I DON'T EVER GET TO WORRYING ABOUT WORLD AFFAIRS LIKE THE ECONOMY OF RUSSIA, CUBA' OR THE LATEST FASHION IN RIFLES, BECAUSE I GET HUNG UP ON DETAILS THAT NEED TO BE SOLVED....
LIKE A TUBE OF TOOTHPASTE TAKES UP FAR TOO MUCH ROOM IN THE MEDICINE CABINET- I CAN'T DO MUCH ABOUT CONGRESS AND THE NATIONAL DEBT.. BUT I SHOULD AT LEAST WORK ON PROBLEMS I AM /SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF SOLVING...
COULD BE I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO-- NOW THAT THE TUBES ARE PLASTIC YOU CAN'T EVEN WIND THE END AND SHORTEN THEM.
MY MOTHER NEVER TOLD ME HOW TO DEAL WITH TOOTHPASTE TUBES . I THINK SHE MISSED OUT ON ALOT OF THINGS...
BUT I DO REMEMBER HER STANDING OVER ME ( I WAS YOUNG/SHORTER) STICKING HER FINGER OUT AT ME AND SAYING
'IF EVER A POLICEMAN TELLS YOU TO STOP- YOU STOP--- IMMEDIATELY"
I REMEMBER I WAS MUCH SHORTER THAN SHE- SO I MUST HAVE BEEN YOUNGER- I CAN NOT IMAGINE WHAT I HAD DONE AT THAT AGE FOR HER TO GIVE ME THAT LECTURE,. BUT IT STUCK WITH ME TO THIS DAY.
NOW THAT LECTURE HAS ALL KINDS OF IMPLIED RACIAL CONNOTATIONS-- AND I WOULD LIKE TO TELL THE WORLD--- I WAS A LITTLE RED HAIRED GIRL- WHICH SHOULD BE WAY DOWN THE PROBABILITY IN PROFILING-- APPARENTLY MY MOTHER THOUGHT I NEEDED TO KNOW THAT.

NOW FOR THE MEDICAL PROBLEMS OF THE DAY
MOST NOTABY... BRUCE WAS NEUTERED- HE HAD A QUICKER RECOVERY BECAUSE THE 2 OBJECTS OF THE SURGICAL PROCEEDURE WERE RIGHT THERE....READILY AVAILABLE.. AND HE RECOVERED QUICKER THAN SARGE..
HE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE -- AND STOOD UP ON THE FENCE BETWEEN THE 2 ROOMS ---UNDER THE CAMERA--- I HAD A VERY QUICK "MAYBE HE SHOULD BE LYING DOWN..." BUT I DID NOTHING-
SO TODAY-- WHERE HE ONCE HAD 2 LARGE MARBLES, HE NOW HAS A COUPLE BASEBALLS.
I HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE... SOMETHING IS OOOZING--- BUT IT DOES GO AWAY --- NOT QUICKLY, BUT IT DOES RESORB.

EACH MONTH THERE IS ONE "WINNER" WHO GETS A CERTIFICATE AND A MONETARY GIFT FROM ME- PERSONALLY-- A GIFT--- JUST TO KEEP THE PAPERWORK STRAIGHT-- IT IS A GIFT.
WE DECIDED TO GIVE THE OTHER 3 NUMBERS IN THE WINNING SQUARE RUNNER UP CERTIFICATES ( NO GIFT).

IHEART AND CHRISTINA SENT US A COMPLETE DINNER WHICH IS ALL PACKAGED FOR TRANSPORT ETC... THERE WAS ONLY GRACE AND ME LAST NIGHT -- SO WE PUT IT UN OPENED ON THE PORCH AND WILL SERVE IT TONIGHT = WHEN THERE SHOULD BE MORE POEPLE AROUND.. THEY DID THIS LAST YEAR- AND IT IS A GREAT DINNER-

THE APPLICANT WHO WAS TO COME HERE TODAY -- HAD SOME SURGERY THAT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED-- SO HE SHOUJLD BE ALONG NEXT WEEK??? MAYBE??? TO BE FIGURED OUT LATER...

IN TH E PROCESS OF CALLING HIM, ONE NUMBER WE HAVE FOR HIS HOME PHONE IS WRONG-- AND TURNED OUT TO BE A LOCAL WOMAN- SHE OF COURSE WOULD NOT TELL ME WHO SHE WAS-- BUT IN ONE OF THOSE WRONG NUMBER LONG CONVERSATIONS-- SHE SAID SHE WAS GLAD I CALLED BECAUSE SHE WAS LONELY.. I SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER ABOUT THE CAMERA PEOPLE WHO I AM SURE WOULD WELCOME HER-- I MAY EVEN CALL HER BACK TODAY. SHE DID NOT SOUND YOUNG-- SO MAYBE SHE DOES NOT HAVE A COMPUTER.. BUT THAT IS NO REASON TO NOT CALL HER. I DON'T KNOW.... I AM THINKING... I ALSO SOUND LIKE A MAN ON THE PHONE- WHICH DOESN'T HELP IN THIS SITUATION...

A bit of a "Proud of my Lydia" moment yesterday and some great parenting to report..
When entering the Doctors office building in the morning on my way for a test we had to first go into the elevator..Of course Lydia had a lot of exposure with that experience through SDP so she is a pro at that..
When getting off the elevator while exiting there was a mom with one child in a stroller and another maybe 2-3 years old...It was tight quarters to pass by them..The little girl was very excited when she seen Lydia..The mom spoke up and said, remember what I told you hunny, you have to ASK before you touch..So the little girl asked me if she could pet the doggie..I said I'm sorry sweetie but she is working, but thank you for asking..as I was passing as I was in a hurry..I could then hear the mom explaining "the doggies red vest" she was wearing and that it says you cannot pet the doggie because it was working..I really wished I had some time to have stopped and thanked the Mom for doing that..It just makes me love my little town so much more!! That is the second time I have had parents of young children take the time to explain that the dog was working and they couldn't touch it.. :)
Then I get to my appt..The dreaded Mammogram (Sorry TMI) ..Well, I laid Lydia's blanket on the far wall near where the technician stands when snapping the pic and had her down stay..She laid down on her blanket like a good girl, but watching intently at what was happening to me..I SWEAR she thought she was NEXT..lol..She left a big puddle of drool behind as she was nervous, but stayed where she was told..
The tech was very impressed with her..She just kept saying how amazing she was...>She makes me PROUD.. :) Thanks to SDP!! :)
