OCT 14 2017
withall the turnoil in the world , i feel it is my responsibility to remind you all of  teh more mundane facets of life... like... have you washed your pill boxes lately?   nearly every one has one-- or is monitoing  someone else's....-- i was ashamed to notice that between the tuesday and wednesday column of little boxes... there was a considerable  accumulation of  "dark material' of unknown consistancy.. having now run the opened little boxes thru the dish washer, the whole thing is a different color...- it still snaps shut as needed-- the only problem m  was teh thursday ink was possibly inferior leaving me to wonder which day comes between wednesday and friday....

out of the blue yesterday, i went to the barn mid morning...    poor shannon was inundated with 7 people tryng to function in and around the feed room... with so many- especially 2 "students"  trying to learn to "work" with thier coach... and one dog with an upset tummy... the instinct  is to just get things done without thinking the details-- i had coffee so i sat... mostly deciding  there were too many people there so shannons time was mostly spent trying to figure out how to keep them all busy... when in fact she probably could do the job better and quicker without all this "help..."
as i sat around the house trying to figure out how best to straighten out the problem-- not only poor shannon , but poor lee ---having been here for a while --- thought she understood some of the  details of crazy acres-- when in fact hardly anyone understands  the "why"  some of the overlapping rules and regulations..... one of the biggest rules is whatever you hear as we discuss ideas  in the house does not get passed on to anyone - anywhere-  because most are  ideas  "in transit"  and by no means a finished plan....  this goes for  "open mike" situations too.. don't pass stuff around....

i have this  problem on a normal sunday as i listen to someone explain to a  new visitor some idea which is totally wrong...   that is why i came up with the purple shirts...-- then  a couple people  bought shirts that are purple.

there is a tendency for the public  to figure out if you  are here, you must know about dog training....  i listen as visitors ask very strange questions... i have to give linda teh gold star as she will quickly say "i don't have a clue" ---   so many othre people try and be helpful and answer hte questions...too helpful can be a problem.

i love having cp's come to visit and help out-- but keep the conversations generic without  complictating  the matter  by trying  to explain  to a visitor in great detail why we have to feed donkeys out of frying pans.

some of the problems in he barn  ?? lysoll and cholrox?? sounds like nothing is wrong with thaat... but  i have long said nothing gets mixed with chlrox- because it might cause a chemical reactio to release deadly chlorine gas..
and the  official internet confirms...
Although it might not actually make you pass out, the lysol and chlorox  combination can be irritating and toxic. Make it a rule to never mix bleach with anything but plain water.

there were a bunch of problems just getting glossed oer because of too many people there...
so i need to re-think.  and talk to pam....for scheduling.  i would be alot happier to have these student s wander around the pastures picking up toys,  rocks and poo... and let her do her job.

There are about 10 GE employees due here today..   i need to......
#1.. attach a very long hose to the well and let the water run out the back of the arena to get the rain  running off in the right direction....  that water - from our foul smelling well-- gets turned on by flipping the 50amp fuze in the cellar..

#2...locate teh paint essentials for the white house.  the primer coat done with a roller left a few  spaces whidc need to be blocked  ecause water coud get between the concrete blocks -- and freeze and thaw  could cause problems... so someone needs to go round with a paimt brush and stuff pain in those holes...

#3.... on camera...  take down  some of the dondkey fence and  see if i can scoop up the 24  inches of  manure packed hay lining the fence to the point that the fence is only 2' high...... what i woul dlike to do.. is push that sh1t up the  hill and throw some seed with hopes some vegitation grows by next summer... usually teh hay is full of seed too... and they are walking in  that.

as for the little pup... i don't know-- grace took her home last nightto keep feeding her every 2 hours... so i don't have any idea if she even survived the night... her birth weight was 13 oz  and she is down to 10-11 oz  even with  "dining alone" - we are now feeding her by dribbling puppy milk replacer in her mouth with a syringe.. and she does seem to be swallowing it.. as of last night...
