march 10 2018
SNORING BEHIND ME IS ONE FUNNY LITTLE MAYHEM..... SHE IS STILL ON GERMAN TIME -- AND GETS UP ABOUT 6 HOURS BEFORE CHAOS --- SHE'S  READY TO PLAY...  CHAOS IS NOT... NEITHER IS BENTLEY OR SIZZLE--  I CAN HANDLE IT --THO IT MAKES FOR A VERY SLOW MAIL CALL AT 5PM...

GETTING THE MEDICAL OBSERVATIONS OUT OF THE WAY....
*THE MILK BAG IS APPARENTLY  BEGINNING TO SWELL(- SO I AM TOLD.. NOT BY GRACE  BUT SOME  OTHER FEELER)
*MEGAN IS OFF TO IRELAND TONIGHT-- 10 DAYS-  HAD A SLIGHT "FUNNY FEELING" IN ONE EAR-  SHE WENT TO  ONE OF THSE "DOC IN A BOX" INSTANT MEDICAL CARE PLACES AND  THE DOCTOR LOOKED IN HER EAR AND SAID "GOOD HEAVENS"
I STOPPED COLD BECAUSE IT WAS NOT VERY LONG AGO I HAD PUT IN THE DD THAT SOME DOCTOR SOMEWHERE HAD SAID EVERY PERSON AT SOME POINT IN THERI LIVES WOULD HAVE SOME BUG CRAWL IN ONE EAR... HOWEVER... TURNS OUT SHE HAS A RUP[TURED EARDRUM- WHICH SHE FIGURED OUT HAPPE\NED ON SOME AIRPLANE MANY MONTHS AGO- HURT LIKE #$%^ THEN BUT WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY WIERD NOW... AND SHOULD BE OK ON THE FLIGHT...  SHE TOOK A BAG OF WHISKY  IN CASE... AND WE DISCUSSED HOW SHE COUDL NOT INSIST THEY  LAND 1/2 WAY  TO IRELAND.
*WALTER HAS NOT POOPED  AT ALL SINCE THE MEDS TOOK EFFECT - AND HER MOTHER IS IN CHARGE OF HIM...
*MAYHEM'S POOPING IS MUCH MORE PASSABLE NOW... HER FIRST OFF THE PLANE WAS DRY CRUMBLY
* SOMEBODY COULD STAND A BATH... BUT IPSWICH CALLED AND ASKED WE  USE AS LITTLE WATER AS POSSIBLE-- SOMETHING ABOUT PUMPS AND TOWERS...
* FOR THOSE OF YOU  WHO JUST CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE MORNING POO REPORT, I REMIND YOU IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A REVIEW OF COMING EVENTS BY LOOKING AT THE PUPPY HILL CAMERA- AND IF YOU CAN SEE THOSE DARK MOUNDS IN THEIR KENNELS,  WE ARE "GOOD TO GO" - THEY ARE VISABLE TODAY.... I USUALLY CHECK...  THEN I SIT HERE AND DRINK COFFEE AND SEE HOUW LONG IT TAKES STAFF TO GET THEM BAGGED AND OUT.  AGE DOES HAVE IT'S VIRTUE....  I'VE DONT  THAT ....
*THE DEATH OF OUR PRINTER HAS BEEN A SHOCKER... WHY DID I THINK IT WOULD LAST MORE THAN 3 YEARS-- THEY ARE CHEAP- THEY PRACTICALLY GIVE THEM AWAY... WHICH IS A HUGE BARGAIN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PRINT ANYTHING,,,, WITH INK.
2 PACKETS OF INK COST ABOUT WHAT THE PRINTER COST...
GOTT A LOVE IT... LIKE THE DIABETIC TESTING DEVICES.... IF THEY CAN JUST GET YOU TO BUY ONE  THEN YOU ARE STUCK BUYING THE EXPENSIVE LITTLE TESTING STRIPS...

Dear Carlene,
Zeke and I are continuing our work substitute teaching. My 15 years of teaching really comes in handy in this job. Monday morning Zeke and I walked into a 2nd/3rd-grade combination classroom.  We had a great day together.  Tuesday and Wednesday we returned to the same classroom. This was the first time we had the opportunity to work in the same classroom more than one day consecutively. It was wonderful. A 2nd/3rd-grade classroom is a very busy place. Students are up and down a lot. Students work in groups, sit in their seats, sit on the rug and then talk. The unique thing about this classroom is that instead of chairs, the students sit on exercise balls. The students work beautifully on the exercise balls. With all this classroom energy, Zeke behaved perfectly all day long. When I needed him to walk, he was there. When I needed him to lay down in front of the classroom, he did. When I was working with a small group, he moved to the rug and fell asleep.
When I first walked into that classroom, I told the kids that they needed to try and pretend that Zeke was invisible. The students told me that they couldn’t do that because he was so huge and cute. But by day three, the students were ignoring Zeke. He was just another student in the class.
Today, we put on our PTA hat. We are off to throw an ice cream party for a 2nd-grade classroom. Then Zeke and I will be MC’ing a Talent Show next week. Today is the dress rehearsal.
I have attached a picture of Zeke sleeping on the rug in the classroom while I was working with a small group of students. Best to everyone at SDP!

Love,   Shannon & Zeke
