have at it..... https://de.flightaware.com/live/flight/DLH422 the pup is on that plane.. and it looks like they might get here slightly ahead of teh blizzard for the afternoon...
this "flight checking web shows the big weather also- which is kind of interesting... CP ajay ( A NEW YORKER) is on deck if the pland gets diverted to new york.. which i don't think it will... new york will be in worse shape than boston earlier... the next sizeable airport north of here would be pease but not many commercial planes land there... whatever airport would have to have an international status so someone would be there to collect the $65 import fee ( and to check passports)- importing an entire dog is not much of a problem-- especially if they come from a raBIES FREE COUNTRY-- WHICH DENMARK WAS--
****
this might be an appropriate place to discuss the importing of part of a dog--- like sperm--- I KNOW THAT LAURA-- WHO OWNED BMW KENNEL IN NEW YORK HAD A DEAL GOING WHERE HER FRIEND-- TEH PILOT-- WOULD PUT A VIAl of live/warm sperm in his shirt pocket - to keep it warm... this produced many "europeN BLOODLINES IN BMW PUPPY PEDIGREES-- IT ALSO PRODUCED MANY JOKES ABOUT TURKEY BASTERS AND LADIES ROOMS AT KENEDY AIRPORT-- ALL SO WHICH WERE RIDICOULOUS BECAUSE THE GEOMETRY WAS ALL WRONG.... TEH LADIES ROOM WAS ACCURATE, BUT THERE WAS MORE LIKELY A NARROW SIPHON HOSE INVOLVED...
HER METHOD HAD NO COMPLICATIONS....
***
LACKING A FRIENDLY PILOT, I TRIED IMPORTING FROZEN SPERM...I AM SURE YOU ALL ARE FASCINATED BY THE DETIALS BUT .. HEERE WE SIT WATCHING THAT PLANE COME ACROSS TEH MAP OF THE ATLANTIC... FIRST OF ALL... YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE SPERM COLLECTED AT AN OFFICIAL SPERM COLLECTING PLACE-- UNIVERSITY OR VET OFFICE SO TEH DOG CAN BE VERIFIED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE AKC... NOTARIZED SPERM? CLOSE... WHIHC THEN GETS CHILLED AND PUT IN A 36 INCH TALL STAINLESS STEEL CONTAINER FILLED WIHT LIQUID NITROGEN.....AND DATED/TIME STAMPED AS TO THE "LIFE" OF TEH NITROGEN- AND FEDEX'D FOR MEMPHIS FEDEX SORTING PLACE WHERE IT MUST BE CHECKE3D IN BY A US DEPT OF AGGRI AGENT WHO DOES NOT LIVE IN MEMPHIS- NO ONE MAY TOUCH THAT 3' TALL CONTAINER TIL HE STAMPS SOME PAPER- AFTER WHICH IT MAY THEN BE FEDEX'D ON TO BOSTON.
*******
NOW LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED... I HAD A FFEMALE COME IN HEAT AND SHOLD BE READY TO BREED ON the sat/sun/monday----.KATOUCHE-- A NICE BIG BLACK GERMAN DANE MADE THE CONTRIBUTION ON A WEDNESDAY- IT WAQS COOLED , PACKAGED AND SHIPPED EARLY THURSDAY FOR 2 DAy... SATURDAY DELIVERY IN BOSTON...
except FRIDAY WAS A HOLIDAY IN FRANCE-- NOTHING MOVED---- UNTIL SAT WHEN MY CONTAINER continued on TO MEMPHIS AND GOT THER E JUST IN TIME FOR THE USDA GUY TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF SO NO "IMPORT" STAMP TIL MONDAY WHEN FEDEX ALLOWED ME TO MEET IT AT TEH boston AIRPORT on tuesday -- WHICH I DID-- AND I DROVE IMMEDIATELY TO AMESBURY WHERER I KNEW OF A PLACE WHICH RE-INFUSED LIQUID NITROGEN-- WHEN we OPENED IT UP THERE WAS STILL SOME "CLOUD" INDICATING IT WAS PROBABLY STILL FROZEN.
I TOOK MY CONTAINER and teh female ( i forget who) TO GEORGE'S where we opened it to find we had 9 "straws" - we thawed one and george looked at it under the microscope.. and we did indeed have "swimmers" so that went in my armpit til we put it where it belonged ( with a small siphon hose,),-- we did that for another 2 days- when i took my 3' tall conatiner back for more nitrogen and fedex'd it to an AKC approved storage facility in californis??? where i paid $90 per year to store those "6 straws" i got no puppies from that AI-- i ignored the $90 for a few years then i thought opal would be a good match... and contacted the new england expert on AI-- a vet in ?rhode island... so we did all the blood studies of her LH surge- whatever and i took opal and my huge conatiner of 6 minute straws-- to rhode island for three days iun a row-- the last day he surgically impl;anted teh sperm-- we got nothing...
causing me to conclude... i have never had a successful AI and never had a natural "tie" faIL..
***
NOW I CAN DRINK MORE COFFEE WITH JUDY WHO IS HERER TO GO TO THE AIRPORT WITH ME.. GOING TO CALL BUD TO SEE IF HE WANTS TO GO ON THIS JAUNT...I THINK HE USUALLY DOES...

Just wanted to let you know that Brian will be at the farm on Wednesday and will drop off Chili (mild), corn bread, and blueberry muffins to feed the crew in the storm.
Stay warm & safe! Lisa

As an editor, I have seen a lot of odd spellings, but I never imagined there would be more than one person who spelled "prejudice" PREDIGEST. You are #2.
(PREDIGEST is what the mother wolf does before she vomits the meat for her pups.) ann
