JUNE 20 2016
WOW ---DID I GET ALOT OF SUGGESTIONS ON CATARACT SURGERY..-- ALTHO I HAD SOME WHO HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THE TRIFOCALS-- OR WHAT EVER THEY ARE CALLED..I HAD MORE THAN A FEW OF ONES WITH PROBLEMS... AND HARDLY ANYONE HAD TOUBLE WITH THE PLAIN ONES... AND WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THEM-
TO BE HONEST......I HAD THE FEELING THE DR. WAS PUSHING THEM  A BIT TOO HARD.. WHEN HE SAID "YOU WOULD BE VERY HAPPY WITH THE  XXXXX"-- I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF THE POLITITIANS TELLING ME SOMETHING THEY WANTED ME TO BELIEVE.  HE EVEN OFFERED ME TEH COMMENTS FROM A FEW OF HIS PATIENTS WHO HAD RELEASED THE HYPPA INFO.

NOW WHY WOULD HE SHOW ME ANY THAT HAD A DISASTER???? I SAID I COUDL GET A RANDOM SAMPLE OF OPINIONS MYSELF-- AND HE KIND OIF SNICKERED AT THAT.  SO I HAVE CUT AND PASTED ALL THE COMMENTS ON  ONE PAPER MINUS ANY LAST NAMES-- AND WILL SEND IT TO HIM.
( HE IS NOT THE ONE TO DO THE SURGERY.)

HEY --- MEDICINE IS ... AMONG OTHER THINGS... A BUSINESS. "IN OUR OFFICE WE DO A SET OF BASIC  SCREENING TESTS TO HAVE A BASE LINE"  RIGHT??   WRONG !!! -----I LANDED IN THE HOSPITAL ONCE FOR AN ALERGIC REACTION TO BACITRACIN--- TALK ABOUT "REDSKIN"  - AND THE ADMITTING DOCTOR ORDERED MORE TESTS THAN I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE-- AS SPECIALITY AFTER SPECIALITY ARRIVED AT MY ROOM WITH  PROCEEDURES I AM SURE WERE RELATED TO THE HOSPITALS EFFORT TO PAY FOR SOME NEW EQUIPMENT...
THE OTHER HALF IS -- YOU HAVE TO BE GLAD THEY HAVE THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU REALLY DO NEED IT.

IT IS LIKE PAYING THE SNOW PLOWS TO COME OUT AND RUN AROUND PLOWS DOWN PUSHING ½ INCH OF SNOW..  IF WE DON'T MAKE SURE THE TRUCK OWNERS MAKE ENOUGH TO PAY THE BANKERS FOR THEIR LOANS ( A PET PEEVE OF MINE.... BANKERS), THEN WHEN WE HAVE A HUGE  BLIZZARD- THE TRUCKS  WON'T BE THERE...  IT IS A DELICATE BALANCE.
I KEEP THINKING..... IF WE HAD ALL THE  TRASH TRUCKS FITTED WITH SNOW PLOWS THEY COULD BE TEH EMERGENCY  EQUIPMENT BECAUSE WHEN WE HAVE TOO MUCH SNOW THEY USUALLY DELAY TRASH PICK UP A DAY OR TWO ANYWAY...
PER  THAT "PICKING UP"  BOOK I READ ABOUT THE ART OF TRASH REMOVAL... 1 OUT OF 4 TRUCKS ON THE ROAD IS  RELATED TO DRIVING TRASH  SOMEWHERE.
*******
THE OTHER INTERESTING IS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO TOLD ME  TO HAVE THE PLAIN LENS AND GO BUY $2 WALMART READING GLASSES...
THAT MADE ME REALIZE HOW MANY NEW PEOPLE WE HAVE... THEY DIDN'T KNOW SDP HAS A BASKET FULL OF  EVERYONE'S UNUSED GLASSES--- I ASKED PEOPLE TO SEND ME THIER COLLECTION BECAUSE ........  I HAD A VISITOR ONCE WHO  THOUGHT OF WRITING ME A CHECK AND PULLED OUT HIS CHECKBOOK AND COULDNT'T FIND HIS GLASSES SO SAID HE WOULD SEND A DONATION..... I DON'T EVER WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN... SO THE NEXT GUY WHO TRYS TO GET OUT OF CHECK WRITING, I WILL PULL OUT THAT BASKET- WHICH IS ON THE MANTLE .   BESIDES.... PLENTY OF SDP VOLUNTEERS HAVE TAKEN GLASSES FROM THAT BASKET WHEN NEEDED...

SEND ME MORE UNUSED  EYEGLASSES
WHEN WE GET TOO MANY,  I GIVE THEM TO THE LOCAL LIONS CLUB-- WHICH IS A BUNCH OF LOCALS  - SO  ANY POSITIVE EFFORT IS A GOOD THING... -- AND I WILL USE THEM  TO OUR ADVANTAGE BY CREATING GOOD WILL WITH THE LIONS CLUB MEMBERS.....  WHO JUST MIGHT BE ON THE VARIOUS TOWN "BOARDS" .
******
SEVERAL PEOPLE DID GET CAKES OUT YESTERDAY-- WE DID-- IN GEORGETOWN---- SEVERAL OTHERS REPORTED FUN TIMES WITH FIRE DEPARTMENTS ON THE 19TH OF THE MONTH.....
******
TODAY WAS CAKE DAY #5 IN TACOMA, WA, AT STATION #1.
THE FIREMEN WERE JUST RETURNING TO THE STATION
AND TOOK TIME OUT FROM GETTING THEIR RIG PUT
 AWAY TO GET THEIR CAKE.
I REALLY ENJOY CELEBRATING THE 19TH OF THE MONTH
 THIS WAY.

NOW IF I WAS REALLY CONCERNED FOR THE HEALTH OF MY FIREDEPARTMENT, I WOULD LOOSE 20 POUNDS SO IF THEY EVER HAVE TO CARRY  ME OUT OF A THIRD STORY WINDOW, I WOULDN'T  BE SO HEAVY.

Hi Carlene & all at SDP,
Sorry for not being in touch lately but we have been busy with end of year school stuff & THE WEDDING!!! You should all be very proud of Princess Ruckus as she was beyond awesome in helping me through this very busy week. It was her first wedding. Plus, I felt very liberated in not doing this from a sitting position. For that I Thank You. As I tell everyone I'm the lucky one to have such a beautiful, smart, well trained, loving ( yes, I could go on & on) Service Dog to assist me. Attached are picture from the wedding & feel free to use this in the DD, Facebook or were ever. I want to give a "shoutout" to the fashion designer of Princess Ruckus's service vest. Thank you Rosedoggy!! I'm sending to SDP a donation in Rosedoggy's name to recognize her hard work in making this day more special for my son's wedding.
Live, Love, Laugh,

Carolyn & Princess Ruckus
