short doggie...  i am having to deal with  a deceased  500 pound donkey, a hurt siz.zle.. who i think ran into jiminey... angry neighbors... and a lawyer coming here at 9:00-----and for some reason they have changed the format on CC.   which sends out the emails.

the concept of. " speak louder... we can not hear you iin the back of the room."   ... holds very true..
i spent alot of time yesterday proving that the formula of sound and decibels works 100%. ..  every time you double the distance you lower the decibels by 6 decibels  and teh very loudest bark i could get out of one of our dogs was 90.d's.   at 1 foot. like mr newton and his apple falling out of trees...  the numbers are very accurate.. and verified by a osha approved meter.  with nothing happening  the noise level is 48'd. .. turn on my car and just sit there...56d's.

Hey Ladies!

Just wanted to write a quick update on Norah:

We have been very busy! In the past six weeks, my partner, Norah, and I moved into a house-- to rent-- from our apartment. We did this not only to have a little more space, but also to have different "home office" spaces to use, as it appears that my partner and I will be working from home for some time yet! But, an added bonus of our new house is a fenced in backyard for Norah! She loves going out to spend time in the sun scrounging around on the ground and carving out places to go to the bathroom. She is right at home in her new home!

Also fun, last weekend, Norah and I went to a "Danes of the DMV" event, where Dane enthusiasts and owners from the area (MD, DC, VA) got together at a local dog park to spend some time outside while dogs run! Who knew that there are so many Dane people in the area? More to the point, though, who knew that other dogs could make my 120-pound dog seem small! I remember that when I got Norah, SDP told me she was the smallest-- or among the smallest-- in her litter, but I had been harboring my doubts for a couple of years! Fascinating stuff.

Anyway, we continue to do well working from home! Another good part about fun in the sun is that we get to go outside on walks more often than during the dead of the Winter (and ice) season. Hooray!
