AWESOME ANNIE-- IS STABLE... IS ALL THEY WILL TELL US  BECAUSE WE ARE NOT RELATIVES...-
I HAVE A GREAT URGE TO CALL AND SAY I AM A SISTER IN LAW... HOWEVER...

- WITH THE HELP OF THE CAMERA PEOPLE WE BEHAVED VERY EFFICIENTLY -- WHEN SHE FELL AND COULD NOT GET UP, A NEW CP?? FROM CALIF??? CALLED TO ALERT US.. AND WE FLEW TO THE DONKEY STALL---ANNIE DOES NOT LIKE ATTENTION OR CONFUSION... SO SHE  WAS ASSURED/ORGANIZED IN THE G TENT  BY MEATCUTTER STEVE AND  WIFE DEB-- THEN MEDICALLY  ATTENDED TO BY GRACE-WHO IS AN RN...AND STEVE G AN EMT---AND I --- (AS AN EXPIRED EMT-- WAVED MY HAND )AND WENT  TO THE LOGISTICS..BP CUFF WAS FOUND... AMBULANCE WAS CALLED BY BOTH THERESA AND I- I WENT AND OPENED THE GATE AND WENT INMY GOLF CART TO THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY TO GET TEHM TO THE G-TENT WITH NO CONFUSION... ANN HAD NO PERFERENCE TO HOSPITALS.. WE ARE BETWEEN 2  BEVERLY AND ANNA JACQUES IN NEWBURYPORT..--THE AMBU SAID THE BEVERLY ER WAS A MOB SCENE SO THEY WENT TO ANNA JACQUES.  WITH GRACE IN THE AMBU AND DEB IN A CAR FOLLOWING.  HOSPITALS AROUND BOSTON ARE OFTEN JUST A SCREENING/TRIAGE FOR SENDING PATIENTS IN TO BOSTON- AND AFTER STABLEIZING ANNIE THEY SENT HER BY AMBULANCE TO BOSTON...  BY CAR TYPE AMBU-- THEY DO HAVE A HELICOPTER PORT THERE..
AS PAM AND I WENT TO RETRIEVE GRACE WE PASSED AN AMBU WITH IT'S LIGHTS FLASHIHG GOING AWAY FROM THE HOSPITAL.. SO WE ASSUMED THAT TO BE ANNIE ON HER WAY.

CONTINUING WITH THE REST OF THE SDP STORY......ONCE BACK- WITH INTERNS FEEDING AND CHORES BEING DONE IT TOOK US A FEW MINUTES IN THE OFFICE FIGURING HOUT HER CAR... AND WHAT TO DO BESIDES LET HER GO HOME ALONE AFTER HTIS HOSP BIT... REMEMBER ALL PEOPLE HERE ARE SUPPOSED TO  FILL OUT THE VOLUNTEER MEDICAL FORM-- WHICH INCLUDES "IN AN EMERGENCY"  PEOPLE TO CALL... LINDA FOUND ANNIES RIGHT AWAY .. AN DSHE HAD 2-- JANE AND BRENDEN (IN CASE SHE IS READING THIS)  THEY BOTH BEGAN TO ORGANIZE-- JANE CALLED PEOPLE AND BRENDEN SAID HE WOULD GO TO THE HOSPITAL AN D MEET HER.
SHORTLY AFTER THAT ANNIE'S BROTHER ( IN GEORGIA?) CALLED AND SPOKE OF COMING-- LATER A COIUSIN (?NH?) CALLED AND SAID SHE WAS ON  HER WAY...
SO ALL IS DONE... PRETTY EFFICIENTLY  I DO THINK..

SO NOW... WILL EVERY VOLUNTEER HERE GET THEIR VOLUNTEER FORM, CHECK TEH INFORMATION ON IT  AND INITIAL IT WITH THE DATE--

ONE OTHER DISCUSSION EVOLVED... AND IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE DISCUSSION I HAVE HAD WITH SHIELA OBRIEN OF ADI... DURING THE  ACCREDITATION...
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GRACE AND A FEW OTHER MEDICALLY OFFICIALLY TRAINED- I AM UNWILLING TO HAVE AANY DECISIONS MADE REGARDING ANY  PERSON'S CARE-- JUST LOOK  AND IF ANY QUESTION WHATSOEVER  CALL 911-
DO NOT WASTE TIME/....ADI WAS OF TEH OPINION WE SHOULD HAVE ALOT OF MEDICAL RECORDS THAT ALL OF US ARE INCAPABLE OF INTERPRETING.. ...IF WE HAD HAD HER MEDICAL HISTORY, IT WOULD HAVE SEVERELY DELAYED CALLING 911 WHILE WE ARGUED ABOUT  TEH CONTENTS OF HER PAPERWORK WITH NO EDUCATION. AND TO MAKE IT MORE RIDICULOUS, IF WE HAD A BUNC H OF MEDICAL HISTORY  WE WOULD THEN HAVE TO LOCK IT UP PER HYPPA OR WHATEVER...
WE WOULD HAVE HAD TO FIND THE KEY WHICH LOCKED UP THESE MEDICAL RECORDS-- THAT COULD TAKE A WHILE---

SINCE GRACE WANTED TO TAKE HER BP, IT WAS SUGGESTED I FIND TEH BP CUFF... AND I DID    THAT MIGHT HAVE GONE INTO THE DECISION OF WHETHER OR NOT TO CALL 911- BUT TECHNICALLY IT SHOULD NOT HAVE-- BECAUSE REGARDLESS OF WHAT HER BP WAS  WE SHOULD GET TEH AMBU ON THE WAY.

MY POINT BEING.... IF YOU HAVE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE A BLOOD PRESSURE NEEDS TAKENG YOU ARE ALREADY OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE.  IT IS NOT GOING TO  CHANGE A THING ABOUT WHAT YOU DO FOR THE PATIENT.

WE DONE GOOD...AND WILL KEEP TRACK SOMEHOW-- I HAVE TEH BROTHERS PHONE ,,,
IF ANNIE GETS IN THERE AND STARTS TALKING ABOUT HER FRIENDS THE DONKEYS, THEY MAY PUT HER IN THE LOONEY BIN BY MISTAKE...
SO WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THAT AT SOME POINT.

Dear Carlene,
I WAS IN A PLANE WAITING TO TAKE OFF, WHEN BY CHANCE I LOOKED ON THE SDP EXPLORE SITE CHAT AND DISCOVERED I WAS THIS MONTH'S SHAT-UPON WINNER! ALSO HAVING JUST WON JANINE'S NAMING RIGHTS FOR WHO IS NOW POCKETS, I HAVE TO SAY I'M NOW GOING OUT TO BUY A LOTTO TICKET. IF I WIN MILLIONS, AT LEAST ONE MILLION IS YOURS

PLEASE DONATE THE $500 PRIZE TO SDP.  IN HONOR OF MY SISTER SHERRY (HER BIRTHDATE), WHO DIED OF BREAST CANCER A FEW YEARS BACK. SHE LOVED DOGS AS MUCH AS I DO, AND I KNOW WOULD BE THRILLED AT WINNING. SHE WAS A TEACHER, SO CAN YOU PLEASE PUT THIS MONEY TOWARD THE INTERN FUND FOR THE SUMMER?

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING YOU AND ALL THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS DO AT SDP FOR THE DANES AND RECIPIENTS. I WILL CONTINUE MY MONTHLY SUPPORT FOR THIS VERY WORTHY CAUSE.

SINCERELY,  CHRISTY

Hi Carlene and Everyone at SDP,

I have been thinking that I need to send an update on Dolly and I, but I didn't really know what to say. I haven't been anywhere spectacular and I haven't done anything fabulous. Then I began to think. I haven't done anything amazing, but Dolly has! So today I am writing to say how fabulous Dolly has been. I have thought about our last week alone and what we have done.

She not only helps me get to, from and through work each day.She has also done so much more. I am recalling our grocery store trip. We got home and now was the task of bringing all those bags into the house. For me this is a big chore! For her it is a great testament of her love for me and desire to be a "working service dog" as we make many many trips (6-8) to and from the car to the house to bring the groceries in.

In the course of the last week we have been to Lowes and encountered a couple that had brought their cats shopping with them. My first thought was, Oh Boy...! The couple covered the cats eyes and Dolly and I walked by with just a leave it, walk on, leave it, walk on command. I wanted to do a dance in the middle of the isle when we got past them!! Then later in the week we encountered a small dog being carried in another store. Again she was wonderful! You guys do such an amazing job training the dogs that you pair. I am so appreciative!

When days get tough and you are tire, please don't be despaired. Know in your heart that lives are changed and that we as recipients are leading lives that would be so different if it weren't for the vision of each and every one of you involved in SDP. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
