SEPT 20 2016

"BOB"  BORDERING ON THE BIZARRE -- AKA AS OF NOW  " BOB"
MAYBE IT IS THE  FACT THAT SDP HAS TAUGHT MANY PEOPLE TO DO  THINGS OUT OF TH E BOX...
I AM DELIGHTED TO GET SO MANY FUNNY STORIES ABOUT  RANDOM ACTS WHICH TOTALLY SURPRISE  SOME PEOPLE WHO COULD STAND A SMILE.
MY BIGGEST CHUCKLE CAUSED BY BOB... IS  THERE IS A GROUP OF 5  OR 6  JOLLY  CP  GRANDMOTHERS WHO - AFTER PRESENTING THE FIREMEN WITH CAKES ON THE 19TH. FOR A FEW MONTHS...... NOW  SET UP TO GO THERE   AS A GROUP AND COOK A MEAL  FOR THEM --- LIKE YOUR GRANDMA MADE.   THEY MET AND PLANED  TEH MEAL - AND TRUELY MASHED THE POTATOES !!  I CAN SEE IT NOW....
****
LAST KNOWN COUNT WAS 38 STATES THAT GOT AT EAST ONE CAKE ON THE 19TH...

*****
I REALLY GOT AN EDUCATION IN EDINBURGH SCOTLAND- THE GROUP OF MATH /PHYSICS TYPE HAD NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED THINKING --IN --ANY BOX  TO BEGIN WITH... AND THE SCOTS  - AS A GROUP -- ARE BRILLIANT... IN MY OPINION..

LET US CONSIDER..
"THINGS ARE A LITTLE SLOW AROUND HERE THIS CENTURY,.. WE NEED TO DESIGN A WAY FOR PEOPLE TO COME HERE AND  HAPPILY SPEND MONEY IN SOME HEALTHY FASHION.    THE  BUSINESS OF HAVING PEOPLE SIT ON THE BANKS OF THE  LOCH NESS  WAITING FOR A FICTITIOUS  PREHISTORIC NELLIE TO APPEAR IS A SOLID MONEY MAKER, BUT WE NEED SOMETHING SLIGHTLY MORE ACTIVE WITHOUT BEING EXHAUSTING.
WHY NOT GO OFF IN YON HILLS AND   SINK A 4" CAN IN THE GROUND, THEN BACK OFF ¼ A MILE AND WHACK  A  2"  BALL WITH A BAT AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET IT IN THAT CAN... IF WE SET UP ENOUGH OF THESE -- SAY 18 OR 20-- IT WOULD TAKE ALL AFTERNOON AND THESE PEOPLE COULD THEN COME IN AND ENJOY SOME OF OUR SPLENDID WHISKEY.  IF IT CATCHES ON , OUR ST ANDREWS COULD BECOME  A POPULAR DESTINATION SECOND ONLY TO ST PETERS IN ROME.  IT MIGHT EVEN ATTRACT SOME RANDOM MILLIONAIRE TO COME SPEMD MONEY HERE TOO."

ONLY IN SCOTLAND- WHERE THE WHISKEY IS PLENTIFUL AND  MENS UNDERWEAR IS IN SHORT SUPPLY.

MOVING ON.....
THE MORNING WEATHER REPORTS......I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO RE-DEFINE "GOOD WEATHER" ---   THERE IS VISUAL PROOF THAT  THE GENERAL AMERICAN PUBLIC'S MINDS HAVE BEEN TWISTED BEYOND COMPREHENSION...  "GOOD WEATHER" IN THE NORTH EAST IS CLEARLY  A GULLY WASHER FOR ABOUT  A WEEK OR ALL THESE BIG CITIES WILL BE TRYING DESPARATELY TO CLEAN UP  THE WATER OUT OF THEIR NEIGHBORING RIVERS.... GOOD LUCK WITH THE HUDSON !!  I HEAR IT IS SO SOLID WITH TRASH, THAT YOU COULD LAND A PLANE ON IT. .  I 'M TOLD BOSTON'S CHARLES IS  ALMOST SWIMMABLE... OK.... BUT ?DRINKABLE?
AND THERE IS ANOTHER MATTER....  I HAVE BEEN A RELATIVE ADULT FOR 50 YEARS OR SO... AND I DO NOT REMEMBER ANY MASSIVE REPLACEMENT OF UNDERGROUND WATER PIPES ANYWHERE IN THE USA  EXCEPT FLINT-- WHICH IS ALOT YOUNGER TOWN THAN HERE....

BOSTON AND NEW YORK ARE OLD TOWNS....OVER 50 YEARS AGO ...LEAD WAS POPULAR-   IT IS NOW THOUGHT TO BE A CAUSE OF  REDUCED MENTAL CAPABILITIES... THIS COULD EXPLAIN THE CURRENT POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT.

JUST A FEW SAMPLES OF THE CAKE DELIVERY PROJECT..
*******
I wanted to give you an update on my cake delivering. I have been delivering cakes to my neighborhood fire station since the beginning and have loved every minute of it. Yesterday I was a day ahead of myself and delivered the cake, thinking it was the 19th. One of the firemen was filling in at this particular location so he had never heard about it. He was thrilled since today is his birthday. Had I delivered the cake today, he would not have been on shift.

Thanks so much for what you do - not only raising the dogs and donating them to people in need, but also for being willing to share all of this with the world and inspiring others to do kind things. You have touched so so many people around the world.
Blessings,
Denise  from Dallas

Hi ---We haven’t met, but I’ve been a follower of Service Dog Project since the cameras went live. I don’t drive do to vision issues, so I can’t commit to delivering a cake on the 19th of each month, as I never know when I might have a driver available. A couple of months ago, right after the horrible shooting of the Police officers in Dallas, Carlene posted, I believe in the DD, about a gift of candy for Police Officers. It hit a cord with me, and since I’ve been making up “thank you bags” for area police, and fire departments, and expanded to all first responders ... when and wherever I hear a lift in spirits might be appreciated, not necessarily on the 19th of the month. I thought you might like to see another project directly inspired  by the love of SDP.

Thank you and all of those who make SDP such a huge success, and make a difference in so many lives, often in ways no one will ever know.
Sincerely,
Cindy Anschutz

CARLENE - MY APPRECIATION CAKE WAS DELIVERED AND MUST SAY "WELL RECEIVED".  IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WANTED TO DIG INTO IT IMMEDIATELY, BUT ONE SAID, "NO, WE WILL HAVE THIS FOR DESSERT".
IT IS A GOOD THING YOU MENTIONED THE 19TH IN THE DD THIS MORNING.....I FORGOT, BUT IMMEDIATELY MY FEET HIT THE FLOOR AND OFF I WAS TO THE KITCHEN.......YES, WHILE STILL IN MY JP'S I WHIPPED UP A MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE.  GETTING DRESSED COULD WAIT, I WAS ON A MISSION WITH A MORE IMPORTANT THING - LIKE BAKING.
