march 1 2016
i think i need to build a swing set..
gwen(daughter gwen) and i had the afternoon to wander around.. so we went to lynnfield-- home of the origional "crazy acres".  we didn't get to go in the barn in which everyone grew up-- i tried to call the owners-- not home--- i knew their phone number because that was one condition of sale was to sell them the  my phone number which was 5000.
***
that building i put up as a  "magazine shed" is still there-- looks fine.. it was my first sizable building--- with things like 2 x 4's-.----this is the building the town building inspector would not issue a building permit for because if i was building it it wouldn't last 2 years.. thus starting my unique relationship with building inspectors... which only got worse when i moved to ipswich-- where the  ipswich  "BI" told me i .."  was out of my league, i was only a woman !".  he is  thankfully  gone now....  i have a new guy to deal with over the infirmary/kennel... let ups pray . i have built many magazine buildings as curculation grew... the last one being the laundry building-- where the "back room"  was the place where i got a tractor trailer full of magazines every tuesday  for a long time.
******
back to lynnfield.....-that one car garage size 'magazine shed'  ---i built it in the 1970's  and it is still there holding up the paint--i think it was 1/4 inch plywood-- i.e. cheap !!--  because people had me convinced it would not last... i think it was even 2 x 3's not 4's ----
the other thing that is still there-- is the swing set----- and i realized that  this ipswich place, now,  is th e only place i have lived that did not have a proper swing-  my father had a way of welding 3 pieces of 24"  pipe at an angle, then  sliding in longer pipe as legs etc -- i have a little one here to hold a huge pot of stew over a sizeable fire-- but it is not a proper swing set...  we need one capable of swinging adults...
so i will get on it.  .... so to speak....-- i need a goal....  by dogfest???

i had thought of hanging chains from the peak of the arena and getting on  a swing out of the hay loft... but my background in high school physics made me worry about  the"moments of force" of swinging a heavy object (ME)...  pulling down the arena would be a bad thing.
****
i was fun to ride around with gwen  we solved alot of the problems of the world-- ending the day with  a bunch of lobsters and a spinelli's cake-- joined by  " the current family  "janine dianne, colby and peter grace and pam.
we did not put the camera on us... gwen  is staying in the guest house.
*****
i do not know how i managed to raise a child(person)  who now wears 2 bluetooth phone  THINGS around her neck, connecting 2 phones -- 2  laptops- 2 ears ---so she can drive  from boston to north carolina...while holding business  meetings on those contrapsions. ....
*****
i can not get one to work...
************
we have some tyding up to do in the arena.. after jack sparrow...

HI CARLENE,
TODAY I GOT A LOT OF GREAT PHOTOS OF THE PUPS, BUT I HAVE TO SAY THIS SHOT TICKLED MY FUNNY BONE AND IT IS MY FAVORITE OF THE DAY.
IT'S A LITTLE HARD TO READ, BUT IT SAYS: "WE NEED TINY POO PICKERS - JACK SPARROW"

THE NOTE FROM THE SPARROW WAS PROPPED UP ON TOP OF THE DOOR LEADING FROM THE BARN INTO THE ARENA. THE SPARROWS LIKE TO LAND THERE AND LOOK AT THE CAM. THE CAM OPS LIKE TO GET HIS PHOTO.

I LOVE  THAT CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW IS NOW COMMUNICATING WITH US!! JUST ONE MORE THING I LOVE ABOUT CRAZY ACRES :)

i have noticed many of the  great bird houses provided by the camera people-- now have birds living in them...
