Dd 4 26

5:00 AM and this thing seems to be working so I better write the daily doggy before it decides to take the day off for some reason I am not able to get the barn cameras because that screen just tells me it can't find the Internet. this apparently can't find the Internet hopefully

my golf cart is working thankfully it is terrific it's fast it's powerful and things like that and Janine open the gates and had me take the guided tour which we could offer to anybody who comes here the whole back of the barn the arena the manure pile fencing the place looks very nice and it would be impressive to let people see it and see the operation in its entirety... which makes me wish I had the six passenger easy go golf cart that I bought basically to take veterans around through the paths in the woods etcetera and I did use it with the nursing home and daycare center crowd that came here and buses it was handy to have and it had held six passengers well it held four very nicely and then me and my dog... but it was a way to get everybody out and around that however was taken by service dog project.. I don't know why they thought it was theirs I know it cost  me about $15,000 and it cost over $3000 just to maintain i one of those mysteries of life.  Why?   Yhey  were they told not to remove anything without a judges order.   I didn't get any judges order about removing that golf cart. Now I wish I had it so I could take these people around the path and the pond they would enjoy it so. Without bud to maintain it it's probably sitting somewhere rusting away...

bud and I were counting the years that he's been around here it is somewhere between 14 and 17 years as a long time---and all the equipment that he has kept running and all the manuals he had very carefully stored away with various pieces of equipment that he would eventually need all stored carefully in those plastic boxes that we used to get full of roast beef for the dogs,,   bud has a tool pouch full of tools that you could hold in one hand and he can do more with that one pouch that most repair people have a complete set in one of those fancy red roll around tool holders. the condition of that pouch has caused me to be well aware of any Workman that shows up with a brand new tool pouch...

Moving on last night there was some sort of dinner party over at myopia hunt club .. I wondered why at about 4:30 both Janine and Michelle began to get cleaned up,,,   interestingly some 20 or 30 years ago Michelle worked for a woman named deidre pieri who drove 2 and 4: horses competitively on an international level  and at one point after working with deidre she sent Michelle over to help carlene with those donkeys that's a long time ago when I was just traing four and then 8of them go in the same directioin .  Deidre pieri was famous for doing everything absolutely perfectly from decorating a Christmas tree to driving four horses or shipping them all to Europe to compete there. As her stable help Michelle got to see the inner workings ohh the Buckingham Palace horse department... the one take away that I got from that conversation was that when that when that Buckingham Palace crew got ready for a presentation to the queen they went so far as to remove the lanterns on the side of the carriage and having polished them they then put them back all the notches in the screw heads had to be parallel to the ground...

We don't have that level of accuracy around here and I never had a carries that needed well now wait a minute I did have a carriage that needed polishing the front end of it was brass it was sort of a circus wagon but it was too heavy for the donkeys so after a few trips with it I swapped that wagon for the 4 by 6 rafters which now make up the laundry building.,,

There is a story connected to almost everything on this property

some interesting and some unmentionable.
