i am distraced by the weather reports... 18 inch snowfall is alot of snow... but so far-- it is raining... if the weather planners had intended this part of "the big drip" to be snow,, then a few hours of rain will cut down that estimate considerabley did i dare say thaT??? we are ready--- well as ready as we ever will be-- lisa brought some big tin of food so we shoold manage-- last storm it was her "chili" THAT SAVED US FOR DAYS....-- maybe we should name storms by avvailable food??
we did get a call from ipswich asking us not to park.... etc.. the general public certainly can get all excited. about the impending doom of a northeaster storm, yet totally ignore teh big turn ogf the global weather wheel-- like rising sea levels... i think it is because the no'easter gets them a few days off-- pam said her town just lost 24 houses in th e last storm with porches bending down into the sea....
in my youth weather was predicted by "red sky at night" kind of things ---and rain meant you stayed in... at home... outdoor "activities" got called off- i think we are better now.. we just get wet

donkeys... i did get 2 bales of straw along with hay..... in prep -- she really can not get any bigger-- in a really big pinch... we coudl put mo in the alleyway overnight if the 2 moms need teh whole stall--- as i wandered looking over possible emergency solutions... i stared at the 10 area-- with a light wood floor ( not mo proof) the collection of valuables in that 10 foot area needs some serious attention in good weather... as a matter of facTe... i hope we make it thru to a serious "spring cleaning" my comment about teh noisy blender we use for puppy food prep... brought several comments....- pam told me i needed to go buy one becaus what she had on the counter made so much noise that i always complained from afar... i almost went someone gave us one-- and i remembered that.. so i started on the overfrlow room and came to one waring bottom- the machine part-- the good old kind with a toggle switch-- on..off i could really deal with that one--- poking the far corner i came to 2 glass top parts one of which actually fit the bottom part i had found 12 feet away in th other corner... PLUS OPNE WE HAD ONOT EVEN OPENED YET....
this is a huge problem here... when yo can not find what you already own, go buy another-- which is not onlhy too expensive, but perpetuates the problem which is causing the problem...
i honestly don't know how we coudl even start to organize the overflow room... wait til summer and pass stuff out the window????

george (dvm) heard about a gal in gloucester kate trying to deal with the real problem of certified service dog s trianed by their owners.. it is a good problem... and one with which we might be able to help-- in the past i have taken on several dogs belonging to veterans... some are beautifully trained and devoted to theri owners-- i don't think ADI has the r right approach--- she also said it costs thousands of $$ to belong to ADI... i know we have thousands of $$ in copy paper alone...... it has been a while...,. but ADI does not sound very welcoming... and a drastic shortage of trainers and dogs needs to be addressed..
here we go with the "but if's"-- ther are alot of reasons not to get involved-- except ADI needs to address ths better... in my noble opinion...

I REMEMBER... BEFORE I JOINED ADI , I WENT TO A PERSON IN PORTLAND MAINE WHO WAS TRYING TO JOIN ADI-- AND HAD ONE TRAINING ROOM LINED WITH CLIPBOARDS... SHE TOLD ME ADI WAS VERY IMOPRESSED WITH CLIPBOARDS... SHE WAS RIGHT...
OH THEY HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT JOB WHIC I WOULD LOVE TO SIMPLIFY-- EXCEPT NO ONE ASKED ME...
I COLD SOLVE THAT AIRPORT PROBLEM BY ONE SIGN " SERVIDE DOGS MUST PUT ALL HARNES AND COLLARS IN THE TUB WITH YOUR SHOES.. THEN WALK THRU THE SCREENER ALONE" -
ANY SERGV DOG SHOLD BE ABLE TO DO THAQTA... IT SAAYS IT IS PART OF THE ADI CERTIFICATION TEST.
BUT INSTEAD ADI PUT OUT 5 PAGES... I HAVE NOT READ YET.
