dog bloodlines....all you dedicated camera people-- get out your pendcies and papers.... now i remember who those 2 females sealy and gabby2 are... i remember my friend passed and her husband could not cope with 3 intact females-- so we took 2 since we were the ones who had bred them- there ws a better story than that... onw of our cp's knew of a guy who had teh 2 extra danes and passed the name on to me... i knew tracy well, but last namew come and go with women so to talk to this strange guy didn't click-- took a while before he realied who i was and that is where the dogs came from... so of course we would.....
must have been goldie in th ebushes again.... as i sit and watch audrey's lovelu pups develope ( far too much for in the housemuch longer).. i made a list of all the males and females we have out and about...12 females 8 males all being someone's perfect pet until honeymoon hill calls them to service.. but... we hav e ony 4 females and 5 males not related to walter and scarlott..- ---- looking on.... of teh 5 males 3( jasper ?neutered? and bumpy california?,bentley incapacitated by electrical accident) leaving waatson -- brand new used once.. waiting... and cole not used...who could probably give us huge black pups????) my ideal would be bentley and sealy ( that wierd ?blue/brown color-- but nicely shaped dog..) -- that would make luna 3 out of 4 of the great grandmothers---- the other dog would be thumper and bobby-- two of our great dogs long gone...
otherwise sealy and watson who has not had a pup "on the ground" yet-totally unrelated-- from denmark.. not walter lines...
breeding one of those sistrs would be fun since they are inseperable- we would have a "maiden aunt" routine. it wpi;d be nice to have one last opal litter.. but she is bentley's sister....awfully heavy at the moment.-- opal and cole? to keep some of the bentley ines going espedially if bentley is not "functioning"
opal and watson - both harls--might give us a white deaf-- so only if we have someone who would like a white deaf..just to further confuse the issue and shoot down the would be geneticists.. we could keep the white female breed to either cole -- or if a male breed to the black gabby2 and probably get all merle pups again... remember all the screaming how terrible i was to breed a white dane???? that is not where you get white deaf pups... it is the harl to harl or harl to merle...that produces white deaf...
got all that straight?
go figure ...

TODAY MAY BE JUST ANOTHER FRIDAY FOR SOME PEOPLE, BUT TODAY MARKS TWO MONTHS WITH GRETCHEN. SINCE I’VE GOT HER, I HAVE MORE INDEPENDENCE AND NO LONGER HAVE TO RELY ON SOMEONE TO BE THERE FOR ME WHEN I HIT THE GROUND OR WHEN I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY CHAIR OR CAN’T WALK. I WISH I WOULD’VE KNOWN ABOUT THE SERVICE DOG PROJECT YEARS AGO. GETTING GRETCHEN FROM SDP IS THE GREATEST GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND I’M SO THANKFUL FOR ALL SDP DOES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. WITHOUT SDP I WOULD BE STUCK USING MY WHEELCHAIR. I KNOW LONGER GET WEIRD LOOKS, ABOUT HOW I WALK THE WAY I DO, OR WHY I RANDOMLY FALL DOWN AND CAN’T GET UP. ALL THEY SEE IS AN ADORABLE GIANT DANE, SHE DESERVES THAT ATTENTION BECAUSE WITHOUT HER LIFE WOULDN’T BE THE SAME.
WHEN I GO TO THE GROCERY STORE THE EMPLOYEES TELL ME THAT GRETCHEN IS THEIR FAVORITE SERVICE DOG THAT COMES INTO THE STORE AND ALWAYS COMPLIMENT ON HOW WELL TRAINED AND BEHAVED SHE IS. GRETCHEN NOT ONLY GOES TO SCHOOL FULL TIME BUT ALSO HAS TWO DIFFERENT JOBS, SHE ATTENDS ME AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE AND THE DAYCARE. WITHOUT GRETCHEN I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO DO ALL OF THIS. SHE IS VERY PATIENT WITH ME, I WALK SLOW AND SHE NEVER TRIES TO PULL OR RUSH ME.
GRETCHEN GIVES ME THE CONFIDENCE TO KEEP WALKING AND PUSHING FORWARD. WHEN MY LEGS START TO GET TIRED I LEAN ON HER FOR SUPPORT, SHE LOOKS UP AT ME AND I KNOW SHE’S THERE TO HELP.
IT WAS A LONG WAIT FOR GRETCHEN, OVER A YEAR TO BE EXACT. I REMEMBER THE MANY VISITS I HAD TO SDP BEFORE WE WERE MATCHED, I ALWAYS WONDERED WHICH ONE WILL BE MY BEST FRIEND, NOVEMBER 12TH, I FOUND YOU. I WAS SO SCARED, I REMEMBER THE RIDE DOWN TO SDP THAT DAY, I WAS SO NERVOUS I WAS ALMOST SICK. I WAS AFRAID OF IF NOT BEING A GOOD MATCH. WE BONDED RIGHT AWAY AND EVER SINCE THEN WE HAVE BEEN BUILDING OUR RELATIONSHIP AND WE HAVEN'T LOOKED BACK.
WINTER IS A MAJOR REASON I DO NOT LIKE MAINE. WHEN I SEE SNOW AND ICE, I SEE FAILURE. I’M HELPLESS, I ALWAYS FIND MYSELF ON THE GROUND LOOKING AROUND FOR HELP. I’VE EVEN HAD TO CRAWL OVER TO CARS JUST TO SEE IF THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO STAND UP. I’VE HAD PEOPLE LAUGH, CRY AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN. GRETCHEN IS PATIENT AND WILL “BRACE” FOR ME FOR HOWEVER LONG I NEED HER TO. GRETCHEN AND I EVEN LEARNED TO GET OFF THE GROUND A DIFFERENT WAY THAN THE TRAINERS SHOWED ME, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE GOING WELL FOR US SO FAR! I HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT TIME GETTING AROUND ON A DAILY BASIS AND WITH GRETCHEN I FEEL I CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING.
