I GOT UP FULL OF ENTHUSIASM TO GET 2 THINGS DONE AND BY THE TIME I GOT THRU MYE EMAILS THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS--- I BETTER JUST QUIT AND TRY AGAIN TOMEORROWW.
LYING IN BED (BEFORE IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO CHANGE MY BANDAGES) I GOT 2 BRAINSTORMS--
TRYING TO FIND A POSITIVE TAKE ON THIS SHOCKING EXPERIENCE....I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOUD NOT HAVE A CAMPAIGN IOF LOOKING FOR THE ELEVATIOR INSPECTION CERTIFICATESS WHICH ARE USUALLY POOSTED IN THE EOLEVATORS-- AND IF THEY AREN'T THERE GO FIND THEM WHEREVER THEY ARE-- IN SOME OFFICE.. AND CHECK THE DATE OF INSPECTION.
I THINK YOUR ( AND MY) TAXES PAY FOR BUILDING INSPECTORS TO INSPECT THE ELEVATOERS ONA YEARLY BASIS. AND WE ALL RIDE IN ELEVATORS SO LOOKING FOR THOSE CERTIFICATES SHOUD NOT TAKE MUCH EFFORT - AND RESPONDING ACCORDING;Y PHONE CALL TO SOMEONE.. INCLUDING NEWS MEDIA..
THAT SHOULD RAISE HEII WITH A FEW PLACES--
AS A MATTER OF FACT I CALLED LAHEY CLINIC- PERABODY ON HAVING VERY EXPIRED CERTIFICATES POSTED ON THE ELEVATORS--- AND I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO TELL PEOPLE WHAT I AM LOOKIN FOR IN A CROWDED ELEVATOR ( CAPTIVE AUDIENCE.) PEOPLE SHOUD BE AWARE OF JUST WHAT TAXES DO WHAT...
LIKE PROVIDE CLEAN WATER... I HAVE A PROBLEM THERE-- IF IT WAS THE PIPES IN F.LINT..... THEN CHANGING THE WATER SOURCE MAY HAVE MADE SOME DIFFERENCE--BUT I QUESTION THE EFFECT ON 50 YEARS OF RESIDENTS.
*****
THEN MY OTHER BRAINSTORM WAS ... THOSE FIREMAN WERE VERY HELPFUL AND COURAGEOUS TO GET IN MY CAR WITH 2 DOGS WHICH OUTWEIGHED THEM AND DRIVE IT TO THE HOSPITAL.. THEY CERTAINLY DID NOT HAVE TO DO THAT-- AND PROBABLY IT WAS SOMETHING THEY COULD BE ADVISED NOT TO DO BYT THE RULE BOOK--SO HOW COUD I THANK THEM? A BIG CAKE-- LIKE OUR 19TH OF THE MONTH CAKES WE HAVE HERE...
SO.......I WILL DO THAT TOMORROW WHEN I CAN DRIVE BETTER....
*****
BUT WITH THIS ORGANIZATION..WE CAN SPREAD IT OUT...
WE ARE AN ARMY--- WHAT WOUOLD HAPPEN IF EACH OF YOU (THAT COULD MANAGE TO...) BOUGHT A CAKE ON THE 19TH OF THE MONTH AND TOOK IT TO YOUR LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND EXPLAINED IT WAS FROM SERVICE DOG PROJECT IN IPSWICH MA.. THAT WOULD BLOW A FEW DOORS... IN THE "DO SOMETHIGN UNEXPECTED" DEPARTMENT.
*****
MIND YOU I DON'T WANT YOU TO DO IT IF IT WOUYLD MEAN FEWER CHICKEN BRICKS-- BUT IF YOU CAN.
SOMEBODY KEEP TRACK OF THAT AND REMIND ME-- AND I WILL TAKE ONE TO IPSWICH ON THE 19TH OF FEB.
THAT IS ANOTHER SCREWBALLED THING TO DO TODAY-- WRITE A NOTE TO EPLAIN WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT AND YOU COULD COPY IT AND TAKE IT WITH THE CAKE TO YOUR LOCAL BUNCH.
GENERALLY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARE NICE PEOPLE..
****
AND THOSE ARE BEFORE I EVEN THOUGHT OF TRYING T O CLEAR UP THE VERIZON MESS.
ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS WATCH MR TRUMP ON CNN YESTERDAY WHILE I SAT IN FRONT OF THE FIRE. -- I SHOUD BE ABLE TO DO THAT ON MY COMPUTER--HOWEVER AFTER 2 HOURS ON HOLD- THEN IN THE CHAT FORM... I DISCOVERED WE HAD A $647.40 CREDIT SOMEWHERE IN THE FOREST OF THE VERIZON NETWORK.. AND MY HOME VERIZON WS A BUSINESS ACCOUNT WHICH WOULD NOT LET ME WATCH LIVE NEWS BROADCASTS.. NOW WHO DECIDED THAT?
TO RESOLVE THAT WILL TAKE 6.7 HOURS ON THE PHONE... A PERFECTLY GOOD OCCUPATIN FOR THE DAY-- SIT IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE "ON HOLD"

Dear Carlene,
The New Year is off to a rough start. One of my New Year's resolutions is to always lose weight. About two weeks ago every time I would eat I would get a horrible pain in my stomach. It got so bad didn't want to eat at all. So for about a week I didn't eat or and I drank very little. Pete brought me into the ER on Tuesday. They admitted me into the hospital that night.
Zeke was a champion. He stayed with me Tuesday through Friday until they finally took my gallbladder out. He continued to stay with me until Sunday when I was released from the hospital. He was the talk of the hospital. Transport would draw straws to see who would come up to my room to see Zeke. Other patients would be talking to their family members saying "I'm positive I saw a giant dog!" Doctors and nurses wouldn't know he was in the room until they turned the corner and saw him quietly lying in his bed. He was a true gentleman(dog).
When PT finally came, he impressed everyone (because everyone was watching) by helping me slowing walk down the hallway after my surgery.
Zeke and I are both glad to be home, resting. We both look forward to see everyone down there soon!
Best,
Shannon & Zeke
