how foolish of me to think That the clutter pertains only to physical things on my physical desk ----well the same concept is extremely valid mentally. unless you stay. on guard----- AND I DO TRY------ all sorts of clutter can be inclined to fill any available mental space too, I have been vaccinated against tv’s mental clutter by simply not knowing 99% of the paraphernalia big advertised on television.. I mean I don't even know what some of this stuff does with two possible exceptions... every day as night becomes day there's about 1/2 hour advertisement for some sort of exercise machine so I watch it,, I haven't lost any weight watching it but I watch it.. I am second only to the woman who has decided to call her bathroom Jim... because then she says she has to go to the gym it sounds wonderful and people are very impressed.
the other "infomercial" that was interesting is some double sided duct tape we can smack things up against the wall and then they stay there until you twist them off... I don't even have much wall space left in this house but the concept of sticking things to the wall it's a good one for me'cause one of my major problems if I put things all away I can't find them.. I don't think it has anything to do with age I've had this problem for life.. I can design all sorts of fancy systems and then forget why I've done what I've done ----making it very hard to follow directions..
I don't know why people have to write extensive descriptions around here... because by the time you get anything written and printed it's outdated and we're off to something else I find it even listening to some of this stuff very annoying but somebody in their great wisdom has decided documentation is the way to go... good example 1700 pound Moe takes off down the driveway every once in a while ----she seems to like to get on the street... on a very winding boxford Rd this is not a good thing so it is considered an emergency-----go catch her and bring her back ----which most of us do ----however there is a contingent of people wanting to document what happened why did it happen and how you can prevent it happening again but by the time you've written all that down .. you find that everything you've written doesn't pertain to goats.. who are now headed out the gate.
and then you have bud sitting quietly in the background saying why don't you just fix the gate?
it is an electric gate wonderful gate... mighty mule I think it's called... and it certainly has been tried and true even though I hear it's now been replaced by something else on the market.. most of us have remote controls for that gate.. but Even so lately it's hardly ever shut.
it has been suggested that when I find it hurts my head to bang it on the wall that I just stop banging my head against the wall. I'm working on it.
As you can tell from this daily doggy I have in the last 10 years found it's a lot simpler right about this stuff than it is to actually go out and move heavy objects around---
Verbiage for verbiage sake. A national disaster...... AAAAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH
