NOV 30 2020

2020 11 30
My apologies to anybody who received several odd emails yesterday I'm just trying to figure out how to add a picture to the daily doggy that is sent to a couple 1000 individual emails by a company called constant contact .. it's not just simple drag on paste deal and Furthermore I've got to take the picture with my phone camera which doesn't send things easily to anybody else .. so in the process I pushed a few wrong buttons yesterday and sent out a couple mistakes .

I had a lot of comments about my approach to  science education...from yesterday ..  the interesting part is the fact that the positive comments we're all made bye people I know to be involved in some kind of practical science ..    Engineers doctors carpenters electricians  People to whom logic is a part of their everyday life ....as opposed to political science which defies everybody's imagination .
So back to logic and The cleaning of my room ..

it took 60 years of normal living for me to realize ---- a washing machine in the cellar really didn't make any sense ---you should have the washing machine where The Dirty clothes are .. So when we built this house I ELIMINATED  the closet and put a washer dryer there .
at my advanced age I realized there's only about 5 pieces of clothing that I wear-my daily uniform.... and if I have three of each at 15 piece of clothing one on me one in the washer one in the dryer ..  and at that rate I really don't need the Bureau which is basically a horizontal surface which accumulates   mostly crap ----  and my cut glasss  large shot glass and a bottle of brandy.

But the contents... by actual survey...bottom right-hundreds of  empty, washed vaccine vials and all the labels to explain the  puppy breath project...
For  you new comers... For a long time I heard about how puppy breath has magnificent healing processes and reduces stress and things like that so I decided to bottle it and send it to anyone who wanted some at $8.00 a bottle .. and we sold a lot of it---- people found  it a great conversatiob piecde and reduced stresws  if  they put it  on there computer desk  ..And one member of a board of directors had two vials for Thanksgiving dinner he SAID  that if he sprinkled that around the table the family  didn't argue .. at any rate people got a lot of fun out of that and Furthermore one person sent the vial back to me with $5 wanting a refill .. so much for the bottom right drawer

bottom center drawer has a jewelry box which has been raided so many times by Gwenn --- there's a barely anything in it ..a hermannus scarf .. a very pretty scarf I've had it now for about 20 years and I do wear it once in awhile maybe once every five years .it certainly will dress up the most mundane a wardrobes . AS SEEN BY THAT MD ON TV      ...
bottom left drawer in the collection oh iron hardware leftover from hanging the television on the wall... Being a fanatic collector of hardware you just never know when you're going to need a PIECE OF  iron-my father said never to throw away HArdware   -- this does complicate life in general.... ...

The other six drawers are somewhat the same stuff I don't use or wear .. because if I did use or wear them they would be on the washer dryer not stuck in a drawer .
I can't see what's in those drawers .. and if I can't see it I don't own it .. which is why I have a 6 foot tall stainless steel shelving which does have plastic see through boxes of things I use on a more routine basis ..  like mouse traps .
-----
I am a self anointed expert on setting mouse traps ..   and I better get to it   mice are getting out of control .
Yesterday Judy was shocked and amazed that I set six traps for without any confusion ..  what I do is to cut Cardboard boxes into about four inches by 12 inches .
then I take a mouse trap dorb a little bit of peanut butter on the target and then with great care set the spring ... at which point this trap is fragile .. so I put it on the Cardboard and with a little bit of Scotch tape make sure at least stays there till we get it where it should be ..  I had to point out to Judy that you couldn't slide it under a piece of furniture that didn't have enough clearance for it to snap   a critical piece of information .. I have tried the electrical .  the water . and any other newly invented mousetrap and constantly go back to the old Viktor --  it is quick it is final .   As for the haverheart trap    I do have a story on that one
I remember I had to have a rat for a photo shoot . and seeing as the barn was full of  em  I SET  a couple have a hearts ..  and in short order I had two rats ..
which were perfect for the photo shoot ..  I also had a policy of not injuring any animal that I've used in a commercial .. so I was not about to throw those in the pond     ---as this direction suggested  --- so I took him up the street about a mile and turned them  loose  in the forest .
one of those rats had a distinctive scar on his back .the probability of having two rats with the same scar is not terribly high ..
but the day after I turned those loose a mile away there was a rat with the same scar back in the barn ..  ..
a granted whatever caused that scar on the rat could have caused this Scar and another rat like a nail sticking out somewhere ..  but playing the probabilities I decided turning rodents loose was not the way to go .
When they started digging the holes for that development next door the entire far est  rat population was extremely upset and we had more rats than we needed So I started using those Victor traps of both sizes  rat and mouse .. .This gave us a collection of recently deceased rats and mice .. which we then decided we should become the... FROZEN RODENT DELIVERY COMPANY... to supply these to the people trying to rehabilitate Hawks and owls and Eagles and things snakes .. which meant we had to store them in the freezer ..
So that should explain to any shocked  guest in our guest house why there is a collection of carefully bagged dead rodents in that freezer ... Our barn rats  we're grain fed with the best of cereals  that. could  be put in a bag of horse food ..  Once again   my philosophy  was of  finding a need and then fill it .....  as well as utilizing any resource to its fullest .

Finding a need and filling it ... with readily available assets quickly goes to the number of 20 year olds at a high school who if they had any sense would take this quarantine TIME   To do something like pick up a washing machine being thrown out and taking it all apart and understanding how it all works and then you'd be able to repair a washing machine----and then do the same with anything  LIKE    with a small motor Briggs and Stratton .. learn all you can during this time when you haven't got anything else to do anyway ..  and by the time theCOV  is over you would have a booming business FOR everybody who instead of repairing anything just buys another one .. THE COST OF THIS EDUCATION IS   ZERO.......  THE PARTS ARE THERE...
certainly the dump my favorite place--- is full of objects that could teach somebody to be a repair person ..   of which our society has damn few .
I had a conversation with a PhD in business management .. who explained That the business world who have  taken over our hospitals oUr vet d practices  ETC  Have now taken over colleges and are all grabbing at any student who can pay the tuition to whom they can give a  Piece of paper which is worthless .

one of our volunteers has 2 Masters degrees and cannot find a job ..  but the two colleges thAT  gave her those advanced degrees PUT HER IN  DEBT to the tune of $120,000 for something that's doing her no good . THEY KEPT THAT MONEY..
So I went on line and looked up Colby college tuition ..   which is now $57,000 a year .. If anybody is considering spending $57,000 a year at Colby    keep in mind the only thing I thought I learned there which was useful was exactly what a deadline was ..  and I have a camera person reader of this daily doggy   who says all she learned to Colby was to cut hair ..  so I think you should stop  AND  think $57,000 ..  that would buy a lot of wrenches and screwdrivers and you'd be set up in a valuable business oF being able to repair anything ...

I GOT ALOT OF THESE FROM YESTERDAYS

UNLESS SOMEONE PLANS TO BE A JEOPARDY! CONTESTANT, EDUCATION BEYOND BASIC READING, WRITING AND ARITHMETIC IS A WASTE OF TIME.  MOST LEARNING WE DO, WE DO WHILE ON THE JOB.  OTHER THAN THE BASICS LEARNED IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, NONE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE CLASSES I TOOK HELPED ME GET ANY JOBS... LAUREL

INTERESTING SHE CUT IT BACK TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL...

I HAD SOME COMMENTS ON THE BREEDING OF DOGS ...

I pay more aTTENTION TO THE BREEDING OF OUR DOGS THAN  THE ATTENTION MOST PEOPLE  GIVE TO THE THINGS THEY ARE BREEDING.
I COULD HAVE A FIELD DAY THERE.
 SOME OTHER  DAY....
