 SPARKS------continuing on with teh shocking ladies underwear topic.....

 i forgot part of yesterdays discussion of fabric softner...... in the 1990's.   a rumor got going around.. that fabreeze killed dogs.. i had a friend int eh akc  who swore it killed her stud dog... "EARL". who is at the bottom of our "tree"  actually.  i found EARL when i was looking for a stud  and. EARL was lovely.( and $1000 -- in ?milton  new york. and i spent many nights over the years sleeping on the sofa in her living room)

purpose of this story is............ so all the tv ads about fabreeze used to have a dog in them... and may still.

and then  ...

I WORKED IN THE OR IN THE 60’S. BACK THEN WE NURSES HAD TO WEAR COTTON UNDERWEAR AND SPECIAL SHOES THAT GROUNDED US TO THE SPECIAL FLOORS THAT WERE ONLY IN ORS. THERE WAS A SPECIAL ANESTHESIA AGENT THAT WAS USED BACK THEN THAT WAS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE, CYCLOPROPANE. THEY SOON DISCOVERED THAT THEY DIDN’T NEED TO USE IT AND EVERY ONE THAT WORKED IN THE OR BREATHED A SIGH OF RELIEF. THAT WAS BACK BEFORE ELECTRIC CAUTERY, WHEN EVERY BLEEDER WAS TIED OFF!

more spark stories ---also a plastic surgeon set fire to  teh bandages on  janine's finger when she was a kid.... and the fumes blew big time as he fluttered around putting out his white coat  while i  dealt with  janine... he was so flustered that when all was out and he went back to removing stitches, he pulled a knot thru the wound.. at which point i called him a name... and it was not "doctor."

I DID ENJOY THE MYTHBUSTERS... AND WISH THEY WOULD  NOW REPLAY THE STUDY THEY DID ON SNEEZING-- AND HOW FAR THEY COULD PROPEL DROPLETS OF THE SNEEZE.. THEY ALSO DID A GREAT ONE ON  WHERE GERMS WENT AT A DINNER PARTY .. WITH THAT BLUE LIGHTING.  THEY PASSED MORE THAN TEH SALT AND PEPPER.

I MISS THEM--- THEY DID ANOTEH CLASSIC OF TEH COLLECTION OF METHANE GAS IN A  BATHTUB WITH WATER COVERED WITH SARAN WRAP AFTER A  SATURDAY NIGHT BEAN DINNER.

SOMEWHERE IN THE DISCUSSION OF MIGRANTS I DID HEAR " WE NEED AGRICULTURAL WORKERS..."   I HAVE 2 FACTS IN MY MEMORY BANK...

1950'.....NEWBURGH HAD A MIGRANT PROBLEM BECAUSE  MANY NEW  PEOPLE LANDED IIN THE AREA  AND EASILY FOUND JOBS PICKING ALL THE THINGS TEH HUDSON VALLEY IS FAMOUS FOR ... APPLES GRAPES ETC...  SO THEY WROTE TO ALL THIER RELATIVES WHEREVER THEY WERE... AND TOLD THEM  TO COME ON UP/  OVER....  THE JOBS WERE PLENTIFUL.. AT WHICH POINT PICKING SEASON WAS OVER AND. THERE WERE NO JOBS..

 FAST FORWARD  TO  3 MILES DOWN THE ROAD...

MARINI FARM  APPARENTLY   ... HAS A STANDARD ARRAINGEMENT TO BRING IN A PLANELOAD OF WORKERS WHO SPEND SPRING SUMMER -- WONERFUL CORN.   THEY STAY IN A DORM SORT OF PLACE ON THE FARM. AND GO HOME IN THE FALL.  MARINI CAN NOT FIND LOCALS TO DO IT.

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SDP VOLUINTEEERS--- ONE OF THE FIELDS MARINI FARMS BELONGS TO ANN... AND THEY PICKED A "FIELD" BUT ANN  NOTICED THEY LEFT CORN  THAT HAD EVEN THE SLIGHTEST IMPERFECTION... SO SHE CALLED AND SAID THEY WERE GOING TO PLOW THE FIELD UNDE THE NEXT DAY... SO.. OF COURSE ... WE WENT. AND FILLED MY SEQUOIA TO THE CIELING WITH WONDER FUL CORN.... I BET THERE IS STILL SOME IN THE WLAK IN FREEZER...

i never knwe we had so many math types in the group..... i do know ...... but confuse easily...

  between not knowing  monday was not sunday so pretyping any part of the dd would certainly  get mixed up..... would you bekieve 3.15 is close enough for government work???
