i never saw getting into a bathrobe as any particular threat to my health and well being... but last night- there were a bunch of people in the living room and some Chinese food in the fridge. since my jammies were not the most stylish i decided to put on the bathrobe that had been hanging by the door for at least a year.
when i was younger- by at least 6 months- i could cross my arms- put them int he sleeve of my jacket and with a quick twist it would land properly .
maybe i was younger then--- because the bathrobe did not land as exspected ... instead the armpits landed, but the skirt did not clear my head--- this is when i realized this bathrobe would fit a much smaller person-- and i now had the problem of both arms held straight up, and my head covered - because of my age ( and wierd shoulder joints) i could not get untangled.
i wear one of those "i have fallen and i can't get up" buttons- but there is no way i was going to have the fire department arrive to rescue me from this blindfolding bathrobe.- and the people in the living room would never let me live it down...
i do not know who left thier bathrobe in my bedroom, but i had to destroy it with scissors ( and difficulty) to save myself.
you just never know when an event will remind you , you are not 74 any more.

and more important than that ... wicked is better-- she had a dreadful case of watgery stool- and wold not eat or drink .. we have very strange luck around here-- because my daughter gwen had a friend from kenyon visiting-- who just happened to be a veternarian... ( and is also a camera person from way back) so she looked her over-- and decided wicked would feel a bit better if we gave her some fluids-- which we have-- and 1/5 a 500 mg tablet of flagyl.... and some baby food might be more appropriate than dog food--- or the scrambled eggs we had offered.
luckily shelia could go get some baby food ---- with difficulty we managed to mix the crushed flagly in a spoonful of Gerbers best which then got smeared all over shelia's arm before we could collect it and land it further down wicked's throat.
fortunately it stayed there--- and progress was made..
george called to check- i had emailed him-- and he wants a stool sample at 8am
wiched went from producing a light tan liquid at 9pm to a brown liquid at about 3am... indicating stuff was making it thru.
and grace-- who stayed to help devlin as wicked's special nurse--- collected samples-- and fed the entire 4 jars of gerbers...
this morning she is starving and is attackjing the fence between herself and the other 7 ..
wicked was the pup that may have eaten a 3/4 inch of corn cob last wednesday -- hopefully an incidental fact.

PROGRESS IS BEING MADE AROUND HERE WITH ALL THE NEW SHELVING AND ENCLOSED FRONT PORCH...
the sh#tting stew was fine -- we had as close a second as we have had yet...230 patti bavinka from sun prarie WI was the winner by a wisker... the crowd decided because it was so close-- that the second place person 36 diane drake from marrion ma should also be give a shatupon certificate..

the newly designed t-tent was a huge success -- we did have a good crowd-- and the open center of the t tent worked well-- plus we coudl put the sh#TTING TABLE THERE... HOPEFULLY WITHIN RANGE OF TEH CAMERA...

LAUREN HAD DONE VERY NICELY WITH BORRIS-- AND IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT SHE SHOULD TAKE HIM HOME WITH HER.. SHE HAS SPENT 2 DAYS ALL ON HER OWN-- MINUS MEGAN OR MARIA-- AND HAD ONLY MINOR NROMAL PROBLEMS.
SHE STILL HAS THE LONG CLASS TIME TO DEAL WITH--- AND BORRIS HAS BEEN KNOWN TO SING WHEN BORED... THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM.
GWEN'S KENYON FRIEND CAME UP WITH A FUNNY KONG SORT OF THING FOR LICKING COULDN'T REMEMBER THENAME -- WHICH MIGHT HELP LAUREN IN CLASSES. ---GOT TO PASS THE NAME ALONG WHEN I GET IT ..
