OCT 13, 2013

i started to clean off my desk while i waited for some stroke of brillance to put in this daily doggie..

there are alot of things on my desk..  can't hardly see the desk--things like  list of passwords---  photo's to send to courtney,---the year's financing.---
.. there is a  NEVER FLUSH LIST-- this is  not my scribble- but a professional ly printed list..

things happen around here  that are not my place to question-- so i only think this list has appeared becuse there is an impeding disaster in that regard... and whatever gods there might be are warning me-- i dare not ignore it.

it is a long list--  and slightly comical one..  it is more simply dealt with by a sign that says with one exception of toilet paper roll.... if you did not chew it and swallow it,  don't put it in here.

a long time ago i rented the training room out to a nearly homeless family for 3 months til they "found something"

two years of  "you can't throw me out i've got 2 kids"   and $5000 in legal fees  i did finally get them out...  but before they left they emptied a whole box of qtips down the toilet----another large expense teaching me never to rent it out again...  camping in there is fine...

************

larry and family have rrived from new jersey-- i know because  a ll th e dogs told me last night about 11:30 .  he is here for us t get a better idea of what his needs are...

and we  -- maria and  i---took hunter (7 year oold) out with ellsie -- she coudl not have been worse--- so we rested for a few minutes and went bck out with wendy -- who could not have been better...    the biggest thing hunter needs  is to have a dog get him baCK ON HIS FEET...  HE IS ONE DETERMINED KID  AND FALLS REGULARLY AND EASILY .. WENDY WAS VERY GOOD IN GOING TO HIM AND BRACING WHILE HE GOT BACK ON HIS FEET..   WE PRACTICED ALL THIS AT THE BEVERLY HOSPITAL ANNEX IN DANVERS.

OTHER THAN THAT --  I DID HEAR LAUREN IS DOING WELL --

YOU KNOW---- I HAVE STRUGGLED VERY HARD TO PUT ALL THIS  SDP TOGETHER-- TO BE ABLE TO DONATE DOGS TO RECIPIENTS..
I DO NOT DO FACEBOOK- AND THEREFORE DON'T GET THOSE REPORTS... DO YOU SUPPOSE IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK THAT THESE RECIPIENTS HIT ONE MORE BUTTON AND EMAIL THEIR REPORTS TO  ME ALSO?

LIKE BRIAN IN LOUISVILLE-- I WAS HOPING  TO HEAR  THAT CRIMSON WOULD MAKE US PROUD FLYING AROUNG THE COUNTRY TO AND FROM WASHINGTON DC...  I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE  WORD.
SOMETIMES MEGAN HEARS-- AND SHE DOES NOT PASS IT ON UNLESS I ASK..

SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE.

THESE STORIES ARE NOT ONLY OF INTEREST ... THEY ARE LIKE PAYCHECKS FOR ALL THE VOLUNTEERS..
*************

I AM ON A ROLL--  AND A NEGATIVE ONE.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO , IN APPLYING FOR A DOG , TELL US ALL THE CONTACTS THEY HAVE  AND ALL TH EGOOD THINGS THEY CAN  DO FOR US--
THEY THEY GET A DOG  AND THAT IS THE LAST WE HEAR FROM THEM..
ONE OF THE VERY FIRST DOGS WE PUT OUT 10 YEARS AGO-- THE WOMAN TOLD ME SHE HAD A VERY WEALTHY BROTHER WHO WOULD UNDOUBTLY DONATE TO SDP...  NEVER HEARD FROM HIM -- OR HER--- YET I KNOW PEOPLE IN THEIR TOWN AND THE DOG IS DOING BEAUTIFULLY... AND THE BROTHER IS ONE OF THE  WEALTHY  PEOPLE IN TOWN...

THEN LATELY-- THERE WAS A WOMAN WHO  SAID  SHE HAD SOME CONTACT WITH PURINA-  THAT WAS A YEAR AGO-- AND NOTHING.,

AS AN ENTIRE GROUP OF OVER 50 RECIPIENTS, HOW OFTEN DO WE GET SOME NEWS ABOUT HOW A DOG IS DOING???
I PUT THEM ALL IN THIS DAILY DOGGIE... I WOULD BE THRILLED WITH ONCE EVERY MONTH OR SO..
**************

I AM IN A RUT
WE HAVE SUCH A TERRIFFIC GROUP OF  SH#TTERS WHO ARE KEEPING US GOING... -- NOW ALL OF YU RECIPIENTS.. BREAK  AWAY FROM FACEBOOK AND SEND ME AN EMAIL  SO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS CAN STAY IN TH E LOOP ..

I HAD ONE YESTERDAY --

Fiona is doing well. She had a cough, but we gave her antibiotics and that did the trick. Boy, she loves those chicken pill pockets. I bought another pack to use as treats. We are walking in the leaves as summer leaves us. I am inspired by the DD stories and am looking forward to getting the book.

Sounds like you had a successful week. Good.

Just thought I would say "Hi".

TIME TO GET THE STEWING GOING...
