moving on from he "rest room" to the kitchen--- designed long and thin so she can keep a hand on each counter--- but it also caused her to say "all kitchens should be designed so only one person can be in there at a time" as in too many cooks spoin the broth???? she had an under the counter microwave-- "sharp" never saw one before-- realllllly handy-- great counter stools where we enjoyed a terriffic breakfast of bacon and eggs one day- and raw cookie dough the next...
and then the night life !! we went to ray stevens??club -- where everyone knew her-- or at least "lady ripple"- who i was very proud of---- great piano bar then you moved to the dining room
for the performance-- dinner was served---no choice- you ate what was offered that night... a very interesting concept. salad - roast chicken -mashed potatoe, green beans and some peach/brown sugar ice cream desert which we shared with lady ripple under the table. people seemed to know her and loved the dog-- asking her to come back with both her dogs--- she does have a second pup--- ??pup??? a 170 pound lively pup-- who eventually will be terrific... except right now he is bigger than she can handle alone ... he will learn -- maybe 6 months...
*** I could not begin to cope with trying to do m ail call---- boat ride on the river where she negociated a sizeable floating device out of the slip and back in—with a cross breeze.... I sat.
I sat a lot---- and enjoyed having no responsibilities at all—judy gave me to a delta skycap who put me on a plane. I was shuffled to sandy’s car and house and boat and barn and golf cart( gas golf cart—a new experience) back into a car and delta skycap and judys car to home again.it was lovely.
Megan has a well run kennel and appartment next to sandy’s house. She is extremely well disciplined as I watched from my window—up well before 7—basic chores quickly done- and out the driveway to “the jim” for a workout—and back before 9 to a clean kennel ( done by steve) when she deals with the 10 pups – about 8 months old-- one at a time and then the whole group in a sizeable pasture for a playtime runabout—except they stick pretty close to her as she walks around.. that photo of her with 10 dogs is not photo shopped- she is managing all 10 at once.. her fascination with collecting couches has followed her there-- as we sat as she introduced each pup to a group of possible financiers from Nashville.
Sandys son brian- lives in another garage sort of thing- he restores vintage vehicles---- and fixed the trash compactor yesterday.
He is sort of the “Janine“ of her establishment.
I certainly enjoyed my 3 days there.... sandy was a perfect hostess---- I had to come home to rest up !
