jan 14 2015
another day - another bowl of sawdust- and berries this time...  i should not poke fun at it..-- another pound gone and i still am putting sugar in my coffee--
i can go just so far.....

on my way to taking bentley to that nursing home, h had to go past Henry's-
which is the market where all the expensive people shop--- but it is flawless---and mostly organic-- box of beautiful  normal looking strawberries $9.99-- i wish i had bought some to see if they tasted like strawberries used to before california started raising the kind that weigh a pound each and dipping them in chocolate.

i think janine is coming over to go over the accrediation this morning...  there now exists a manual----  which contains some of the stuff i had in the accrediataion packet-- now outdated...

we outdate things quickly-- this place moves fast and you have to stay with it and not be hampered by policies which do not apply to changing cercomstances.

case in point-- unless gabby has a complete change of demeanor, she is not going to florida.. her biggest problem is she is not food oriented---- consequently she can see no reason to change whatever status quo there happens to be at the moment-- like standing in front of an open door-- most dogs willingly go thru-- not gabby-- she looks  and thinks...  and nothing will persuade her that going thru th edoor is better than just standing around.
she has perfected the perfect sideways glance  "why?"

jumping up on the sofa next to the heater ( a preferred parking place) is just not something she can see might be beneficial.  i  get on e of those glances " i am perfectly happy right here--just leave me here and do your happy dance for someone else."....   this makes training difficult.  i will try some boiled chicken thighs and see if her appetite for adventure  increases.

she may get there-- but it is going to take longer than 2 weeks  to be able to hand her to sheila in some airport.
so plans are changing...

fyi---- ann ( horse friend) gave me the name of a guy who hauls horses up and down the east coast, and has taken  to adding dogs to his trip

Mark Choper (horse transport) brings rescue dogs back from the south. He is usually full of horses on the way down, but a service dog could sit with him in the cab.  cell 978-577-8258.

that is something  maybe "normal" people don't know...  there are big vans  tractor trailer type-- ( with stalls for expensive horses) which run on schedules like greyhound busses-- one runs coast to coast  across route 80-- nebraska type--  it was that trailer that brought mary from kansas..  they were a little amazed i spent money on  transporting a 6 month old donkey in such splendeer as the "mare and foal" stall in the front-  best money i ever spent...
they can tell you what day and tiem they will be anywhere en route-- including at delivery --- lke  tuesday between 10 and 11 they will be in albany- and they are.

one other fyi  in the weird facts department--  i went to penna 100 years ago-- and bought a cabbosse  -- maybe it was erie penna--  there was a rr yard with several hundred cabbossi  no two exactly the same-- so i spent the afternoon climbing in one after another... and bought one...  they would deliver it  free to the nearest conrail yard-- which was boston.. i think it was $2500.   they notified me when it left erie -- they had to get it out of the middle of all those rr cars-- and hook it onto the back of some train... it had a number on it-- and i could dial a number and poke in it';s number and find out exactly where it was--- exactly.. like "crossing rt 22 in worcester"

what started this was/is  i had some friends who had a remodeled rr car parked in san francisco for 50 cents a night-- and it was an apt for 4 of them--  plus it had not cost much to have it attached to the back of some train going cross country-

this conversation is going no where-- except to mention--- i wonder why several rr companies pay big bucks to advertise during the evening news... what audence are they reaching for?

i better quit there..

traci go there-- from ?calif?  annie picked her up at the airport--  she landed after i went to bed... and she is now down doing  the chores--
kati is still sick

PINK IS HAPPY AND HEALTHY. WE ARE A GREAT TEAM AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER
AND BETTER. WE ARE LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE. PINK IS JUST AWESOME AND I
COULDN'T ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE. SHE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. BEFORE PINK, I
STAYED HOME MOST OF THE TIME BUT NOW WE GO EVERYWHERE TOGETHER. SHE EVEN GETS
ME UP AND DOWN STAIRS AND THROUGH THE SNOW.

I RECENTLY LOST MY DAD AND I COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH IT WITHOUT PINK.
BEFORE MY DAD PASSED, HE ASKED TO SEE PINK. THERE WAS A MILITARY FUNERAL AND
THEY WERE ALL VERY IMPRESSED WITH PINK. DURING THE SERVICE SHE ACTUALLY HELD UP
HER PAW FOR ME TO HOLD, WHICH I DID FOR THE ENTIRE SERVICE. JUST AMAZING.

WALKING WITH PINK IS LIKE WALKING WITH A CELEBRITY, EVERYBODY LOVES HER.
