cake day cometh--- kitty and i will do ipswich and we have alot of others lined up cross country. it might be a good idea to tke a handfull of paperplates and plastic forks just for good luck???

THE LIFE GUARD AT A DEAF SCHOOL BY MY HOME. WE FOUND THAT SOME
OF THE KIDS ACTUALLY LIKED WHEN WE PUT THE 'BOOM BOX' ON THE FLOOR BY THE POOL.
EVENTUALLY THEY DECIDED TO HAVE SPEAKERS INSTALLED IN THE POOL.
THEY'D EVEN STARTED 'THERAPY SESSIONS' FOR SOME OF THE LESS BEHAVED STUDENTS AND
FELT IT HELPED THEM SETTLE DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION BETTER
DON'T KNOW WHATEVER BECAME OF THE PROGRAM AS I LEFT FOR COLLEGE BUT
YOUR IDEA I S SPOT ON!
however i will leave it to someone far brighter than i---
( who has a govt grant) to study that...

with this weather i can't decide if it is winter/ or spring already..
the chickens are thinking it is spring... they ahve started to lay
more eggs//
as for accidential discoveries i wonder who discovered that
if they left the lights on in the hen house til 10 pm thaat
the hens would lay twice as many eggs.
grace has noted ... we are on the "increasing egg production"' side
of the solar whatever...

we have a board meeting tonight--at the country club
a meeting for 2 reasons-- somebody passed some law that we had to meet and take notes
every saint swithens day...
and the club tells us we have to eat $xxx of food per year
the only reason i continued the small "restaurant " membership (instead of my husbands golf membership) is that it is a decent restaurant 3 miles away which will guarentee you immediate seating
with a reservation- the only negative is you may not wear blue jeans.
i hope i can find my one pair of slax....
it is a fun group who can come up with ideas/ solutions and sometimes make
decisions i do not want to make.
they are the all powerful... and have the ability to fire me--

i know i am only allowed one health complaint a day around here...
..historically, ... i have opened sooooo many cans of dog food that then need to be
squashed (so the dogs don't get their tongue stuck in them. )i have had a very strong right hand
capable of flatening one end of a dog food can.... one handed.
until this accident.
but now.... i have been reduced to not opening a bottle of water...
or turning a door knob... or alot of other most pequiliar situations with clothing...
the transition from able to unable is startling even when it is only my right arm.
gives me a whole new appreciation to even a partial disability..
tying my shoes is possible---it is no longer a simple thing to do so the
"to tie or not to tie" becomes the daily question..
today i tried to figure out if tying my shoes would use up enough
calories to justify 3 cadbury white chocolate balls.

there is just tooooo much around here, i end up grazing all day as i sit
not burning up enough to justify even one cadbury ball.
it is alot easier to diet if you are surrounded by stuff you don't like
i would be thin as a rail if i had only green slimey things to eat...
like cooked spinach.
soooo goal of the day/week/month is to eat to empty the freezer
our freezer overfloweth with wonderful things.. now we have to
eat our way thru that and must not buy anything more til it is empty.
maybe that should be a "after cake day" occurance...
after enjoying cake day, we must then eat everything in th freezer
before buying any more .
i am happy to report i got rid of all that darn ice cream last night

there is some wonderful cereal the people have sent along with
teh plethera of goodies.. the cp's have tried to keep us healthy
but "the mind is weak" we can't get into the overflow cereals without passing
the candy shelf..

teh west coast contingent may come together
i have suggesteed renee-- with sir thomas- try and pull a group together
and see if we could have a west coast division-- at least for the start.
.ast night i had a cll from a very nice woman who had a
9 year old bella type looking for a george... we hae had a few of
those calls-- but this woman seemed to fit-- and he child is yet
to young to take complete care- as bella does.
but ''out there" there is a couple with 34 acres and a pregnant dane
who are interested in what we do.. there is another person in bellingham washington
with pups... i have no idea what type danes...... but it is a start...
and you do need dogs for practice.
the plan so far is for the couple with the prego to come
here maybe before she whelps. and get 7 easy lessons
in "how to"
it might go togetehr.. it might not... but it is worth a try.
