sorry , this is not really faSCINATING READING BUT IT IS MY LIFE IN. THE PAST 48 HOURS... AND IT DOES HAVE A FEW LESSONS... MAYBE....
I could not make up this stuff. In riding around on my golf cart I noticed the door to the laundry building was propped open ----as this often locked with that thumb lock thing.. I asked and was told by a service dog project volunteer that the toilet had overflowed. People were running around with mops and buckets and towels.. I was told Lynn was informed and that a plumber was on the way. so although an overflowing toilet is very high on a list of unpleasant things that can happen, it is not all that unusual and it seemed to me the proper things were being done... I saw Carly and Mike, who live upstairs--- and told them not to use any water till the problem got solved.
I quickly ran around to where I knew the septic tank was located which is behind door 25... and it was bone dry.. So my immediate assumption was that it was probably the pipe before the septic tank that was causing the backup that was causing the leak in the bathroom.. and on further investigation the leak was showing at the bottom of the toilet not over the rim.
I was also told that mark had tried the typical snake and it only gotten it down about four feet and could not go any further which could define what the problem was by saying it's got a blockage somewhere---- so everything at that point seemed pretty normal to me.. and since I did see a plumber's truck come and go I assumed the situation was under control and nobody has said a word to me about it. That was 4 days ago...
the reason they haven't said a word to me is I've been saying for the last year that the stresses put on that building's plumbing system we're way beyond what the building was designed to accommodate.. and I have loudly said for the last year that the plumbing system at the house was said to accommodate a small motel, but that the plumbing system connected to the laundry building was designed for four or five people in that small apartment.
To try and alleviate the situation, months ago....... I went so far as to rent a handicap accessible porta potty which as far as I could see SDP people preferred not to use. So I sat around figuring it was only a matter of time before something gave way. I'm not sure that this is a septic problem because it is most likely a problem of city girls not being told that if you don't chew it and swallow it or take the toilet paper roll then you must not put it in the toilet. because there are many sanitary products that say they can be flushed----- well they can be flushed in a city but they cannot be flushed in a septic system----- so that--- just by the numbers... is probably the cause. I don't know. no one has said a thing to me or ask me what I know about that septic system but I did see the plumber’S truck come and go so I assumed it was being dealt with and I was awaiting being told what the plumber found....
UNTIL.....
William H. Hulsey( the SDP lawyer)
Before you convince your audience that it is carley’s apartment causing the problem......
please- Mr Hulsey. – will you explain--- scientifically---- to this landlord just what is the “problem” on the second floor that will make the water appear under the toilet on the first floor.
As for my telling them to use other facility in the short term...??. although it still may be a simple tampon problem I have told you and will repeat--- that building was not made to accommodate what SDP is doing.
In addition to the toilet problem, honeymoon hill area was designed to accommodate a female In heat--- which would be 3 weeks every 6 months or so... not the permanent kennel for 3 or 4 dogs to live .
So when the fire department came last night to investigate the odd burning smell coming from lynns office --- the unsanitary condition of those kennels and adjacient run with “THE PUDDLE” was noted – “it stinks terribly” is the only report I was given 4 days into the “overflow” . personally I would have put the overflow on a 24 hour deadline.
