FRANKLY , I AM OPPOSED TO ANYONE GOING TO  SCHOOL THIS FALL  MOST ESPECIALLY LAURA WHO FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON THINKS NURSING WOULD BE A BETTER LIFE CHOICE THAN  DOG TRAINING...  HER SCHOOL IS "OPENING" -- WHATEVER THAT MEANS---  THAT DOES MEAN TO US THAT HER LAST SCHEDULED DAY WILL BE 8/8  AND AFTER THAT SHE WILL   BE AROUND ON AN "AS AVAILABLE " BASIS..   SHE HAS BEEN AROUND HERE FOR 10 YEARS.. AND KNOWS  LOTS OIF   "THINGS" .. AND MORE IMPORTANT, SHE NOTICES THINGS LIKE " WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR PHONE  IT IS ON THE  TABLE IN THE T TENT"   --
AS A NATION , I AM SURE WE WILL TRY AND KEEP TEH NURSING SCHOOLS OPEN AND FUNCTIONING..    DAMMIT.
---
NOTICING IS SO CRITICAL IN ANIMAL MANAGEMENT-- AND Farm life in general--  i found a nut  in the driveway ( the metal kind... not a person) and i still have it as i wonder what is about to fall apart for lack of....
----
new aniamls arrived   maryanne driving janine's truck  delivered a cute 32" tall buckskin mini horse   (fyi..buckskin is a brown/tan horse with black legs etc, but noteably a black line down the spine like teh donkeys...)  -- a mare ?pony? with a very young foal nursing -- and a donkey.... a pathetic looking  scraggly messy looking donk....however... he /?she?  looks like a poitou donkey--  a french breed-- with dredlocks.. it is also a very large breed.. like "pockets "or larger...  if thaat is true it is a very young one because those are big.. and are used to breeed to draft horses to produce the draft mules in france.
you never know t the auction what you are gettijng....... like the 5 white goats that  had someting beside an udder between ther hind legs   i wonder about that cute little buckskin.. he is too low to the ground for me to get out and get under to see just what is there.  hopeflly we find out before we have a bunch of mini mules running around....

a "happening"    re:GUINNEA HENS...
i like guinnea hens... they are comical.. very impressed with themselves
plus they eat ticks.
the fact that i am nearly deaf may be the reason i like them..

WE HAD 8 two  YEARS AGO... THIS SPRING WE HAD 4... THEY DO AGE YOU KNOW-- AND HAWKS SOMETIMES STOP THE AGING PROCESS... HOWEVER... THEN WE HAD 3 .. ALL OVER WE HAD 3.... TIL PAM TOLD ME SHE HAD  seen 4 all at one time.. 4    -- DOESN'T SOIUND LIKE MUCH DOES IT?/ EXCEPT THAT MEANS THT THE 4TH IS SITTING ON EGGS--- LOTS EGGS... LAST TIME ABOUT 20 EGGS... DOESN'T SOUND LIKE AANYTHING REMARKABLE.... HOWEVER   --- TODAY   AUG 5TH IS THEDAY WE ARE SUPPOSED TO GET 15 GUNIEA HEN CHICKS FROM ? MININESOTTA?  SAM K ORDERED THEM FOR US.  THOS E  WILL GO INTo  THE ICU HOUSE... THEY AHVE TO BE KEPT AT 95 DEGREES FOR A STArt   which goes down 5 degrees every few days. and i don't even know where the 4th is sitting..

hopefully graduating to the new chicken house... which is almost ready for them ..
needs  minor detail... a roof.
