i did get a letter from a person - previously a kid- who was encouraged to investigate science by my nutty professor nonsense at mail call...
i loved doing those but ran out of ideas-- my scientific endeavors are pretty elemental-- dealing with things like gravity and water- the highlight of my "series" was lifting rocks for stone henge -- and getting my rubber ducky from teh atlantic dishpan to the pacific dishp[an.. and generally making a mess in the meantime..
i had a physics teacher in highschool-- mr. brown i can't specifically remember what he taught, but i do remember the day he got up on a student's desk as part of some gravity deal.- don't knock it--- i remember even less of teh teachings of teh latin teacher.
rthe problem with alot of science classes, is they require some physical equipment-- and if the teachers don't even have the pencils and paper, they can not be required to provide siphon hoses or blocks of wood. - yet there is an aspect of physics that kids with cell phones just don't "get..." .. i watch around here as teh interns don't begin to think of things like levers -- teh newish dump trailer... has back doors that have to swing ope... and are stiff..-- if you push on them close to the hinge, it is impossibble to move tehm... if you get out away from the hinge... they move easily= thei idea of getting under a rock with a lever to move it... is never thought of. so they struggle... apply that to ... openong jars... moving furnture-- there are practical aspects of physics-- and i have never found any practical aspects of latin..
will rogers--- old saying but still..... “There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.”
THERE IS THAT ASPECT TO LEARNING KIDS CAN NOT GET FROM LOOKING UP STUFF ON THE INTERNET...IT IS THAT ASPECT THAT I HAD SUCH FUN WITH AS THE NUTTY PROFESSOR.
NOW I FIND THERE IS A CAMERA PERSON WHO TAUGHT PHYSICE????? CAN'T YOU COME UP WITH MORE WHACKO HINGS TO TRY... I AM GOOD WITH THE PENNIES AND CENTER OF GRACFVITY TOYS ..
I FORGET THAT EVERY YEAR I CAN START WITH THE SAME NUTTY THINGS AS THE CLASSES GRADUATE...

forklifting---- HAVIGN A GOOD TIME... I AM TOLD JERI MIGHT HAVE SOME PICTURES OF US UNLOADING THE LAST PURINA DELIVERY???? IF ANY SHOW THE DETAILS OF THE PURPLE AND PAW PRINTS WITH THE PURINA LOGO IT MIGHT BE A FUN THING TO SEND THEM;.
kari tried yesterday to get a pallet up on a table---it was fun to watch-- and while i did, i thought of how to set up the "yard" so all the interns can have a turn at learning to DRIVE/use that forklift-- without any cars or DOGS IN THE WAY.
***
today PROJECTS-- TRAVEL THEN WATER DETAILS
---i have to take the dogs to a recovery high school-- apparently theresa is involved-- somethign about a kid committing suicide--
AND IT WAS TO BE WATER SOLVING DAY--- THE HOSES IN THE KENNLE NEED TO BE 8 FEET LONGH.. NOT 6... SO REDO THOSE... AND SET UP THE CHICKEN WATER WITH THOSE TURN VALVES ON A TRASH CAN-- IT OWULD BE SO MUCH QUICKER TO WATER THE CHICKENS IF I GET THAT DONE.

Dear Carlene,
Pixie is so full of life. I’m filled with so much joy for her. She ran today for the first time since April 8th the day she first got sick. She asked to even go back out again to play. I’m so beyond excited.
She is going in the yard picking up sticks bringing them to me and wants me to throw them for her. My heart is full, for her she is a true fighter an absolute inspiration to me. She gives me so much joy.
She ate again this morning boy does she ever enjoy that puppy food and her French toast.
