APRIL 20 2021

YESTERDAY I SAID "NOW THAT IS A PERFECT DISCUSSION FOR TEH DAILY DOGGIE... BUT...... I FORGOT....
MAYBE IT WAS TEH USDA SUGGESTING I MICROCHIP THE GOATS. SNAP CRACKLE AND POP...

They did say that it was necessary to keep track of milking animals in case some disease got going which could wipe out our milk supply... I did point out to them that we weren't part of any milk supply with three NEUTERED. male goats but they said well they might get loose and run around and they needed to be able to identify who owns .. well I could practically guarantee him they have three GOATS get running around anywhere in our area I would be the first one the police would call and I pointed out that these three we're straight out of the slaughter patterns and had a street value of less than the cost of the chip but if I have to chip them I will they're gonna get back to me on that one ...
and I remember ----
way back Janine was involved with this RFID PIECE OF INJECTABLE “RICE” and it was getting to be possible to put a chip in a patient and tell whether that patient had gotten their medication at 2:30 in the afternoon that's really going some--- if that is 100% possible it certainly is a brave new world situation. to tTo be able to write information onto one of these chips which was already installed ..
it must be nearly possible because they do chip things like turtles or sharks or polar bears because can't they tell where a polar bear has been so they must be writing information onto these tiny chips .
maybe if I had a chip on my shoulder I would be able to remember what it was I was supposed to talk about yesterday anyway . that would be wonderful --- an external memory device--- wow ...
----
Our new puppies are wonderful----- they are also large and there are also only five of them---- so although we do have Paula coming I have started to kind of look around but what else is available and there is a litter of pups in Pennsylvania which says their 100% European I've seen them on camera THEY INCLUDE a bunch of merls so I have written to them to see if they would be interested in service dogs ..
BEN NEVER HEARD OF A  3. 4. 5. TRIANGLE----SORRY TO BORE THE ONES WHO TOOK GEOMETRY..... BUT WE NEED A RIGHT ANGLE AT THE T TENT “POINT “A”-----FOR THIS PUPPY PEN.. SO IF YOU MEASURE 3 FEET ALONG THE LINE OF THE T TENT.FROM “A”.  TO POINT “B”.  AND THEN FROM POINT A SWING AN ARC OF 4 FEET IN THE DIRECTIO N YOU WANT TO GO.... THEN MEASURE FROM “B” AND SWING A 5’ ARC CROSSING THE 4’ ARC FROM A WHERE THOSE 2 ARC’S CROSS WILL ESTABLISH A RIGHT ANGLE – AND IF YOU ARE A REALLY SLOPPY MEASURER. GO FOR 9 12 15—OR AS I DID WITH THE G TENT... 30. 40 50..
SO BEN IS TRYING TO LAY OUT THIS PUPPY PEN... WHICH WILL BE PRETTY LARGE WITH A 14 FOOT TIPI IN IT. SHOULD BE FUN TO SIT IN. NO FIREPLACE THO...
IN THE NEVER HEARD OF DEPARTMENT... I WAS AMAZED TO HEAR THAT ONE OF OUR CAMERA PEOPLE WHO HAS A DOG... HAD NEVER TAKEN A DOGS TEMP.. AND DID NOT KNOW WHERE TO START.... THOUGHT THERE WAS A SPECIAL; THERMOMETER... WELL... THERE USED TO BE AN ANIMAL THERMOMETER... IT HAD A LOOP IN ONE END SO YOU COULD PUT A PIECE OF HAY STRING ON IT SO YOU DIDN’T LOOSE IT IN THE REAR END OF SOME HORSE AND HAVE TO GO AND LOOK FOR IT
. TAKING A DOGS TEMP WHEN THEY JUST DON’T LOOK RIGHT... IS A GOOD IDEA.... I AM NOT A VET  BUT 101 102 IS NORMAL IN MY WORLD...
----
THE FACT THAT WE NOW HAVE4 ROOSTERS IS AMAZING WHERE I HAVE BEEN TOLD YOU CAN NOT KEEP 2 ROOSTERS IN THE SAME YARD.... WE NOW HAVE 4.. I THINK IT IS CAUSED BY PEOPLE BUYING ALL THOSE CUTE LITTLE FUZZY CHICKS which are sold in the early spring I don't think anybody *** is those because if you buy chicks from the hatcheries out in Michigan or wherever it's a real business and they will determined if it's a male or female before they ship him and they charge much differently for both SEXES.. They are pretty accurate at the hatchery and you can buy either all girls or as hatched I think the stores around here have as hatched ..which would explain having Roosters but I also know that they are very accurate with this process but perhaps with 50 chicks you might get one rooster by mistake and by the time you know it's a rooster it's become somebody's pet and they need to find all nice home on a farm for their pet rooster so they throw it over somebody's fence and that's how we ended up so far with four Roosters the pretty one the extra ones seemed to hang out around the donkeys pen because probably a lot of grain gets spilled there ..
The only other farm thing I have to report is that we are getting short of hay that is sort of all of New England is getting short of hay because we're getting ready to cut the new hay sometime may June right now baled hay is available but not plentiful you have to look I did want to order a tractor trailer load and split it with Janine so I called our local hay guy that ride or range that and he said he just couldn't find an extra what happens in the real world is that in this . Between old hay and new hay the truck drivers who drive this stuff around take a couple weeks off and we all end up scrambling there are ways out they do compress a into cubes and things the real problem around here is people throw out an awful lot of hay in the manure pile that's terribles however not everybody grew up learning how to shovel manure as opposed to slinging it so that's the news of the day
