RUMOR HAS IT SOMEONE WILL BE ALONG TO FIX OUR MITSUBSHI HEAT AND A/C--- LUCKILY WE HAVE 2 INDEPENDENT SYSTEMS- AND ONLY ONE IS DOWN... THE ONE OVER MY DESK..
I LOVE DUPLICATE SYSTEMS...( LIKE TEH GENERAtor)
speaking of that--- i know i have mentioned--- "BG"--- before generator---i had what is known as an "inverter"
which lwould make my car cig lighter a one socket electric outlet--- so in a desparate situation i could park my car outside teh laundry building and with one ( fat) extension cord run ONE THING... LIKE the keroscene furnace to take teh chill off the place... key to thAT OPERATION IS USUALLY YOUR CAR STARTS..... UNLIKE TEH ROPE PULLING OF TEH LOVELY HONDAS THEY SELL - THOSE INVERTERS ARE NOT EXPENSIVE..
***
HAVING A NICE CAR IS MANY THINGS-- LIKE AN EMERGENCY CRATE TO PUT A DOG in -- A/C AND HEATED PLACE TO NAP-- I HAVE NEVER GOT OVER BEING AMAZED THAT I EXPECT IT TO START WHEN I TURN THE KEY-- FOR SO MANY YEARS I DROVE VEHICLES THAT NEEDED TO BE PUSHED TO START.... THANKFULLY ... THAT'S HISTORY...
****
ON THE TOPIC OF OVERFEEDING DONKEYS......TODAY YOU WILL SEE THE RAIN GUTTER I PUT ON THE DONKEY FENCE TO FEED TEH LITTLE GUYS--( ONCE I MOVE THE TRACTOR AND DUMPSTER) IT IS VERY SCIENTIFICALLY DESIGNED...
PROBLEM IS .. MO -- AND POCKETS NEED MORE FOOD-- AND CAN BE FED "LUNCH" OVER THE 4' TALL FENCE TEH MINI'S CAN'T REACH OVER.. WHICH IS GOOD-- BUT FRUSTRATING... I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT PROPER FEEDERS FOR THEM BECAUSE THE DOMINANT ONES WOUDL EAT TOO MUCH-- HOPEFULLY TTEH NARROW RAIN GUTTER WILL ENTERTAIN THEM WHILE FORCING THEM TO HOLD THIER HEADS SIDEWAYS TO NIBBLE SLOWLY..
*
I REALLY TIRE OF EMAILS SCOLDING ME FOR NOT FILLING THE HAY BAGS EVERY 20 MINUTES...
TEH LITTLE PONY WAS STANDING IN HAY WHICH HAD FALLEN ON THE FLOOR- AND SOMEONE WANTED ME TO GO TO THE BARN AND REFILL THE BAG WITH "FRESH HAY" \
FYI---- 3 THINGS...
ALL THIS HAY GOT BALED AT ONCE--- MONTHS AGO ( AND SOMETIMES LAST YEAR)
MOST HORSES/DONKEYS are fed hay off the ground, not in bags or feeders..
an even slightly hungry donkey will pick up every strand of hay within reach
*and then there is water buckets--- there is a huge water container outside- about 14 x 48 inches .. and if you ever see a donkey's head go all the way to the bottom of that... then let me know... otherwise... if they have to walk around outside to get a drink... so be it...
***
people are so in tune to animal abuse that they have trouble recognizing animals who are well cared for--
maybe not tot he level of secretariat-- but perfectly adequately.. i don't eat filet every night either.
***
now-- a problem.... CARE OF OUR "OLDER FOLKS" ...
let me try and paint a picture for you... judy and i went to what was called a rehab "home"... with the dogs.. judy is super-- hyper active--can smile and hold teh very straingest conversations with " older people" ---- the room had 16 people who were semi mobile--IF THEY WERE NOT NODDING OFF ASLEEP, they coudl ,get up and move around with walkers... 2 of teh men had a choice between holding onto the walker or their pants--- THEY CHOSE TEH WALKER... i mean falling down type pants.. at one point JUDY handed me paula and ran down the hall to grab a guys pANTS AND LIFT- JUST BEFOR THEY WENT TO HIS ANKLES... THE GUY WOULD FALL IF HIS PANTS WENT TO HIS ANKLES... TEH ONE ATTENDENT-- TEH WATER POURER-- WAS NOT IN CHARGE OF FALLING PANTS.. SO SHE IGNORED IT.
BENTLEY AND SIZZLE WERE LYING DOWN-- STAYING--- PAULA WAS ON A LEASH... SO I HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AROUND - THE WORST PANT JOB HAD SHOES ON THAT WERE EASILY 2" TOO BIG.... STARTING ME ON ANALYZING THE SHOE SITUATION-- BETWEEN THE TALLER MEN WALKING ON TEH BACKS OF THIER SHOES, THE SHORTER MEN WITH SHOES TOO BIG, TEHRE WERE A BUNCH OF GUYS WITH NO SHOES-- AND TEH FEW WOMEN IN THE GROUP-- NONE HAD SHOES. I AM NOT SAYING THAT IN THT SITUATION SHOES ARE 100% NECESSARY... JUST ODD.
THE BLACKBOARD SAID "HONEY MUSTARD PORK" WAS FOR LUNCH AND "CHEESE SANDWICHES WERE SCHEDULED FOR DINNER" - PLACE WAS CLEAN... AND LORD KNOWS THEY ALL HAD WATER... and fans... ( no a/c)
+
THIS "HOME" WAS AT THE END OF A DIRT ROAD --- BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY... JUDY SAID 2 PEOPLE SAID TO HER "IF I COULD JUST GET A RIDE HOME" -- IT WOULD SEEM TO ME.THAT THEY COULD USE A BETTER ACTIVITES DIRECTOR...???
THIS "ROaving dog project" is giving us AN EYEFULL.
