PROBLEMS PROBLEMS--- I DO
ACTUALLY ENJOY DOING MAIL CALL--- IT IS LIKE COCKTAIL HOUR ---- MARKS
TEH END OF THE DAY WHEN I CAN RELAX WITH FRIENDS... ABOUT A MONTH AGO
SOMEONE COMPALINED I WAS NOT UP TO IT ( AT THAT POINT I WAS BATTLING THE FLU)
AND YESTERDAY SOMEONE WROTE AN EMAIL HOW THEY DID NOT ENJOY MY
TALKING ABOUT LOOKING FORWARD TO SUPPER ._
AS FOR MY LACK OF ENERGY AT TIMES AT MAIL
CALL-- I AM SORRY... I PUT IN QUITE A DAY STARTING OFTEN AT 4AM-- I AM 81 YEARS
OLD AND BY 5PM I AM OFTEN TIRED, SOMETIMES I HAVE MISSED A MEAL, OFTEN
MISSED ANY NAP... I HONESTLY DON 'T KNOW WHAT YOU EXPECT OF ME AT
5PM.. YOU ARE WELCOJME TO TRY MY SCHEDULE...
YOU COULD START WITH PROOFREADING OUR 990-- AND
THEN MEET WITH THE CONCRETE FORMER GUY AT NOON SO I CAN TRY AND
DEAL WITH THE NEW FEEDER FOR THE DONKEYS---- WHICH IS ALREADY MAKING SOME MAD
BECAUSE TO GET THEM OUT OF TEH MUD, THEY MAY NOT BE SEEN BY TEH DONKEY
CAMERA... AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE JULY SUN--- ALOT TO FIGURE OUT.
AND I EXPECT TO BE ON CAMERA AT 5PM-
**
NOW FOR A BIGGER PROBLEM---- POPPY IS LIMPING--
SHE IS WAALKING ON IT-- SO IT IS NOT A DISLOCATED BROKEN BONE-- SHE HAS A SORE
FOOT-- SO DO I... SHE WILL GET BETTER OR WORSE-- IT HAPPENS.. WE CAN DEAL....
NOW FOR TEH CAMMERA PEOPLE
TO GET ALL UPSET AND PUT PRESSURE ON STAFF HERE TO DO SOMETHING-- HATE TO SAY
IT GUYS BUT......... UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEGREE IN VET SCIENCE, YOU MUST NOT -
FROM EITHER 2 OR 3000 MILES AWAY TELL SOMEONE HERE TO GIVE
OUT MEDS. AND LET ME TELL YOU ... THE LAST THING I NEED TO HEAR IS " SHE
WON'T GIVE POPPY PAIN MED" DARN RIGHT I WON'T.
IT IS A MINOR PROBLEM AND I NEED TO FIGURE OTU
IS IT GETTING WORSE OR BETTER-- IF WORSE WE CALL BRYan-- if better - as is
usually the case...we forget it. at any rate giving pain meds to a
minor problem in an animla removes their ability to communicate the
problem. IF SOME OF YOU HAD YOUR WAY WE WOULD AVE A BUNCH OF
DONKEYS ON OXYCONTIN
most of "you camera people" are
wonderful--- and i love the odd comments--- but FOR ONE OR TWO OF YOU to
get all upset about poppy's foot and totally miss the question why is
joshua so thin--- really demonstrates why polititians behave as
they do.... get the public all distracted with criticizing some
minor problem and tehy will ignore teh real threat.
***
WHILE I AM AT IT.....
AN FYI ON GRASS AS OPPOSED TO MUD..... ..
"carlene is more concerned with her grass than she is the
donkeys" well the donkeys at that point were surviving nicely
on good hay and water-- i had questions as to why i never saw teh 300
feed bags I BOUTGHT FROM CHINA being used... but i could get to that...
i f i did not get some grass started we would have 12 acres of mud that
wouL d be non sustainaBLE. -- JUST THE WATER BILL FOR THE LAUNDRY IS NOW
AWFUL-- IF WE HAD 12 ACRES IOF MUD WE COUDN NOT KEEP UP WITH IT., THE
GRASS PROJECT NEEDS TO HAVE MORE SEED PUT IN PLACES WHERE THE MASSIVE
RAINSTORMS HAVE MADE GULLIES, BUT WE CAN'T SPREAD MORE TIL WHAT IS THERE IS
BETTER STARTED....
so i have time now to deal with the mud
project-- and am meeting at noon with a concrete form guy-- teh concrete pad
about 30 x 30 will be 2 loads costing bout $2500 for just the
concrete...
i will then mover the feeder up onto t he pad
and see if we can keep it cleaner that way... tehy will still have to walk thru
the 6 foot gully EVERY SPRING... -- but it would then be available
to the tractor Which might help-- along withthem not churning up the
manure mud....
now for the people who object to my
spending money on the donkeys--- rest assured... it is my own fun
fund money... not service dog money...
****
and i never got to discuss my real problem-----
we get requests to go "spread cheer " to those who need some..
and we do that free of charge--- but to get a call from a very wealthy
company assuming we would be delighted to bring our therapy dogs to spread
cheer to their employees-- i did not say all the rude things i had in
mind--- like "pay them more - " -- or "would you consider
even paying our gass bill to get there?" i think i have
done our last "for profit college job"
but that is a whole dd by itself.

Today, we were at the Leeds (Northampton) VA
hospital for one of Scott’s many appointments. Specifically, he was there
to see the doctor who told us about SDP four years ago. With tears in his
eyes, Scott thanked Dr. Fox for telling him about you. “Bumble’s a
miraculous game changer,” he told him. And he’s right. Without
Bumble, Scott was lost and I didn’t think I’d ever see him...my best
friend...again. It’s been three months since Bumble picked Scott and
there’s no looking back. These two are so connected. I’ve been
replaced, and I’m absolutely okay with it.
Thank you so very much to you all! See
you Monday.
