5 pups-- which i think all of you know by now... all nursing well... mom is not likeing teh string cheese--so we better get/ try cottage cheese today-- we have boiled chicken thighs to bolster her intake... but producing all that milk means we have to add more food and calcuim to her diet.

teh battle with the fence project moves onward... joyce and i rode around to more accurately figure out exactly what i should order-- and we both came up wioth 10 rolls of fence-- red brand #70318- 177# pounds -- $236.50-- 72 inches square knot ( not welded) which also means 100 "T posts" at 8 feet, $7.34 and 10 pounds each.. ok... now the redbrand is in IL.. and going to zip 01938-- and it does look like teh shipping will be somewhere between $650 and $2500- due to a bunch of things like size/weight...
all you with calculators-- have at it...
this project would use about 4 acres much better and provide real running room(?100 x 20?) attached to 10 more kennels- without haveing to "turn them out " by hand.

i have alsways been thrilled with purina's donation of $60,000 of food... but now- when i see what trucking may cost- it is frightening,

i will be very glad to get thru the summer-- between people getting married, educated, going to conferences, and funerals, we are hardly ever full staffed. when you taqlk about "key people" that is the only kind we have-- around here everyone is key... so when 2 go to an adi conference, one to family memorial, and 2 others preparing to go to college-- add a dentist appointment here and there and -- we are short handed big time... thaT IS HALF OUR PAID STAFF... SO WE Are heavily depending on volunteers to keep the normal training going while #1 we have puppies and #2 we do senior places 2 times a week..
**
in the midst of it all when we were "doing" a senior residence- mora explained that most our volunteers were "retired professionals" - we certainly do have a collection of very competent volunteers- thank heavens. i am not too sure where she got the professional bit... i am retired from magazine delivering -- and chasing roosters around boston.. which maks me a profeessional what???- at any rate... we have many people with odd letters after their names- none of which i remember- heck--- i have trouble with the plain old names in the first place.

my car smells-- actually is is not a dog smell,,, but a "you dummy, you left the windows open mold" you can't even smell the air freshiner over the moldy odor....--- they do sell seat covers... i may have to...
i always wonder why people buy seat covers for new cars---- it is your car enjoy the new car and when it gets really bad-- then you cover them.-- when i bougtht this car, i removed one of the back seats- so teh dogs coudl get in and out bettr..( bailey was getting old) and teh toyota dealer told me i would be ruining it's resale value... i explained to him that with luck, the lack of one seat would be the least of my problems in trying to sell a car of mine..

brenda and dolly cut and paste
Because of the work you guys do at SDP I am able to give back. In my heart, I believe my disability shouldn't prevent me from giving of myself, to others. This is possible because I now have Dolly! I also believe that a pebble thrown into the water makes ripples for quite a distance. I see you guys as that pebble, because of what you do positive ripples are not ending at the recipient, but are reaching far; touching many lives. I am glad to be a part of that. Thank you so much for my wonderful gift, she is a true blessing. We hope to make you proud!
