I AM MOST THANKFUL FOR MY DEAR FRIEND  "GOLDIE"   "THE GHOST OF THE LEFT HAND DRAWER"  YOU PEOPLE WHO DOUBT THIS ARE DUE FOR A COMEUPENCE.

I HAVE BEEN STTRUGGL;ING FOR AT LEAST 50 YEARS WITH THE MARCH MUD THAT HORSES HOOVES WILL MAKE.
I REMEMBER THE WORST.. JANINE CAN VERIFY THIS ONE...  IN LYNNFIELD A NEW STUD DONKEY GRABBED ME BY THE  SKIN OF MY RIB CAGE AND HELD ON ... PUSHING ME BACK INTO A MUDDY MANURE PUDDLE - WHERE I COULD HAVE DROWNED.... I OF COURSE WAS SCREECHING- AND JANINE HEARD ME AND ALERTED MY HUSBAND -- WHO HAD HEARD ME AND THOUGHT IT WAS A NORMAL NOISE.....

OF COURSE I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING  I COULD THINK OF-- AN OBVIOUS STATEMENT...  HAVING THE HOR4SES LIVE ON THE TOP OF A STEEP HILL IS A SOLUTION I HAVE TRIED HERE-- FOR A YEAR PUTTING THE HAY UP ON TOP OF THE HILL-- TRYING TO INVENT A WAY OF GETTIN THE HAY UP THERE  WITH PULLIES AND ROPES IN THE TREES... TO NO AVAIL-
IF YOU LOOK 1/2 WAY UP THE HILL IS WHERE WE HAD TEHM LAST YEAR-- AND IT WAS TOO MUCH STRUGGLE TO GET THE HAY INOT THAT FEEDER...AND IT TOOO BECAME TOO MUDDY...EVEN ON THE HILL.
IT WAS STUPID OF ME TO THINK WE COUDLO SATAY AHEAD OF IT .
THIS  FEEDER  IS SO MUCH EASIER TO GET TO-  BUT FOR ALL THE CLEAN UP W DID, THERE IS ANOTEHR 6" OF MUD IN THAT AREA- DUE TO ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD...

MY LATEST BRAINSTORM- WHICH I JUST GOT YESTERDAY, IS TO POUR A 30 X 30 CONCRETE SLAB AND SET THE FEEDER ON THAT.-- THEY WILL STILL HAVE TO WALK THRU  WHAT IS REALLY A DRAINAGE DITCH  BUT AT LEAST THEIR POINTY HOVES WON'T BE CONSTAntly churing it up.

i know i must try this-- why?? because goldie approves.
how so?   i was talking to everyone about the concrete slab-- and turns out the father of the  recipient who is here for the week... is a fireman... and a concrete guy!!

i will get on that today.  last i knew concrete was $62 a yard.... and that was 30 years agol.
and i know if you ask fot 10 yards... you will take the 10 yards, if they have to dump it in your driveway  they need to go home with a n empty truck... so be p[erpared-- and be accurate with teh math... this could be funn !

So I forgot to share this little tidbit on Friday.... but this right here encapsulates what Service Dog Project and Finn has done for Eve!! When we were at Discovery World. It’s a large place and no way Eve could walk the whole thing at this point. So she was mostly in her chair. We came to this area... there were a few stairs, we stopped and her friends ran ahead for more hands on fun. Without Finn we would have taken several minutes to find a way without stairs or I would have picked up my 5th grader carried her down then carried the chair down. All options either cumbersome  or time consuming and the moment may have passed. Instead Eve hopped right out and Finn was there to assist! She didn’t miss anything or get embarrassed by needing my help! And I enjoyed the faces of puzzled kids looking at an empty wheelchair then looking for the occupant 🀣. She was able to enjoy this area on her feet all because of Finn and everyone at SDP who shaped him into what he is and had faith in Eve’s 40lbs of perseverance to be the handler of a (now) 160lb Great Dane! ❤️❤️ We couldn’t be more grateful!! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
HaPpY Wishbone Day Eve!!
Get your yellow ready!!
