how come -------all these kids that work here can shove their cell phones into their back pocket or underwear and they stay there I've tried the same thing with my cell phone and the thing ends up in the seat of the tractor--- it's just one of more of the frustrations of technology for the aged… along with the touch screen For a hand that shakes … And the fact that it has somebody else's name on it--- it does take pretty good pictures which I haven't a clue how to send .. there is o end…
Meanwhile I consider myself very fortunate to be able to send text messages with it

we have some wonderful videos from Eva and finn . Eva is our second 48 pound wonder after Bella who has George
she must have had him about a year now and they work so well together ---it's spectacular. he runs over to her and ducks his head to get the harness on And then patiently waits till she tells him to get in the car . He jumps in---- It doesn't come automatically. it's taken them I always say a six month Training. For them to get used to working together. this also has a great deal to do with the parents encouraging her to do everything herself and I think she does pretty much…. latest email says that she is now walking after 8 months of being back in a wheelchair . the whole operation is not without risk … he could knock her over and she have the brittle bone problem.. she does fall anyway …But with Finn She is so much stronger walking with him when she can. The whole thing is a huge plus
Getting back to training------ I was shocked yesterday when Laura was talking to someone about training and saying how they---- being our trainer----- have started basically shoving a cookie in their nose to get the dog to look at their face----- this is not my way of doing things … when you say a dogs name they should turn around and look at you and if they don't, you have some other homework to do … this whole bit about holding a cooking next to your face or your nose and saying WATCH ME or some other strange command, doesn't fit in with my logic. if I'm talking to one of my dogs, Bentley sizzle chaos or jiminey, I expect them to turn around and look at Me and see what it is I want them to do… if I'm standing there with a cookie on my nose I think they’d think I'd gone crazy---- I cannot imagine what any dog would think to have that watch me,,, Exercise
Furthermore once you start using cookies for training you most likely have a situation where the dog has trained you to feed them a cookie and their mind will be on cookies and not On learning .
There is one absolute time where we use cookies and that is when we're putting a dog back into a kennel--- I want them to run in and be happy about the whole thing so that when they go through the kennel door they turn around and face you and expect a cookie that's about the only time I can think of ….it does move forward into OK load up into the car and turn around and you can have a cookie at that point basically it gets the tail out of the way and it's it's the same maneuver go through that turn around and here's a cookie but we don't carry cookies that I knew of ---- if this is what's happening now I'm going to have to stop that 'cause I don't approve----- if the dogs are going to think about cookies they're not going to think about what they're doing….. in my opinion
