THIS IS A WHALE OF AN INVITATION----- THIS BANK WILL COUNT COINS TODAY AND MATCH WHAT THEY COUNT WITH A DONATION TO US.... I DO HAVE A PRETTY GOOD COIN COLLECTION- SO I WILL WHEEL IT DOWN... IN A 5 GALLON JUG...
I REMEMBER THE DAYS..... OF DEALING WITH THE WANT AD MAGAZINE... I HAD 16 DELIVERY PEOPLE WHO RETURNED 16 BROWN PAPRE BAGS OF BILLS, COINS AND CHARGE SLIPS WEEKLYI HAD A 5 GALLON JUG OF PENNIES- WHICH I WANTED TO USE AS A PRIZE AT A DANVERS ANIMAL HOSPITAL PARTY... SO THE BANK COUNTED THAT FOR ME .. AND IT CONTAINED 291.XX. AND WEIGHED A TON.
CONCLUSION BEING A GALLON OF PENNIES IS $60; THEY WERE ALSO THE PRODUCT OF A VERY STRANGE PROJECT WHERE SOMEONE WITH TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS SORTED PENNIES BY THE DATE-- IT STARTED SMALL-- AND WASN'T TERRIBLE BECAUSE I NEEDED TO SEND SOMEONE A BIRTHDAY CARD ( THE GOOD OLD DAYS) I COULD SEND THEM A PENNY FROM THE CORRECT YEAR OF BIRTH...I KNOW I STILL HAVE ABOUT A ½ GALLON OF THOSE WHITE PENNIES I COULD EASILY PART WITH. IF I CAN FIND THEM..-- MADE IN ?1943 DURING THE WAR-- THEY DID NOT USE COPPER IN THEM... I BETTER CHECK EBAY AND SEE IF THEY ARE WORTH 2 CENTS EACH...???? HAS TO BE ABOUT $30 WORTH... UNLESS.........
I KNOW FROM FURTHER RESEARCH THAT MISC COINS WHICH HAVE NOT HAD THE QUARTERS PICKED OUT... CONTAIN ABOUT $20 A CUPFULL.-JUST IN CASE YOU SHOUL D EVER NEED TO KNOW.

Happy New Year.
Fiona and I went to an afternoon New Years party and although there were quite a few people she lay there quite content and not upset. Of course, everyone fussed over her and told her how beautiful she is.
We are doing well. She is romping through the snow.
Dentist apointment went well, with her patientlly laying there waiting.
She is still barking at the service men when they first come, but that is ok with me because you have to wait until she comes to you, not pushing her by tryng to get her to sniff their hand. Also I am standing by them and that is something she should be wary of.
Good friends bring her milk bones and she is jumps up when they leave to get her "good bye" bone.
Fiona is such a blessing in my life. I say a prayer for you and the volunteers and the wonderful Danes each day wahen I read the DD, which I love.
Take care.
Fiona and Mary Lou
