SO WHERE CAN WE PARK 36 CARS??? FOR THIS OCTOBER FEST???? JULIET SAYS TO EXPECT AT LEAST THAT NUMBER OF CARS--IT BEING THE TOPSFIELD FAIR WEEK WE CAN'T PARK THEM IN TOPSFIELD AND CARPOOL SO IT IS THE ROAD BEHIND THE ARENA OR THE FLAT FIELD...

KITTY CAN YOU HAVE THE JOB OF SEEING WHAT THE TOWN OF IPSWICH SAYS ABOUT HOOD POND AND/OR PONTECHERRY ROAD??? PARKING?? IT IS A TOWN ROAD I THINK...

THE FLAT FIELD WOULD BE FINE--- EVEN IF WE HAVE A MUDDY DOWNPOUR WE CAN GET PEOPLE PULLED OUT WITH THE TRACTOR. THAT HAS WORKED BEFORE...

 *****************

SHE ALSO ASKED IF I WOULD GET A GUEST BOOK- OR SHOULD SHE..

LET ME GET ONE THING STRAIGHT FROM THE START-- I AM NOT CAPABLE OF DEALING WITH DETAILS LIKE THE SELECTION OF THE COLOR OF THE COVER ON THE GUEST BOOK .

I WILL FIGURE OUT THINGS LIKE PORTAPOTTIES AND PARKING-- BUT THIS IS A FARM WHICH HAS TO FUNCTION WHETHER OR NOT AN EXTRA 100 PEOPLE ARE WANDERING AROUND.

ALL THE VOLUNTEERS SEEM TO HAVE THE PICTURE THAT IT IS ALL HANDS ON DECK... WHICH IN ITSELF WILL BE ANOTHER 10 CARS OR SO... WHILE MAINTAINING AMBULANCE ACCESS.

AS FOR THE FOOD.. I WILL TAKE ORDERS FOR SAT NIGHT CLAMBAKE--- AND GET THAT ORDERED--

MARK SAID HE OR SOMEONE COULD GRILL FOR SUNDAY STEW... HE WOULD BE BETTER TAKING PICTURES-- I WOULD JUST PREFER A BIG POT OF CHICKEN AND VGGIES STEW OVER THE FIRE...

*****************

I THOUGHT OF A PERFECT CHORE FOR THE WEEKEND... RE-ARRAINGE AND REPLACE THE RAILS ON THE SPLIT RAIL FENCING. IT HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT EVERY 10 YEARS-- AND IT IS A RELATIVELY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY-- 50 PEOPLE WANDERING AROUND WITH 10 ' RAILS COUDLNT GET INTO TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE IT DONE.

I WILL TRY AND ORDER A PALLETT-- JANINE ( DID THIS LAST TIME) POINTS OUT-- NEW RAILS ARE A BUGGER TO GET IN PLACE-- OLD- USED WOULD BE BETTER TO INSTALL... BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN FIND THEM.. WILL TRY.

NEWS?

MARIA NOW HAS THE WHATEVER MEGAN AND I HAD - LAST HEARD FROM SHE WAS NOT SURE SHE WOULD SURVIVE.

IT DOES MAKE YOU LOOSE WEIGHT I LOST 6 POUNDS-

UNHAPPILY I HAVE FOUND THEM AGAIN...

***********************

MEANWHILE-- TODAY'S GOAL

I HOPE TODAY'S CHORE OF EXTENDIGN THE T TENT WILL BE DONE BY NAP TIME.. IF SHELAI CAN COME ROUND WITH HER DUMP TRUCK AND WORK GLOVES I BET WE CAN DO THAT...

THEN THOSE 2 NEW/USED PICNIC TBLES CAN FIT INTHAT AREA-- SOLVING ANOTHER PROBLEM

******************

EARLENE-- WE ARE WITHIN DAYS OF NEEDING TO FIND A FRIDGE-- SO GET YOUR ADVIC READY...
***********

YESTERDAY'S DISCOVERY WAAS ... THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A ROLL OFF FREEZER THAT MCDONALDS ETDC USE.. A FREE STANDING-- I HAVE SEEN THEM BEHIND RESTAURANTS--

THAT IS REALLY FOR THE MEAT PROJECT--

I STILL THINK WE SHOULD HAVE ICE CREAM CAPABILITIES IN THE T TENT...I.E. A FRIDGE/FREEZER COMBO.

*******************

GOT TO 'TICK OFF' ONE LARGE PROJECT A DAY

*************

JEFF MASTERSSSSSSSON WILL REDO THE DRYWELL IN THE BARN AND POUR A LITTLE CONCRETE HERE AND THERE -- STARTING THE DAY AFTER LABOR DAY.

HE WILL ALSO PUT IN A PIPE FOR ELECT FROM LAUNDRY TO T TENT...

AND PEOPLE ARE BEGINNING TO WRITE THEIR LIFETIME EXPERIENCE WITH OUR SERV DOGS.. HERE IS TODAY'S

***********************

Hi Carlene!

Harry and I are doing well. We are planning another visit to the naval hospital this week and he is excited to go make people happy! I noticed that you wrote that earlene would be looking for letters about how the dogs have improved our lives and my immediate thought was from early last week. There has been a bit of rain and I was laying on the couch in a lot of pain and very stiff. Nerve pain also is just in a world of its own. The joy of injuries like this are that they come and go but when they come they sure make certain that you know they are there. Well I was laying on the couch just terribly uncomfortable (I save the expression in pain for very selective moments now after what I went through) and angry, angry that I am far to young to be feeling this broken and then this giant black and white head just laid his head on the side of mine and snuggled closer to me. It is not an obvious fall down moment where a service dog physically gets you up but it is certainly a moment where he picked me up and reminded me how lucky I am and how he is here for me. I can't help but tell every Marine we run into about SDP because I feel so lucky to have become part of the group and I want the world to know! There are so many others who can benefit from this amazing group. there are no words to describe the benefits that I am gifted with because of your generosity!
