I ALWAYS TRY AND HAVE THIS DD PROVIDE SOME KIND OF VALUABLE INFORMATION...- THIS MORNING IS NO DIFFERENT, ALTHO
THE VALUE MIGHT BE QUESTIONABLE.......
I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT--- BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE,--- SCOTCH TAPE WILL REMOVE THE PERMANENT INK FROM ONE'S FOREHEAD... A MARK LEFT OVER FROM THE CATARACT EPISODE..
IT WAS INTERESTING... THE SURGEON HERSELF CAME IN THE ROOM BEFORE I HAD ANY MEDICATION AND GOT A NEW "SHARPIE" OUT OF THE CLOSET, VERIFIED MY NAME AND WHICH EYE SHE WAS TO "DO" AND WHAT SHE WAS TO DO TO IT...THEN MADE AN OFFICIAL SMUDGE OVER MY RIGHT EYE. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FACT THAT SHE THREW AWAY TEH BRAND NEW SHARPIE ( GERMS YOU KNOW)--
AS I WAS WHEELED INTO THE OR, I WAS VERY RELAXED-- I KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO CUT HOLES IN MY EYE, BUT I SURE DIDN'T CARE.... I WAS AWAKE ENOUGH TO REALIZE THE 5 OR 6 PEOPLE IN TH E OR WERE ALL SAYING "RIGHT" WHICH I HOPED WAS "RIGHT " AS OPPOSED TO "LEFT" RATHER THAN OPPOSED TO "WRONG"- BUT I DECIDED NOT TO CARE ABOUT THAT EITHER.
MEDICINE IS A WONDERFUL THING. WHEN I CAME 'ROUND, I FOUND OUT THE BLANKETS WERE WHITE, AN D NOT LIGHT TAN AS I HAD PREVIOUSLY THOUGTH.
ALSO I NO LONGER NEED MY GLASSES FOR DISTANCE--- ONLY READING-- SO BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER SAT ON MY NOSE, I PROMPTLY LOST THEM. THIS IS PROGRESS.

THE BOARD MEETING LAST NIGHT WE TALKED AND GABBLED FOR A LONGTIME THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DISCUSSION WAS TO HAVE STICKERS ONTEH LIFE SAVERS WHIC SAY "THANKS FOR BEING A LIFE SAVER COMPLIMENTS OF SERVICE DOG PROJEDDCT" EVERYTHING ELSE WENT FAIRLY NORMAL-- DOGFEST - VIRTUALLY NO CHANGES- AND VERIFIED TEH HANGING AROUND WAS TEH CRITICAL PART. I WONDERED ABOUT TRYING TO HAVE AN ORGANIZED SHUTTLE SERVICE-- HOW MANY PEOPLE RENTED CARS??? WAS THAT A WASTE OF MONEY? YTBD--- MOSTLY IT WAS A TIME TO THROW IDEAS ABOUT AND SEE IF ANY WOULD HATCH...
W/R/T MY PORTABLE SHATTING PROJECT.... A FEW SUGGESTIONS WERE MADE ABOUT ADDING BASIC INFO AND A LITTLE CLEAN UP -- AND THEN ITWILL BE READY TO TRY-- SO IF ANY OF YOU ARE HAVING ANY KIND OF FALL "FEST" COCKTAIL PARTY, SILENT AUCTION OR ABOUT ANY GATHERING, JUST ASK.. AND.. MAYBE.... I WILL SEND YOU A THUMB DRIVE WHICH YOU CAN JUST PLUG INTO A LAPTOP OR WHATEVER, AND SUPERVISE A SHATTING--- FOR THE BENEFIT OF SDP--- OR SPLIT 50/50 WITH YOUR HOSTING ORGANIZATION.
GIVE ME A WEEK... MAYBE. 10 DAYS.
******
THE OTHER IDEA WAS TO PROVIDE A FLYER FOR ANY OF YOU WHO ARE SENDING OUT CHRISTMAS CARDS- TO INCLUDE IN TEH ENVELOPE SO THAT MORE PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THE CAMERAS AND WHOLE PROJECT...
****
IT IS A FACT THAT THIS IS A CHARITY IN WHICH YOU CAN PARTICIPATE ON A DAILY BASIS FRORM THE DAILY DOGGIE TO 5PM MAIL CALL-- AND WATCH ALL THE PUPS BECOME SUCH INVALUABLE PART OF SOMEONE'S LIFE...
****
ALSO--- MARK MENTIONED, HE DID NOT THINK EVERYONE REALIZED THAT I DRAW NO SALARY, PAY, OR RENT --I GET A LITTLE UPSET WHEN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER SAYS ?RETIRED? -- YES I AM -- AND I NEVER WORKED SO HARD IN THE REST OF MY LIFE.-- NOR DID I HAVE SO MUCH FUN EITHER..
*********
I HAVE A HUGE DOUBT ABOUT RETURNING MY "OLD PHONE" WHICH I SAID WAS LOST-- WHEN IT WAS--- BUT NOW, DO I RETURN IT , OR WAIT TIL I LOSE THE "NEW" ONE AND SAVE ALOT OF POSTAGE.
********
POSTAGE... I THINK WE ARE PRETTY UP TO DATE ON SUPPLIES-- SO RATHER THAN SEND US STUFF, WHAT REALLY IS NEEDED IS THE MONEY-- SO SEND US WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE SPENT ON POSTAGE ALL THE $3,19 OR $12.38 WILL ADD UP

What a difference a year makes. I can’t imagine not having Zeke, my towering, furry ball of love. Every day he is there to help me. He checks up on me when I wake up, pressing his nose to my face; he helps me walk into the bathroom and into the dining room so I can eat; he’s waiting there for me in his bed while I eat; he’s there getting love from all five kids before school. We are always together like two peas in a pod, walking into the bedroom as I get ready, getting dressed himself, loading up into the van off to do daily chores (volunteering in the classroom, appointments, PTA meetings, Scholastic Book fairs, acupuncture, yoga), and going back home to wait for kids to come home. Five kids have lots of activities, so Zeke allows me to get to all those things. Zeke and I watch soccer games and football games and are always there to listen to Lizzie sing the National Anthem at sporting events, musicals and concerts to watch. Zeke is life-changing to my community, family, and to me. Thank you to everyone that has supported the Service Dog Project. Zeke is truly magical.
Love,
Shannon & Zeke

"THANK YOU” IS NOT A BIG ENOUGH WORD FOR YOUR GENEROUS GIFT OF LINT.
WHAT A JOY TO BE OUT AND ABOUT WITH A BEAUTIFUL, WELL-CARED FOR, WELL-BEHAVED HUGE DOG.
LINT DRAWS A CROWD WHEREVER WE GO, AND IT WAS SO DEAR WHEN I WALKED INTO THE CO-OP AND HEARD, “LINT!” THEY OF COURSE KNEW HIM FROM THE TRAINING RUNS OF MEGHAN, STEVE, OLIVIA, AND OTHERS.
OUR FIRST DAY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. HE LOOKS AT ME LIKE I’M HIS BEST FRIEND. AND THE FEELING IS MUTUAL.
BECAUE HE’S SO WELL-BEHAVED AND GRACEFUL, HE’S NOT AT ALL IMPOSING AS HIS SIZE MIGHT SUGGEST.
