i am till reeling from bella and george on the smithsonian trailer... realistically.... even if our name does not get specifically mentioned.....it might make people go to the internet and google great dane service dogs which will get them lots of bella info which is connected to sdp -we need to think about that ahead of time. like now. so i am thinking...unfortunately so far what i come up with is not politically correct.... but i am working on it...
i will grant everyone... i am not always politically correct,.... but many times when i have to say "no" to an applicant... they get on the internet or zelk or whatever and say what a miserable b;tch i am... if prompted.... i do harbour some of those characteristics quite willingly- but not 100% of the time.
i do have "if" by rudyard stuck in the visor of my car in preperation.
mothers of dogs, donkeys, people or horses can be viscious /defensive of their young.. and "no, i can't" does not sell well... SOME OF TGHESE MOTHERS ARE , QUITE RIGHTLY, DES[PARATE..
in the meantime... along with "if". there is
"somebody said that it couldn't be done". ? edgar guest???
along with
"take a bucket and fill it with water..." by someone else?????
----
it is astounding how the internet can take you/me up and then crash down with startling regularity and with very little basis of fact........
----
speaking of facts.... i had a delightful time with a class of ipswich students who came... picked pine cones then sat on rocks in a circle to " fence in" the 5 pups th at haley brought down in her car to the puppy hill camera/swing set area.. i got talking to their teacher about how sound diminishes over distgance-- then got her MY. audiometer with which i have been living for 2 years now... - she was amazed... and fascinated with the very scientific instrament-- and could not wait to tell the science teacher of the possible lessons involved... so i gave her my audiometer. with hopes she writes my name on it and i get it back...
---
now---- nice day... lynn back.... we must get at the puppy march business.... haley should have been able to bring those pups to the swing set area with the click of a food can... granted having anna involved complicates matters but we should be able to figure out something. ? eventuA;ly should anna be able to sit in her chair on the floor while we spoon feed her and teh other pups??? almost normal like??? how's that for a goal????
_----
teh 2 helpers i have on the fence project are working well--- colby ( grandson) and cole( i don't know who he is... goldie found him) ---
interestinlyh...... they had to dig a post hole behind teh donkey cafe.... and got down 14 inches and hit what looks like teh water table in that area.... luckily all filled in and 99% of the deluge ran off without puddling. goal of the day is to get teh fence around the new puppy area.. ( and flatten the grass into a cuttable flattening)
also making a gate or two of teh fencing material......
this willl involve a trainer going to home depot--- we have a wonderful system of trainers leaving ehre to go somewherer about every 45 minutes... to do normal things in the community which a service dog would be required to do anyway... like go to home depot and buy a one size larger pipe cutter...
fyi of teh day--- the company "rigid"?? makes a hand held pipe cutter which pinches the pipe between a 3/4 inch cutting wheel so you pinch and twist and it will go thru most any pipe-- teh tool i need is about 5 inches long... i have the one that is one inch end to end-- which will cut small pipes ..
i am convinced if. more people knew about the tools involved with home repair there would be far fewer expensive. "home repair contractors". as most contractores i have ever met are just a guy with a phone and alot of friends in the trades.... long live mike rowe... talk about preparing for the future??? a future in which the younger generation has no idea what the word "repair" even means.. we are blessed to have our ultimate "solver of the broken " ... bud... there is not much he does not seem to be able to figure out.
hey world.... there should be a good market for electric drills in bright pink to go with the purple set of screwdrivers and pliers. i am a pretty good hole digger and all i have to do is sit and wiggle my fingers--- why is that a mans job???
?question... paINT THE BACKHOE PINK???? THERE IS A STORY-- I THINK IT WAS HOUSTON TEXAS... HEAVY EQUIPMENT DEALER HAD A PROBLEM WITH EQUIPMENT BEING STOLEN.. SO HE PAINTED EVERYTHING OF HIS....A BRIGHT PINK. SO EVEN IF IT WAS STOLEN AND REPAINTED, HE COUDL PROVE IT WAS HIS BECAUSE YOU COUD NEVER REMOVE ALL THE PINK FROM THE CRACKS AND CREVICES..

ON WITH THE FENCING.....
