Yesterday’ s senior visitation.......Most people ever in one room?? 61----- for the mini horse and donkey. Plus sizzle who worked the crowd a bit before she got bored—
Thankfully we were inside and airconditione d.. it was a bit of a kick to see the mini and donkey waling the halls with people in wheelchairs . you would think I could remember their names..... wrong...
jem of the day was the donkey. Just stood still and let people pat her all over... the little mini horse could not resist the temptation to nibble on clothing etc.
It certainly gave us a long list of what we need to do to do those regularly.
We have another “job” today at 10 am which will not give us time to get the trailer straightened out... otherwise we could take the donkey again... I can see this donkey project could be governed by where we can park the trailer... today – at trask there would be room.... darn.... and it is cooler...
#1 we had to use carley’s truck and trailer.. because our ”ball” was the 2 5/8 for the dump/hay trailers while at the same time have a piece of the rear carry all bolted where I least expected it..so today—to better prepare... locate the correct wrench to unwrench and change ball..even if it is the 3 ball hitch. It got complicated by the stableizer for the carry all.... so. “ before “ ---we need to get rid of the “for now”s-----
Do a better job on attaching a license plate.. drag the trailer to the barn—sweep and inspect the floor (not used in years) cover lightly with hay.. see if the mini horse and some donkeys will step in--- and out---- ( it has no ramp)
And then the horse,,,,,,needs to be dressed up like a show horse not one withtangled mane and tail—all of which is a dirty brown to begin with.... and now that I look... I am not sure she doesn’t need some hand feeding... she certainly was snot fat.. I had a chance to look her over... and thought she could look better.
The donkey looked better—being spotted with white did help... her only fault was one back hoof was longer than the rest. – looks like someone forgot that one... the other3 were fine !
Whatever animal you own it pays to have a gook look at close range once in a while...
Donna and randy brought us a collection of food----- most noteabley dark meat legs and thighs – in gravey and goo which I now have eaten for 4 meals straight----with lemon square deserts.. what more could I ask for.... ???
Other than that..... we are on it...
