except i did have one thing to discuss today..
the ballet of getting Mr Trump into an elevator...the entire ballet was perfectly coreographed in a matter of seconds. it took me 2 times before i realized what i had seen...
first of all... he is surrounded by mostly men in dark suits with a string down the back of thier necks attaching their ears to the world - as he stood in front of the open door of the elevator talkng to / reporters?.... , it looked like a misc crowd of men just standing around looking at the crowd....-- which by their very bulk kept everyone away from the elevator.... then mr t. turned slightly- two of these "stringy " men slid swiftly to the back of the car ----mr trump got in----.. the third man got in and spun around to be center front of the elevator car ... doors quickly shut and another man swept across in front of the closed door and blended into the crowd... i hope teh guy center front had on a bullet proof vest becasue, when that door opened he would be center front of anyone wishing ill of mr trump . --- .. i am sure this secret service bunch had at least 2 people waiting for the elevator car at the floor where he was going...and probably one in some electrical closet making sure no one pushed the wrong button... so that is at least 7 men to get him in and out an elevator.
i think mr trump may be the most challanging for the secret service to guard... a simple "go to dinner in nyc" will take dozens of men and women- and tie up traffic for blocks---i heard an interview of president obama where one of the harder adaptations was you just don't decide to take your kids out for pizza. i wonder how they are going to work that out in the new administration........
the secret service is good at what they do.... you can watch... jyst look for the string....

Good morning
All is good here ! Addie slept thru the night in Johanne's room without whining and trying to get out the door like she did the night before . She went right in played with a toy then slept thru the night . I explained to her it will only get better from here . Addie is much less interested in me and follows Johanne around the house. At 930 we are going to a characters breakfast at the Disney resort to meet Micky and Minnie Mouse !Then off to tour Pearl Harbor .

It is final exam week here, so Clark and I are just about finished with my first semester of my PhD program. One down, many to go...
Last weekend, we went to see Phantom of the Opera. We've been to shows several times, and the ushers are always so excited to see Clark and to take care of us. For this show, there were several special effects throughout the performance (chandelier crashing, fake gunshots, pyrotechnics at one point), and the ushers let me know before the show started when exactly they would occur. Clark didn't budge at any of them! Just took the opportunity for an afternoon nap. When the lights came on at intermission, he poked his head up behind the seat as if to say "oh, is it time to get up?"
Unrelated, but hopefully good for a chuckle: we are very used to horse/pony/moose comments and questions. The other day though, someone asked, "Is that a mastadon?"
They were either joking or they meant "mastiff", I am not sure. :)

Hi everyone!
this past weekend we went to dinner and to walk around a local botanical garden to check out the Christmas lights with several friends. Even after 3 years together my girl still amazes me! She was perfect during dinner, shocking other diners when we got up to leave as they didn't realize such a big dog was even in the restaurant. We then went to the botanical gardens and it was very crowded and noisy and she was wonderful. She has even gotten much better with loud bangs. There were. fireworks in the distance and she just tucked her tail and kept right on going. We've had issues previously where she's tried to drop to the ground but we've been working very hard and she's made amazing strides! As always, thank you SO much to you and everyone that works their tails off to make SDP what it is. We wish you all Happy Holidays!!

JUST SENDING YOU AN UPDATE ON HOW CINDY AND I ARE GETTING ALONG. FIRST THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING FRIEND! WE ARE A PERFECT PET PAIRING, BUT CINDY IS SO MUCH MORE.. 2 WEEKS AGO WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK (IT WAS SNOWING, NOT BLIZZARD SNOW, BUT ENOUGH TO GET MESSY AND DANGEROUS…) I HIT A PATCH OF BLACK ICE AND SLID INTO A CULVERT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ROLLED MY SUV (SEE PICTURE). DANGLING FROM MY SEATBELT IS NOT A FEELING I WANT TO EXPERIENCE AGAIN. ARRIVING HOME 2+ HOURS AFTER ORIGINALLY DUE TO ARRIVE (IM GRATEFUL CINDY HOLDS HER BLADDER) BRING CINDY OUT TO DO HER BUSINESS, BACK INSIDE TO FEED THE ANIMALS (CINDY AND THE CAT POOKY) BREAKFAST. NOW HAVING THE TIME TO SIT AND CALM DOWN, THE ADRENALINE WAS NOW GONE AND THE TEARS STARTED TO FLOW FROM THE EMOTIONS OF THE MORNING FINALLY CATCHING UP TO ME… AS I WAS SITTING AND WEEPING LIKE A BABY ( AND THE THOUGHTS IN MY HEAD GOING TO A DARK PLACE), CINDY CAME OVER, PUT HER HEAD INTO MY CHEST AND THEN EVER SO GENTLY, LICKED MY TEARS. SHE CONTINUED TO DO THIS UNTIL I CALMED DOWN. THEN BROUGHT CINDY BACK OUTSIDE AND IT WAS SNOWING AGAIN, AND CINDY CHANGED MY THINKING… I WAS A BLUBBERING BABY, AND SHE STARTED KIMPING AND PLAYING IN THE SNOW, HAVING SO MUCH FUN AND MAKING ME LAUGH AND SMILE IN THE PROCESS. SHE BROUGHT ME BACK FROM THAT DARK PLACE. SHE MAY NOT BE MY “SERVICE DOG” BUT SHES CERTAINLY A VERY SPECIAL SUPPORT FOR ME. AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR MY BEST FRIEND!
