for vet involvement-- also it was 11pm)i has stopped in time for her to need to go potty at 6am-- so she did---  enter brave judy-- who is dealing

last night's bloody episode was a toenail-- caught somewhere-- torn  but not torn off.....and bleeding - the only vet appointment lynn could get was SRH an  old vet office- mainly horse. from my era-- way the other side of ipswich. where lynn and dr -- i think-- helen. removed teh toenail in the back of lyns car-- they are cov cognizant.  it worked,,,

there were 3 vets in my early days--- connie thibeault, dr rivers and dr orcut- i knew them all and they formed maqny of my oddball attitudes to vet med. connie dr.  thibeault-- did not actually retire but gave up  an official practice where he once spayed a dog for me on the garden bench in his yard-- after i had retrieved a supply of stainless implements out of his office sink--- washing them carefully off-- then holding and removing a cone of either on command.... the dog did fine. i paid him with. a gallon of pennies i had in the car from sellling magazines.
dr bob orcutt - son of dr orcutt once helped me stuff a uterous back in a mini donkey and hold up the rear end....... and it was SRH that had an xray machine big enough to. do the penn hipp  exam but the table had yellow labs in mind... and i had to hold up the front end of "deagle"  while teh tech told me  that since she coudl get his legs in the right position for the xray. that it would be fine....bad hips did not move straight backwards...
and then there was
dr  rivers-- he sold his practice-- and sold the phone number with it. 978 774 0045----- i still know it... because dr myers was the one to. buy his place whch became danvers animal hospital.

now with so many new pet owners- because of cov---acting like new parents and running to the vet for every sneeze and scratch.... we are slightly lost for normal care.... but helen and lynn got the toenail  numbed and pulled off... and lynn. was impressed-- so i am sure we will be back.
