Too much month left at the end of the money--or something like that the tree cutters did not come back yesterday and they're not here yet this morning and I'm beginning to worry because we did pay them a lot of money not the whole thing but it would it's making me nervous because there's still a lot that needs to be done around here.. although Janine has certainly got the driveway swept clean which fortunately was a nice invitation to some friends of mine from Linfield back in circus days Jean gogan was here her kids were young and in the circus so she was well in tune with the way things work around here... I hope to see him again very interestingly she came with three of her friends from their senior living place.. and the way they have it organized is that one of their children picks the three of them up once a week for a spin around the town

and that's really kind of. very good concept and I can think of another family I hope to get organized to as we went through the next couple years where is this damn thing here it is do that which would be the nutters who are also circus people... Them were the good old days...

 

I finally got to Home Depot did did manage to buy so 1 1/2 inch PVC type 1 schedule 40 and they did have four way fitting they didn't have a five way so now I've got to try and match that up with the things online to try and get a five way fitting which is what you need if you're going to have a a stand for the dog to jump over you need five way and they make it they make a whole lot of things for furniture making

 

I took about an hour this morning already to answer some specific questions that a member of the service to our project group had asked or believed in..  There are a couple things I've never talked about till now. but let me just run it one or two by you.

at the beginning of all this there was a distinct shortage of trainers which was OK um with me because back I was involved as president and Lynn was involved as director and seeing as I had taken Megan who was a babysitter and made a very good trainer out of her I assume we could do that again um not everybody would have megan's talents to begin with but it was a goal at any rate because there was a lack of personnel I devised a way of communicating the different problems with different dogs which would be as economical as possible as far as time was concerned with these trainers you know one didn't like trucks or another one tried to run up stairways or things like that that you have to know about to try and straighten out I had a system where they would write any problem in very few words Donna would type them in when she got around to it on a daily basis and all the trainers would get a print out of what dogs were doing what and I don't think it took Donna 15 minutes to do that.. but someone came along and sold a program to listen for the training of dog promising to have completed the dog's training in very short order Lynn bought it and the way it worked was each trainer was to spend almost 1/2 hour on the computer with every dog they worked . However--Lynn wanted everyone to use a program that was being marketed to produce a service dog which involved an awful lot of computer time Which would produce a data file of a lot of information you really didn't need to know what you need to know in this situation is what are the problems with this dog does it really run up the stairs in which case slow it down... That concept of a commercially marketed method as opposed to crazy carlene's method.. seemed to be much preferred by Lynn.. basically investing in the established company..... that many of the more unusual things I devised were tossed aside for the commercial variety.. Occasionally it was clearly the right thing to do but many times there were little subtle changes that got lost and if you get enough little subtle changes go on a whole picture can change which is kind of what's happening so that dogs that I was graduating at about 14 months old were still here trying to jump the fences.

 

That concept of taking someone else's word 4 some process or another... was actually the root cause of many of the larger problems till none of the dog people talk to me  at all.. and I sit around and watch mistakes being made and just drop it let them  do it

 

I just go some other direction.
