AWWWWW SHUCKS--IT WAS NOT KONE ELEVATOR IN THE CATHEDRAL  FIRE- OUR VERY EFFICIENT RESEARCH TEAM OF CAMERA PEOPLE FOUND  SEVERAL PHOTOS OF TEH ELEVATORS-- WITH THE NAME OF A GERMAN COMPANY ON THEM. -----I WAS ALL SET TO HAVE A FIELD DAY/. ***   THE BOard meeting  last night took a quantum leap into the  real world of  people who  know about the meeting of boards... seeeee...... the problem has been--  long ago ( 2003 to be exact)   SDP becoming a 501 c 3  charity-- all by myself without a lawyer or official help--- and for that  plus  to get involved with ADI i had to have a "board of directors" - it literally became "find 6 poeple who want to have dinner at the club so we can call it a board meeting"   that worked really well-- ND SEVERAL INTERESTING PEOPLE HAVE  BEEN  "ON TEH BOARD" AND SUPPLIED MANY CREATIVE IDEAS IN TEH PROCESS... BUT THE REAL  FUNCTION  HAD YET TO BE DETERMINED... AND THE MEALS WERE GOOD.... this is how my family got involved in being board members-- tehr was a  gastronomic advantage to being  "on the board" - but now-- times are a changing... and last night was the first time i was there with out the support  of my biological family- and i have to admit... it was a whole new concept.  there was a concentration of "2 years from now we should think about  ...."    instead of a more critical.... " why didn't you "--  i was shocked to have one of  the new members ask if i  got monthly reports from barn manager or training manageer-- in fancy words that would be haley and megan... i see them at least twice a day-- but she pointed out the reports should be shared withthe board.. oh great---  i figure i may slowly work that concept into our daily life  so as not to shock anyone. also i am appaRENTLY RESPONSIBEL FOR  NOT ONLY KNOWING,,, BUT BEING ABLE TO SPELL THEIR LAST NAMES.... THANKFULLY THEIR FIRST NAMES HAVE ONLY 5 LETTERS---   STILL..... I AM BETTER WITH 4 LETTER  STUFF.. i was also shocked to have anyone actually read teh by-laws..- there again... back when... in 2003- i needed by-laws-- LU PICARD-- of ADI  said "just copy mine" and gave me hers-- i didn't read tehm- and passed them on to the attorny' GENERAL'S  office and everyone was happy-  for 10 years...  but now--- reading them, writing on them making notes and discussing how to make changes--- is a totally foreign idea to me.  I WAS FASCINATED WATCHING PEGGY  CROSS OFF A WORD AND PUT IN A DIFFERENT ONE ...  MADE ME WONDER WHO GOT PAID WHAT TO KNOTICE TEH WORD SHE  DECIDED WAS BETTER... WHICH I AM SURE IT IS...  I CAN TELL THIS BOARD IS  GONNA  BE DIFFERENT...   LIFE CHANGED   WHEN WE GOT TO HAVING A BUDGET OF OVER $500,000  SO RREMAINING A CHARITY DEPENDED ON THINGS LIKE ... HEAVEN FORBID... hiring an  AN ACCOUNTAnt-- an excell spread sheet was no longer  sufficient- altho alot easier to maintain and understand- when i needed  a financial reeport , all i had to do was  bring up sdp bank accounts on the screen and take a SCREEN SHOT  of teh balances-- that was real life--- so now we have an accountant who puts out financial statements whicH  accountants can understand----that don't even resemble my   photo balances----- which are FACT--- but the authorities are happy. **** "THE BOARD" DID GET STUFF  SUGGESTED --- OR DONE--- LAST NIGHT--  A NEW TRAINIGN IDEA WHICH MIGHT WORK AND IS WORTH A TRY-- AND THE NEXT CALENDAR-- I THINK GOT SETTLED ON---   MY OVERALL IS STILL  WE ARE DOING WONDERFULLY ON SEVERAL FRONTS-- IT IS  FUN TO THINK OF WORDS LIKE---  GOING VIRAL...  WINNING GRANTS AND HITTIN THE MEGABUCKS--  BUT MY INSTINCTS ARE STILL DO THE BEST JOB YOU CAN --  AND IF  YOUR EFFORTS "GO VIRAL"  JUST COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS--- BUT working  TOO HARD ON T EH VIRAl/publicity part might detract from the  actual job to be done.... asking all our cp community to get other people addicted to  watching the cameras is about as far out as i am currenty willing to go.  doubling our viewership is a perfectly good goal to set..  that would take each of you to get one more person addicted so have at it.-- got to keep the board happy. ******  re yesterday's columbine gun deal----- **** "More significantly, however, Colorado does not currently enforce a waiting period on gun purchasers.
