now was this a GOLDIE moment? why would old friend dida show up at mail call for 5 min to tell us about lifeline testing.... i have learned not to question our "Ghost Of the Lefthand Drawer"
Carlene
Your friend was right about Lifeline testing.
It is well worth the 160.00 and hour of time.
I am in Michigan, and they test here also.
I have tested, many times with them and i am lucky to get a good report regarding my arteries. The only test i flunked was bone density :)) i also recommend them...Thanks---Barbara M
then a couple people backed up her enthusiasm
so i must look in to that today...

i am delighted with alexa--- i just sat down and asked for classical piano music-- and her choice is delightfull soothing ... without my having to argue with itunes and passwords etc... eliminates that one source of stress-- i like music... and can't find it on my own...
i can remember in the good old days--- before generalized national insanity- lord knows why, but newburgh ny had not only music programs in the junior and senior high.. choral, band and orchestra-- but every so often a commercial concert would be held at the highschool -- so i at least learned words like sonatas and symphonys as my mother would get on some culture kick and insist we (3 girls ) go and sit and listen.. then came 33 1/3 and 45's which none of this generation has ever heard of... we were all excited about hi fi--- we worshipped hifi---- and putting in huge speakers the size of aa vw bug in our sitting rooms so you could hear perfect hi fi if you sat in the bottom of a closet across the room.
as hi fi got better, the junior high band did not have the same appeal and got wiped out to put the money in the football program-- then the high school chorus got canned..-- and orchestra-- so within years we had raised a bunch of kids who were tone deaf and only recognized noise. -- with only a few hold outs for "country music"-- it was possible to listen to what they called music and try hopelessly to hum the melody.. as accent on football programs replaced music... not only were we missing the melody but we had a bunch of kids who had banged their heads on each other too many times in hopes of getting a "football" scholarship where their actual education suffers because of all this continual head banging.
and it all is caused by cutting out the junior high school orchestra.

of all th people i know, i only know 3 who are into respectable music.. geroge myers has a son who can play the piano very well... along with donna's husband-- and peter sheckamn plays the cello in a boston orchestraa. that leaves an awful lot of people banging on drums... maybe it is my problem that i find that to be just noise.

moving on.....
audrey's temp is 101.9 -- high normal in most books... still on meds... lump still tehe.. not hot.. she is eating peeing and pooping.

so far i don't think megan and steve learned anything that would change our training of dogs... the biggest thing i think was they made contact with the people at the va who now allow some veterans to preapply for service dogs' insurance coverage.. the va will not pay us for the dogs, but they will take on the expense of veternatry care, and travel of teh veteran to and from here for training... there was some commmetn about the training expamples on display --the trainers were carrying a full load of treats... and teh dogs concentratio was on the treat bag... i have said before... once you take out the treats with our danes, then that is the only thing in theri heads.. and it becomes them trying to teach you to give them treats instead of learning something to earn treats... it is a very fine line....
i think... treats are for when you go back in your kennel..

a few people were there i have heard of before-- most notably -- the guy who convinced me to try the" all wormer" from australia, is now the president of ADI... -- and i did hear one woman has asked if maybe we could give some pups to her program... we like raising pups- so if she could send us a trainer for a couple days to learn how we handle them, we might do that.... especially if she sends updates for teh CP's

pixie report
AS I HEADED OUT TRICK-OR-TREATING WITH MY SON LAST NIGHT I WAS FILLED WITH SO MANY WONDERFUL EMOTIONS. I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES OF JOY AND SADNESS. LAST YEAR I MISSED IT AND HAD TO WATCH HIM WALK AWAY WITH HIS FRIENDS AND COULDN'T JOIN IN WITH HIM CAUSE MY WALKING WAS SO BAD. IT STILL HURTS TO KNOW THE THINGS I MISSED OUT ON. THEN I JUST BECAME SO OVERJOYED WITH TEARS OF MY ABILITY TO ENJOY ANOTHER YEAR AND EXPERIENCE MY SONS LAST YEAR DRESSING UP AND HANGING OUT WITH ME ALL BECAUSE OF MY SHINNING PIXIE SHE MADE THIS DAY POSSIBLE FOR ME TO ENJOY IT AND WALK BETTER. I'M SO TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE THE A SECOND CHANCE TO DO ALL THE THINGS I MISSED OUT ON AND I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL.
MY SWEET PIXIE DIDN'T ONLY CHANGE MY LIFE BUT SHE CHANGED MY CHILDREN'S LIVES GIVING US THE ABILITY TO ENJOY SO MUCH OF THE THINGS WE ENJOY DOING TOGETHER.
