whoops... i got involved... so here is my response to the donkey sanctuary
I have had a lot of donkeys!
my parade hitch--- 2001...
with antlers i drove these INTO Boston's best hotel's.... 4th floor..!!!..ballrooms with Santa.
we did things you never could do with horses !!---
Note the donk out front does not have a strap on him
That was "timmy". he preferred to free lance...
NOW-----my daughter ---- Janine Jacques-----rescues donkeys from penna auctions "equine rescue network"
they often end up at my place to quarentine before re-homing.
"I". am founder of service dog project. with 50 great danes on site --- (not sold)-- and over 200 fully trained/ accredited . and donated free of charge
to people with balance problems ..... both vets and kids.
*******
i am small-- 12 acres--but have some extra room for donkeys in transit????? , if there is some way we could help your cause...??currently we have only 4 donkeys and a couple big mules. on site
i know--- and have said LOUDLY that a service donkey would be far more useful/ workable than a service horse. Some of these. 6'6" vets who like to wander around outdoors in the woods... could really use a service donkey......

p.s....FACT--- -back when i had a herd of 30-40 donkeys- and was better known for donkeys-- several times an oriental grandmother came to me with a sick grandchild in desparate need of donkey milk- as they believed it to be the best substitute for human breast feeding... I just offered them the "do it yourself "opportunity. and they would eventually come thank me and had about a quart at a time
SHOULD WE TALK ( OR EMAIL?)
