THE TWINS HAVE LEFT-- GREAT KIDS- BRIGHT AND GREAT WORKERS-- THEY SAID THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE WAS PUTTIN UP THE TIPI.. HOPEFULLY THEY LEARNED ALOT OF NEW AND DIFFERENT CONCEPTS WHEN THEY WERE HERE...
***********
OPAL IS HERE- SOMEWHERE- VERY LARGE BELLY--- I WILL TRY AND KEEP HER ON CAMERA FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS--HOWEVER.... WHEN SHE STARTS TO HAVE PUPS SHE WILL BE ON THE "NURSERY " CAMERA... BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO KEEP MOVING THE HOUSE CAM AS SHE WANDERS AROUND.
****
WE DID GET A NOTE THAT FEDEX WILL BE PICKING UP THE HUGE BOX OF CAMERA EQUIPMENT THAT EXPLORE LEFT HERE- I SAW A REFERENCE TO 400 POUNDS...IT IS A BIGGGGG BOX.
IT IS NO SECRET I PREFER DOGS.... AND A GUY ON CNN TODAY MADE ME REALIZE WHY..
A DOG DOES NOT MAKE INTERPERSONAL( INTERDOG?) DECISIONS BASED ON WHO THEIIR PARENTS ARE, OR WHAT THEIR JOB STATUS IS. A DOG IS WHATEVER HE IS WITHOUT THE BURDENS OF SOCIETY... OR HISTORY. ANYTHING I SAY BEYOND THAT WILL JUST GET ME IN TROUBLE WITH SOMEONE.
MY FAMILY HISTORY DOES NOT ENTITLE ME TO A SEAT AT ANY TABLE...
I HAVE HEARD STORIES ABOUT MY VARIOUS FAMILY MEMBERS --- ONE WAS HUNG FOR BEING A HORSE THIEF, THERE WAS AN INDIAN IN THERE SOMEWHERE.... ANOTHER WAS WIPED OUT IN THE JOHNSTOWN FLOOD ( GOOD BOOK BY DAVID MCCOULUGH)- ONE RAN A FARM FOR MILK DELIVERY HORSES FROM NYC... AND ANOTHER WAS AN ENGINEER WHO DESIGNED THE TRAFFIC IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY NY... WHICH -- TODAY ---IS A SCREWED UP MESS.
I WAS BORN INTO THAT FAMILY. ANYTHING THAT ENABLED ME TO BE WHERE I NOW AM... WAS PURE DUMB LUCK-
WELL...IT WAS DUMB LUCK ... AND OWNING A HORSE TRAILER,.... BECAUSE WHERE I NOW AM IS SITTING AT MY FATHER'S OLD OAK DESK WHICH WEIGHS A TON AND I WAS TH E ONLY MEMBER OF THE FAMILY THAT COULD MOVE IT.... THANKS TO A HORSE TRAILER.
I DON'T KNOW HOW PEOPLE CAN LIVE WITHOUT A TRAILER...
*****
I NOW DRIVE AN SUV-- IT IS BIG.. AND BASICALLY A TRUCK BODY INTO WHICH I OFTEN PUT 1000 POUNDS OF WHATEVER..
HOWEVER .. IN MY YOUTH..WHEN THE KIDS WERE SMALL, I DROVE A VW BUG- AND BECAUSE I RAN A MAGAZINE DELIVERY BUSINESS-- ONCE A WEEK I NEEDED THE CAPABILITIES OF A FULL VAN... SO I BOUGHT A SMALL TRAILER TO PULL BEHIND MY VW.... WORKED WONDERFULLY-- YOU CAN PULL A TRAILER VERY EASILY AND THE REST OF THE TIME JUST DISCONNECT IT AND SAVE GAS THE REST OF THE WEEK.
I DON'T KNOW WHY MORE PEOPLE DON'T HAVE SMALL CARS AND PULL TRAILERS .. MAYBE IT IT BACKING THEM UP THAT SCARES PEOPLE..
THE GEM OF THE DAY
BACKING A TRAILER IS REALLY SIMPLE... PUT YOUR HAND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND THAT IS THE DIRECTION THE REAR OF THE TRAILER WILL GO WHEN BACKING

BIG EXCITEMENT
BECKY HAS CHANDLER-- A BLACK DONATED PUP FROM FLORIDA-- AND WIL BE BRINGING HIM TO MIDDLEBORO ON MONDAY-- WE NEED TO GET HIM PICKED UP FROM HER ON MONDAY.. MIGHT BE GREAT IDEA TO HAVE HIM STAY WITH SOMEONE FOR A QUARENTINE PERIOD...?
I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHY I DID THIS--- WE COULD BLAME GOLDIE ( OUR Ghost Of Lefthand Drawer)
i said i would like to find ANOTHER BLACK MALE PUP TO INCREASE THE GEEN POOL, AND BECKY FROM FLORIDA SAID SHE RAN INTO A BREEDER WHO SAID THE PARENTS WERE FROM EUROPE AND SHE COULD DONATE A PUP.. IT WILL BE INTERESTING... VERY OFTEN IT IS SAID FROM EUROPE, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY MEAN FROM EUROPEAN BLOODLINES... WHICH IS DILUTED WITH AMERICAN NORMAL LIGHTER BONED TALLER " SHOW DOGS." BECKY WAS TRAVELLING TO MIDDLEBORO MASS... AND THE WHOLE THING JUST FELL IN PLACE VERY NICELY--- SO HOPING ONCE MORE FOR DUMB LUCK... I ASKED HER TO BRING IT UP.

Dear Carlene,
I just wanted to send you this email to let you know that Jessie is doing well. We celebrated our one year anniversary for being together.
She is working with me now and is doing things at my pace. I would like to say thank you for donating her to me so that I can do what I am doing…going to restaurants, movie theaters, baseball games and stores. She gets more compliments than me!
Without her, I would not be able to do the things I am doing. Thank you for allowing me to come down to the farm and work with her and get to know her. I am able to walk better and do everyday normal things without assistance from other people.
She is a very good companion and loves to be snuggled every morning. She loves her family and wants to be involved in what they are doing. She has a friend, now, that’s part Great Dane. They play in a ball field together. She likes to go on car rides.
I hope things are going well for you on the farm and that you are getting plenty of applicants for all your dogs, just like you got me for Jessie.
Sincerely,
John Taylor
