 DEC 28,2013
moving on..
one more holiday to go and we are done for the year.

what a battle that is..-- one good thing is -- it is great for crowd training for the dogs...

why is it we eat our way thru it---   our cookie and candy table is on overflow.. and we are doing our best to reduce the  collection... trouble is... it is all good.
when i wake up in th emorning and aleady have my next 4 or 5 meals planned i know it iw not goin g to be a weight loose day  .

breakfast is  last night's plain spagetti topped with 3 days ago's costco chicken pie
and coffee....   i like spagetti topped with things other than red sauce...
----actually this angel hair i am eating looks exactly like the  roundworms we got out of the pups...  but you don't want to hear that-- even if it is educational.

i had no midnight snack- so i figure i am one snack down...- i was too busy fighting with the printer--
i want to add our recipients to the map dawn is doing  of the people who touch base on our explore conversations.
i already posted the 24 we donated in 2013-- but no i have to go  to the "master list" of dogs... and that too needs updating.
so many chores

and the fun chore of the weekend will ( hopefully) be the cleaning of the draft harness

there is a significnt wad-- like the bucket of the tractor full- even if it is in 3 pieces-- one of those pieces is a mass of leather straps  -- he bridle and the collar are no challange.

it can be done in the kitchen so anyone working on it won't miss anything.--  and we could turn the camera on it for educational purposes... i bought 2 gallons of murphys...

i am running into a dead end--  creative wise--

other than a new million dollar self starting generator installed by the cranney company-... of danvers-- they have been terrific-- i do not know  what SDP  did to deserve to find a company that can fix anything, doesn't mind scheduling around  60 odd dog's schedule--  and they have a terriffic sense of humor-
bryan- the owner- just stands around and moves  and talks remarkably slowly- but he thinks very quickly as #1 problem solver.
my problem is  - with my short term memory i sometimes forget  the first part of  the conversation before he gets to the  end..
his company is going to attack the need for more heat in the kennel-- that really cold week  our heaters had trouble keeping up---  the fear of loosing power-- and what little heat we had-- coupled with  recieving the grant from explore.org ..made me take advantage of the cranney company's  abilities to solve problems---

a self starting generator and a proper furnace in the kennel is a dream come true..
actually we  the people  might be moving from the house to the barn in bad weather. we have had emergency phone chains where the volunteers call each other and come get a dog  to take home so we could empty the barn if the heat failed...
hopefully those days are gone forever...

along with finding my spelling unique, i hav to listen to a friend -- ann-- who keeps telling me ..HAVE HAD..... is not necessary  just  HAD  will do.

i have had to listen to her  for years.

having had to listen to shelia's comments about the 25 most interesting web cameras- where she noted several of the others.. namely a gravestone and kitchen cockroaches... i was delighted to research it further and find some respectable names as judges... namely
Al Roper-- weatherman of the today show...
hey -- that is real---
i w2ill now type all those names for this dawn person making the map of our "reach"

cutting and pasting....
