---years ago when i was worried about the population explosion-- greg smith -- from houston- told me with greeat authority that he had made a study ---all teh people on earth standing shoulder to shoulder would not fill the state of south carolina- THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER??? from there we progressed to whether his estimate of 24 x 12 inches was accurate for teh area one person would take up-- it was decided there were many in Taiwan who would balance out the people from new york who were maybe 24 x 18 because they ate too many ny bagels.- which got us to new york....
from there he decided manhattan was not big enough to hold all inhabitants on the ground surface--even considering central park-- which is a big park !! HIS STATISTICS ALWAYS HAD AN OMINIOUS OVERTONE.
new york is a scary place... and they don't have golf carts to take you from one place to anotehr like ipswich.--- YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO WALK... MANY BLOCKS OFTEN BUFFETTED BY HURICANE STREGNTH WIND BETWEEN SOME OF THE BUILDINGS and at that time i don;t think any one knew abotu 601 lexington ave's engineering flaws that could have blown it down and killed 250,000 people... except for an engineering student ( a woman) who discovered teh mis calculation. ( GOOGEABLE)
i can not go to new york without that concept in my head... greg was/is full of staTISTICS FROM DUBIOUS SOURCES - .
what made me think of this discussion of teh size area a person takes up?? the OVERNIGHT pictures of hong kong with teh streeets absolutely packed with people-- and they are probably only 24 x 10" ( being alot more fit than new yorkers.)

I just wanted to touch base with you and give you an update on Dolly and I. Things have been going great!! It's been a busy summer already!
But one thing I especially wanted to share with you is that yesterday we went to a place called The Windmill. It is a huge Farm and Craft Market. On an average weekend (Saturday Only) the are 8,000- 10,000 people that go through market. SSI there are a Lot of people and dogs are allowed on leash. We saw many many dogs. Many well behaved and some not so well behaved.
Dolly was amazing as usual. She did So good and I was so proud of her. She even did really well when a small dog was barking like crazy at her. But the best part of the day was as we were leaving, a gentleman who must have seen us around for part of the day said, " Your dog gets the award for best behaved dog!!" Such a proud moment!
I want to again thank you for Dolly and all that you guys do! Your amazing!! I have a different life because of SDP and I'm loving my new life.
