boy was that a week.... actually it was a test - so we could liine up the facts for this accreditation... like job descriptions-- we had a lovely schedule--- in color bars---megan is pink maria purple tracy green and allison blue-- very pretty --- impressive....
and then reality took over....---we did make it... it started last sunday when you would have thought maria went to one of those places where you don't drink the water-- and she did.. so the purple line on the schedule was out... then allison landed in the hospital so the blue was gone... then me ( i don't have a line)... shelia deserted us and went to florida-- and steph was on ailing husband duty.. while pam was on jury duty...
by then megan is running around with her phone attached to her head and tracy looked like she had been struck by lightning..... a bunch of volunteers showed up and all was normal by the time i got home...
put that in an accreditation folder !!
it was so normal that we did a pretty good impromptu mail call without shelia's expertise...the theme of the mail call was set by the fact that ... the emergency oxygen bottle was sitting by my desk--- it had been empty when grace thought of adding it to my tachycardia problem..
i am fine... but that oxygen problem has not be solved yet--- how do i get it filled?? e/pax has a service where you send it away if you can not find a local source of O2... well -- so far i can not.
i will call teh ambulance people today---
that along with figuring out if and what in the car purchase department ---- i have decided i am thru driving something which might break down at any minute... as i have done for years... my husband-- playing the doctor role, always had a lincoln... caddie... bmw kind of thing.. while i had $100 volkswagon bugs for years ----you know--- the push to start kind-- wheree you keep 2 or 3 of them so you can swap parts and keep one running......maybe...
and then i came up in the world and drove a bronco--- that i found semi submerged in the swamp behind this house when we were building.... washed up, that wasn't too bad. it ended it's career at midnight one night with ---i think... janine driving... it got stuck in reverse and she had to go arournd the lake twice before she got up the driveway...
having re thought the tractor --- i am now spoiled rotten-- and am dreaming of a big suv kind of thing to pull the horse trailer and maybe even have a power angle plow for it...
i call it a horse trailer-- but it should be more correctly referred to as a sofa or grand piano trailer... if i had a better towing vehicle, the old tractor fit in there nicely... it is a handy piece of equipment.
********
in the service dog department... charlie is here ( steve's dog and steve is with him) he saw i was looking for help and has offered to fill in the blanks friday thru monday... probably staying here sometimes -- he now lives only an hour away.. he is a perfect solution... not one to be influenced by things like job descriptions...
*********
maybe david #1 will be around today...
he somehow did not deserve a colored line on this beautiful chart ... either.....
********
the stew report---
we have 2 boxford residents now added to the volunteer list... one a nurse-- we have alot of those and i like the li ving in boxford- which is 3 miles up the road... emergencies are better handled if there is not a 1 hour travel time involved...
earlene gave them the 50 cent tour.. and they did not get scared-- this is a good sign..
plus 2 applicants came round for a meet and greet...
and a nice young man who is a plumber ( and a veteran)
we ended up packed in the house-- i lost count of the people but in the midst were lola, sammy, charlie, willow along with the freckle butt sisters
we really must get some lally columns for the cellar..
********
the thing to remember is with steve working here ... that means charlie will be tagging around after him... charlie is a b eautiful harl dog... he is also huge--- but very well behaved- nice dog
not to be mixed with bentley unless i have hold of bentley.

Sorry George, but Blue has partial hearing. he sleeps with my daughter Robyn . she has reported that he hears the alarm clock every morning! Posting a few pics she sent. He's the typical puppy handful.
He even has a buddy to play with at the dog park.
