new foal some where opn the east coast....with janine' s network of "equine rescue network" people...
just to keep  sdp in the. educational mode.... i learned a new one.....
apparently--- and educational or not.... i may not have all the details correct.....
but someone has discovered there is a relationship between the eyes of an unborn foal  and the due date...
---5.17.22

I only hear that by Internet rumor and have not begun to Google any details but if it's true with a foal   I'm sure that somewhere across the United states somebody discovered this with humans because there are just a few more humans from which to derive a sample then there are baby horses I cannot imagine the situation where there is a doctor Paul somewhere with his arm up the backside of a mare deciding that those eyeballs we're different than the last couple eyeballs he felt and could make the distinction and remember that when the mayor had the baby two days later I mean there's there's some pieces here that just aren't going together but I did hear that and by God there's the foal  on the ground and apparently they're all doing well .  now the problem is they don't want to ship it for a couple of weeks now from long ago when I was dealing with shipping and resources someone told me it was better to let the mare  foal  and shipped the mother and baby. .. But I'm certainly not up to speed on that topic.. I wasn't up to speed on that topic at that point either I was just trying to ship Mary the mammoth donkey that I bought in Kansas..m and I wanted to be sure I had a good reliable shipping company and that's what I found they're basically like scheduled bus runs back and forth across route 80 from the West Coast east and they are great big I think they hold nine horses and in my case eight horses and one donkey and the driver had a few peculiar things to say about that. I got used to it --  Mary was far more interesting than any horse I ever owned.

One more comment on the donkey mode.. is the last photo I saw of pockets her belly was hanging a little bit low and I wondered what on earth could be in there if that's all hay grain  we'd better put her on a diet it didn't really look like it was. Or maybe check for worms---- something's weird...

Janine runs with a different crowd--- equally strange as our dog bunch... but she has someone who is remodeling a kitchen and has a huge collection of nice  kitchen cabinets which will. Be arriving here on Thursday..with absolutely no plan on paper as to what or where or how....  but we are on it/(

--- similar to the pallet of cobblestones I have arriveing today to get this puppy sandpit finally off the ground...( or  on it?)

___-

Which brings to mind an old joke.....

City person to farmer “ I see you aren’t using those back few acres and I would like to offer you $10,000 for them”

Farmer to city person  “ you come round with a wheelboarrow and I will give y ou. $10,000 worth of my land.”

As I peal back the topsoil from what will eventually be the new sandy puppy area- I am stuck with  a good size  pile of darn good topsoil  almost blocking the driveway....

I have dealt with jeff masterson long enough to realize the value of that pile...... so I plan to give him a call and see if he will “replace “ it with  bine clean  sand.  He has all kinds of equipment including a thing where you dump stuff into this sifter and it takes out almost everything except the topsoil...... which he would sell to some developer play at posies around 65 houses all located on 2 1/2 acres.   but as valuable as that topsoil is it has a negative value in the middle of our driveway...  so either mark can move it to some place we plant grass on it or I can make some kind of deal with Jeff to bring us sand even if he just bought us and from Bentley Warren which is around the corner Jeff Scott great big trucks they could run back and forth without any problem and I know that Bentley Warren usually has a $50 delivery fee to Ipswich.  with with the Raisin the cost of diesel fuel.. it's probably $450 to deliver it now I don't know ...  I hope I can take advantage of the inequality of the value of that pile of dirt .

Having spent more than a few hours with graph paper drawing out little lines what could be cobblestones I'm anxious to get a few actual rocks to stick in there and see if we can figure out how to make a short wall to contain about 8 inches of sand so my guess is that's at least two cobblestones deep..

I will not at this moment get into the intricacies of grass and lawn and poop pickers and the retrieval of less than solid things that puppies produce /. I'm looking forward having the surface be sand...
