a camera person from lowell has offered to join the crew house sitting so we all can go to the party and not have to worry about all the things i usually worry about...
every time i hear lowell i smile-- because of 2 stories-
****i used to manage the distribution of the want advertiser magazine- which meant if any of the delivery people could not get out i had to go .. such was the case in one blizzard--- .. i went to a vey small neighborhood variety store in lowell- and it was full of kids - school had been called off-- there were a bunch-- and they were buying candy "i want the pink one on the top.. no the yellow -- over there" so when i finally got to the register i said to the guy " you are awfully nice and patient with all these kids"
his reply? "why shouldn't i be...maybe half of them are mine"
ok....
the other lowell story -- another small variety store closer to the mfg area of lowell-- guys getting out of work-- picking up the newspaper and cigarettes before going home kind of store.. again a line-- and i got at the end... the man at the register was obviously mentally challanged- and the cash register drawer hung open-- people putting bills in and helping themselves to change. all very organized.. til the guy behind me jumped forward and grabbed a guy by the neck and shook him like a rag doll- and said " in this store you take the correct change" ..
ok...
maybe when people ask where were I was educated, i should say "lowell"-

FRENZY REPORT (NEW DOG IN FLORIDA TO HELP KARMA WHO GOT HURT)
Monday & Tuesday we just did stuff around the house to keep everything low key, so that Frenzy had time to adjust.
We're having both dogs assume the "down" position for their am cookie & then come when called.
Same thing for meals.
Frenzy seems much more comfortable in the house; at first he was very anxious.
Now he knows where his bed is, although he prefers to sleep in my bed with Karma.
He knows where his "puppy toy" drawer is & loves to choose toys & play with them. The squeaky ones don't phase him.
We're practicing walking the "one step", and he's very good at it.
He comes when he's called, & seems very happy now.
He's eating well, peeing & pooping normal.
Wednesday we went to Patrick AFB. Jim used Frenzy as his service dog & I used Karma.
Frenzy was perfect. Did everything Jim needed him to do.
People around us were amazed that 2 great danes sat in a room, quiet as could be.
He's getting used to riding in the truck with Karma; he hops into the back seat with no problem.
Today he and Jim hung out together while I ran errands.
He's also a lot of fun to have around the house!
